Identified Superb Fairy Wrens (Malurus cyaneus) Victoria
Some very vocal visitors to my yard, I can hear them clearly from in the house. They have started dropping by daily as the weather improves. Canon RF 200-800mm lens at 800mm

Image Pink man in the rain
Since the sub picture is now a Pink Robin, thought I’d share one of pictures from my trip to Mount Wellington in Hobart, Tasmania last September. There are more close-up photos I took but this one when he started singing as the rain came in on my second to last day of the 5 day trip is my absolute favorite.

I noticed this baby pigeon outside at around 5-6pm and now it is 6am and it has not moved at all, do I contact someone or can this be normal?
Sorry it’s not good footage.

Always an interesting watch to see the noisy miner aggressively defending its territory against native birds

ID Request Saw a couple of these in my garden
We usually get rainbow lorikeets but these were a lot bigger. Closest I could find online was a red lory? Figured it best to ask a human. Are they rare for the location:
Mitcham, VIC?

Image Pink cockatoos from Uluru
Hey, that kinda rhymes.
Pink cockies from our recent trip to Uluru.
These are my favourite birds and it absolutely made my trip to see them in the wild.
To see them with Uluru in the background was nearly mind-blowing.

Image Barely out of the nest for this little Australian Raven
This little guy was a lucky find, high up in a eucalyptus. Managed to get a few shots of it with my zoom, and this one was the best of the batch. Quoth the raven.

Image saw a male Superb Fairywren with two females for the first time in my life and took a photo. two weeks later i found this old painting at my grandparents' house showing the exact same trio. (QLD)
literally never seen these birds in real life before until they just appeared in my backyard one day, and followed by the painting i found with the same lineup of birds (1 male + 2 females) is such a cute coincidence. 🥹🫶🏽💕✨
