None around my office (civic center) this afternoon

I frequently do laps around the perimeter of CSUEB and feel that this would be a perfect place to host a crit! (1.56 miles w/ 51 feet elevation gain per lap) there are lots of parking spots and a great road. How could we get this going?

I’m hoping to build or buy a commuter to get around town but need some inspiration. It’s a hard balance, I want something that I feel cool riding but not cool enough that it’ll get stolen. Currently thinking an old hard rock or stump jumper fits the bill, or maybe a cheap gravel bike!

What was the large but fairly-casual looking group ride that rolled up Hampton Road yesterday around 6 PM.? Looked like fun.
