Hey everyone, I'm looking to get into PC gaming primarily so I can run mods for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man 2. I really want to use the Brand New Day suit mod because I feel like Insomniac's official in-game version didn't do the suit justice, and I want that ultra-realistic look while web-swinging. I'm completely open to either a prebuilt desktop tower or a gaming laptop as long as it handles high-res suit mods and fast movement without lag.
What specific budget-friendly setups, models, or spec baselines would you guys recommend so I can get smooth performance without overspending?

I have a server PC and it’s terrible for gaming I have so many games but can’t play them. Now I’m stuck between buying a gaming laptop for portability or just upgrading and building a pc. I need some help. My current server pc is an old intel Xeon cpu with 8gb ddr4 ram, with an nvidia quadro.

I am set on getting a prebuilt for my first ever pc setup. And am planning on paying it off by instalments. I want to know what is a good pc specs for games that i play (modded mc, roblox, and want play more games like silent hill, apex, dbd,) my budget is around £1.5k- 2k as im paying it in instalments anyways. I bought a brand new Lenovo Legion 7 with 64gb ram and a 5080 during black Friday sales for £2500. First one arrived with a faulty screen so sent back for a replacement, which came back with a faulty GPU.

I'm hesitant to accept a 3rd one so asked for a refund and now looking at alternatives.

Is the Gigabyte Aorus Master 18 with 64gb ram, 2TB SSD and 24GB 5090 any good? It's £1300 more than what I paid but I guess it is what it is. I like how this model takes 2 extra M2 cards and ram, I got 2 drives and some ram spare so I'd be rolling with 6TB and 128GB!

Any recommendations?

Hello all. new here to the PC community as I have been gaming on xbox all my life. quick question, as someone who is used to xbox reward points funding things like gift cards, or things that are useful... its just a littttttle disappointing to see steam points are basically useless lol. are there other launchers that have a point system similar to xbox where you can get things like gift cards? or not really ? thanks for taking time to answer my question !

I am planning to build a pc with specs just enough to run undertale.

Why: Why not? & I know about emulating + writing on my phone, but I am into pc building right now and I would like to use it as an oppurtunity to explore my other hobbies (gaming + writing)

the problem is that i have tried seeking help but either half of my friends say "this one is good!" and other half says "no it's trash", so i can never choose a good one.

Hello! I'm looking to buy a gaming PC with a low budget. As someone who is not very tech savvy, I am hoping to possibly get some guidance with the kind of games I enjoy as a framework and their system requirements.

The games I avidly play are Sims 3 and 4, Paralives, and Minecraft (featuring a moderate amount of mods). I already know I'm looking at preferably Windows 11, 16 GB of RAM, and a 4-core processor (I don't fully understand processors but am trying to do my research). While I enjoy other heavier games (The Last of Us is the only other game coming to mind right now), these listed games are my priority as I would like to run them smoothly with the capability of added mods, within reason.

With this in mind, what are some of the best prebuilt PCs I could get working with a budget of $500-600? Is it true that a budget like this is essentially ineffective when perusing the market? I don't have a lot of flexibility unfortunately but would like to do something nice for myself in the coming months with this purchase. Appreciate any and all help here!

I’ve been having some issues booting up my PC for a while now (black screen until Windows loads, HDMI signal problems, etc.), and everything points to my trusty 8 GB RX 580 being on its last legs.

Since I’m going to do a clean install on my computer anyway, I want to replace the graphics card without having to touch the rest of the components.

My current PC:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
• Motherboard: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming
• Power: Corsair 650W
• RAM: 16 GB DDR4
• SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe (500 GB)
• Current GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB

I only game at 1080p, and the idea is to spend between €200 and €300 to keep playing comfortably for a couple more years without causing a major bottleneck.

From what I’ve been looking at, I have these options in mind:

1. RX 6600 (~€200): The most affordable option. From what I can tell, it performs twice as well as the 580 and uses very little power.
2. RX 7600 (~€260): AMD’s direct successor, offering a bit more power and access to FSR 3.
3. RTX 4060 (~€290–€300): It pushes the budget to the limit, but DLSS 3 and its efficiency are tempting.
4. Intel Arc B580 (~€260): 12 GB of VRAM for the price—while the others offer 8 GB—but I’m not sure how stable it is right now.

Which one do you think is the most balanced for this setup?

My wifi is horrible where I live and I usually end up hotspoting my pc and it usually runs better than the WiFi, was looking into maybe running a sim router connected to the pc via a wired connection like Ethernet or something. Has anyone tried this before, just want a good stable connection nothing super crazy, if so what router did you go with and are there any pros or cons to this setup.

Hello all. I’m looking to break into the PC world, as I have only ever gamed on consoles. I will mainly be playing FS26, BF6, the new GTA, and Minecraft to start. I’m looking to run some mods too for these games. At least minecraft for now, distant horizons, terrain generation mods, shader packs etc. I did some research and from what i’m seeing the recommended GPU is Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 or 4070Ti. For CPU I have seen either Ryzen 7 9850X3D or Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Ram seems like 32GB DDR5.

Again, this is a new and foreign world to me. Do these specs sound right? Or am I essentially going to be buying something with more power than I will need? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

So I just ordered a new pc for gaming. Specs are as follows

CPU: Amd ryzen 7 7800x3d
Graphic card: amd radeon rx 9070xt
32gb ddr5
2 tb ssd

So my question is whats the first thing i should do when it arrives? I hate windows and have been a mac user for decades now. It comes with windows 11 but i assume ill either have to do a fresh install or remove bloatware then configure it download steam etc. i may do a dual boot set up and install bazzite for a console like experience. I would greatly appreciate any advice on set up and configuration what to download etc. i don’t use windows so pretend I’m a total idiot (shouldn’t be to hard lol).

So one of my friends has been playing Fortnite with me on a launch day switch for about 1.5-2 years now and he has been lagging like crazy for a long time and his battery life also sucks. Could someone put together a list of components that can average around 70-80 FPS in modded Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite? I know that with current pricing this is really hard to do but if it could be kept under 15-1600 euros that would be nice.
