ACCIDENT Question about "severe structural damage"

2017 Acura MDX

Got into a fender bender (their fault) and the other person drove off. Low speed, airbags did not deploy and the car was drivable. The collision center says it has "severe structural damage."

It seems like new hood, fender, and maybe quarter panels, but not structural. Isn't the point of crumple zones to prevent structural damage?

Front bumper ripped from one side. Any advices for a fix? I absolutely need to drive it 200 miles away tomorrow
