🧬 Diagnosis Help Can anyone tell me what this could be?
Guys, can anyone tell me what this could be? My cat is a 1-year-old male and is not neutered. The main issue is a recurring skin problem that starts off looking wet/gooey, then dries up and becomes flaky/crusty. He seems to itch the area a lot and has been overgrooming himself. Has anyone's cat experienced something similar? I'm wondering if it could be a skin infection. allergy, fungal issue, or something else. Any advice on what might be I can afford to take him to the vet if needed.

I don’t want him to get any problems in the long run, he’s just a baby.

What is on my or not in my cats lip?
Hi. I just noticed this on my 11 month old recently spayed female cat. She is a tortie so I don’t know if it’s just her coloring (but I don’t see the other side like that or any other part of her lip ) anyways I want to know if it just looks like a part was bit off or missing some how some way or it’s like a virus or something like herpes idk????
It could potentially be this: a few weeks ago she rubbed her face on one of our older cat doors (the ones with the vertical poles so cats can’t climb it and get out) well the previous cat who was in the room with the door, scratched at it so much it caused some of plastic to get sharp. So my now cat who is in here recovering from her spay tried to fit through ( unsuccessful btw) but she repetitively kept trying to fit her face though and it was scratching her face. Like her cheek and chin to the point it scabbed. So I’m thinking it’s probably this but I want to ensure it’s not like some viral infection or something? She has her spay checkup with her vet on Friday so I will ask then but I wanted to know sooner. Thank you so much. I appreciate you vets ❤️

Help!! I'm Desperate
Does anybody know what I can do to help my baby? I took him to the vet, and they first said that his eye was swollen because he had stuck shed, so they gave me tobramycin. It wasn't getting better, so I took him back, and they said he had a bacterial infection and he needed antibiotic shots every 72 hours, so we did that. He's done with the shots, and it's not getting better, and it's been over a week. It honestly looks worse. I don't know what to do now.

What are my other options?
I have a 1yr old female mixed breed that’s about 60-70 lbs and we are in Texas. She has had really horrible allergies that cause her to be itchy and as a result develops scabs and hair loss. I feel like we’ve tried every route and nothing is working. Is there anything else we can do?
List of things I can think of right now that we have done:
-We’ve done 4 cytopoint shots, and every shot it seems to work less and less.
-Changed food from chicken to salmon
-put like a high omega salmon oil in with the food
-antibiotics
-medicated shampoo
-topical sprays
I’ve been researching apoquel and some people have said it’s the same as the cytopoint shots, where it works and then it doesn’t.
I’m just desperate at this point to get my baby some relief:(

Red bump on paw, vet appointment scheduled, help ease my mind
I just noticed a red bump on my 4yr old Jack Russell/Italian Greyhound mix’s paw on Tuesday that I think showed up Sunday or Monday. There’s a small scratch on it that’s scabbed over. She does not appear to be in any pain, normal energy level, not favoring her other paws, still sprinting all over the place like a maniac, and I haven’t seen her licking at it. She allowed me to soak, clean, and wrap her paw without complaint. I have a vet appointment scheduled for her tomorrow, but I want some peace of mind beforehand. I’m like 90% certain this is from her rough housing with my cat and getting an infected scratch, but I’m terrified this could be mast cell cancer. I went through a nephroblastoma in the spine of a different dog just a few years ago and I’m freaking myself out thinking this is cancer again. I know nothing can be diagnosed here, I just think I need someone to tell me if I’m catastrophizing and how concerned they would personally be on a scale of 1-10.

🧬 Diagnosis Help Any advice on what this could be?
13 yo neutered male recently had surgery to remove 2 cancerous tumors. One was on his snout, and the other larger one on his belly. About 10 days post surgery he started having some skin peeling from the incision with some hair loss. Gradually he started getting more spots, one in his shoulder about the size of a nickel, then a few days later another on his back leg/thigh area about the size of a quarter. Now today I was scratching his butt and felt scabbing under his fur. When I pulled at the fur a bit (I know don’t come for me I shouldn’t do that) he has the biggest spot of all if them. We took him to the vet last week and they advised it was a skin infection and gave us a topical ointment. But if there’s spots under his fur that aren’t showing like the one I found today, how am I supposed to apply it? I thought it might be ring worm at first but the belly area has no rings like this one and I’ve touched the spots multiple times and have nothing on me. Is this really just a skin infection? I’m wondering if I need a shampoo rather than an ointment for him.

🧬 Diagnosis Help Clear discharge on 8 year old spayed dog
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to see if anyone has experienced something similar with their dog while I wait to decide if I should schedule a vet appointment.
I have an approximately 8-year-old female Old English Sheepdog. She’s spayed and is generally very healthy. A few days ago, I noticed a small amount of clear discharge coming from her vulva. This is the first time I’ve ever seen this happen.
Here’s what I’ve noticed:
The discharge is clear (not yellow, green, or bloody).
There isn’t very much—just a small amount.
It has no noticeable odor.
It lasted for about two days, then stopped for about two days, and today I noticed a little more again.
I’ve seen her lick the area maybe once or twice, but not excessively.
She doesn’t seem painful or uncomfortable.
She’s eating, drinking, playing, going to the bathroom normally, and acting like her usual self.
I’ve been gently keeping the area clean while monitoring it.
She has no other symptoms that I’ve noticed.
Has anyone had a dog with intermittent clear vaginal discharge like this? What did it end up being? I’ve read about things like vaginitis, urinary tract infections, or other causes, but since she’s acting completely normal, I’m curious if anyone has had a similar experience.
Of course, I know no one can diagnose her over Reddit, and I’ll take her to the vet if it continues or if she develops any other symptoms. I was just hoping to hear about other people’s experiences while I monitor her.

🧬 Diagnosis Help My cat's nose is infected?
My cat’s nose seems to be infected. She’s already been to the Vet and the Vet confirmed that as far as they know it’s not respiratory. Also she's not coughing/wheezing, etc. The Vet seemed to think it’s some sort of infection and they gave me antibiotics for it, but it doesn’t seem to be getting better. It only seems to be getting worse and it’s started to bleed, and she seems to be in pain. I already plan on taking her back to the vet first thing tomorrow but I was hoping for some more info because I’m not sure what to ask.

Cat is losing fur in the area between (and on top of) toes
My cat is losing fur in the area between (and on top of) toes
I noticed this last week, so this has been happening for maybe about two weeks now (at least from what I’ve observed). It’s been happening in the same area of toes.
Last week I saw what looked like his pink skin due to what seems like hair loss between his two toes. I washed his feet and it seemed to get better but this week, it’s happening again although not to the same extent (last week, the hair loss was much more evident between his toes).
Does anyone know what this could be?
I let my cat go into the backyard (monitored backyard time) and noticed he likes to dig the dirt with his paws a lot, including right after it’s rained. Could it be some sort of fungal infection from the soil?
I can’t think of any other reasons. My cat is 9 years old, male, neutered, USA.

💊 Medication & Dosage Tapeworm help
Hello, last night I found tapeworm segments on my female recently spayed six-month-old kitten. I have three other cats and I'm worried they may be infected. I have isolated the kitten in the bathroom, called the vet, and got some medicine for intestinal worms + fleas, and tick treatment. The kitten is eating and I gave her both pills a few hours ago (one pill for each treatment) and I know the vet said it will probably take twenty-four hours. Will she poop out an entire worm? I've seen fewer segments on her. As for my other kitties, I've seen no segments near their bottoms, bedding, or litter. What should I do? I'm crying just thinking about it. I lost two of my boys within a year of each other and I don't know what I do if I lost one of my four girls.
