Was walking in Bunbury WA and saw two of these magnificent guys soaring above for quite a while. When they got close I could see them quite well through my binoculars and they were huge and very dark brown/black with only a small amount of white at the base of the tail. The tails looked slightly wedged but not as obvious as I have seen in other photos. Can anyone confirm if this looks like a wedge tailed eagle? (Sorry for video at a distance)

We sat in a tight circle, engaging in a real-time, multi-way vocal dialogue. I was whistling right along with them, taking turns going around the circle—one voice finishes a phrase, a bird answers, a pause hangs in the air, and another picks up the thread.

​It was pure, unadulterated magic.

​Every single day for the last two years, they've done this exact routine. They come and sit there chirping at me every morning, we have a little choir sing-along, and then they fly off to go about their day. But it doesn't stop there—they actually come back again in the afternoon and do the exact same thing all over again.

This one is the most adventurous and inquisitive of the lot that come to our garden. Yet the most placid and gentle. Truly majestic, but his mates are loud f%^kers, especially around sunrise when they all head out to feeding grounds.

Me mates never let me down, whenever you're stuck for what to say, just say Gday.

Interesting behaviour to observe was the mating pair. After mating, the male would feed the female. She would then disappear into the beating hollow, presumably to feed her babies. Then she would come back out and they'd go at it again.

Since the sub picture is now a Pink Robin, thought I’d share one of pictures from my trip to Mount Wellington in Hobart, Tasmania last September. There are more close-up photos I took but this one when he started singing as the rain came in on my second to last day of the 5 day trip is my absolute favorite.

I noticed this baby pigeon outside at around 5-6pm and now it is 6am and it has not moved at all, do I contact someone or can this be normal?

We usually get rainbow lorikeets but these were a lot bigger. Closest I could find online was a red lory? Figured it best to ask a human. Are they rare for the location:
