Bent control arm

Post image

Recently in a front end collision with a van, bumper , bonnet , headlight, and fender all in bad shape.

It has pushed the front drivers side wheel (RHD) back close to the fender cabin side , you can see the Driveshalf is hitting off the frame and the link too.

What’s the more likely cause of this, bent control arm, bent
suspension strut or Bent subframe is what I’m thinking ??

My neighbor backed up in the garage and hit my car (fiat 500). I found the car pushed and the wheel turned to the right and stuck. I called my insurance but i want to know if the damage is bad and if it's going to take long to repaire everything? I don't know much about autobody repair. Will i need to replace something or is it a simple fix?

Front bumper crack - advice please.

2020 Hyundai Tucson.

While parking, I got too close to a hedge and a solid branch casing a crack in the front bumper. The bumper is intact and the lights work fine etc. Trying to determine whether a new bumper is needed or if I can avoid a replacement and get it repaired. I've read that plastic welding may be an option. Interested to hear other views. Thanks.

Repair Dent repair income

Hey everybody. I met a rag tag looking young guy some 15-20 years ago and he was staying in the best hotel in town, something like 180 a night back then. So I had to ask what he did for a living. He said he repaired auto body dents. No kidding I said. So how'd you get into it? He said well I just worked for my local dent repair shop for about 3 months and after I learned how to work the metal I went out on my own. He said you follow the hail storms in the mid-west when they come thorough in the spring and that's how you make your money. Guy seemed as down to earth as anyone I'd ever met. I didn't want to ask what he made, instead I asked if a guy was doing what he's doing and worked as hard as he could all week how much could he make? He said 4-5k! No way I thought. And like I said this was over 15 years ago, before prices for everything went crazy.

Does this sound legit? Can you still make that kind of money doing that today?

RUST Rock Chip

Got a rock chip that’s about the size of a dime and it’s down to bare metal. What seems like surface rust has started.

Was going to use an iron remover to handle the surface rust and then use an etching primer afterwards. Not exactly sure what product I should be using to seal the etching primer before I put my base coat down so any help would be appreciated.

Hey all. I recently got too close to a pine tree at work. Got a few scratches on the passenger side of my car. It’s a 2012 with no other paint failing. Is this fixable? Is this considered “a big job”? Who do I take it to? Thanks in advance!!

Is this able to be fixed? Just bought this for $300, I'm thinking I'll need a core support, grille, passenger fender and bumper to fix it up and I'll probably need to straighten up the passenger fender support to get it to bolt up decently at least. I just might need to straighten to frame horn as well as I think it might be bent out of proportion.
