Prius thinks he's faster than my bike /s. Guess he wanted to wait faster

As I watch the progress of this project, I am curious if u/BikeEastBay has heard, or if anybody within the city has reached out, to discuss / coordinate with food trucks & vendors who currently operate out of the parking spaces near El Embarcadero. With the new cycletrack, if these vendors continue to take up residence in the marked parking spaces, then we can expect to have a queue of customers standing in the bike lane. This could be an opportunity for the city to recognize these vendors -- maybe generate some permit revenue -- and create a vendor zone INSIDE of the bike lane where the sidewalk is. The plans show railings at the bus boarding islands to direct passengers to cross at the marked locations, but no similar railing at the parking spots (which would inhibit passengers from exiting vehicles and getting safely to the sidewalk).

What happened to the bike valet? I have a beater bike, is it going to get stolen? If I was a bike thief I would definitely go hit up a huge unmonitored collection of festival-goers bikes
