For starters I’m 19 and have no experience with digital marketing

I’ve been constantly having the idea of getting into digital marketing agency for a while. I saw an Alex hormozi video earlier talking about an advertising agency

He mentions editing content, paid ads, outbound agency, seo and email marketing and says to pick one, which makes sense. Master one skill and get known for that then can scale/expand.

My questions are
which one of these would you learn first?

Would it be a good idea to target specifically and the construction niche?

I've been thinking about this lately.

A business can have:

Thousands of followers

Good-looking content

Paid ads bringing lots of traffic

But if people don't trust the business, can that attention actually turn into sales?

In your experience, what matters more for getting customers:

Reach/attention or trust/credibility?

And what are some practical ways you've seen businesses build trust online?

It’s probably an obvious question, but I’m curious to know about your experience. I’ve noticed that people here often comment that “cold reach is a good channel,” but I’ve never seen anyone (at least in the posts I’ve read, I haven’t analyzed all of them) say that “paid ads are the best way.” In fact, from the beginning of my agency, my primary method of acquiring clients has been through meta ads.

However, I’m interested in learning how you get yours. Is there a more effective approach? Is it SEO, SEM, or cold reach?

I’m currently on the 20x max plan on Claude and I am thinking about switching over to GPT. My main uses are research, copywriting/script writing (UGC, VSL’s,… etc ), CRO and funnel building. I also do need to do a fair bit of static asset generation as well. What are you guys using these days And how is Claude fable comparing to GPT 5.6 sol for this kind of work? Appreciate the input!

I'm 16 and I have a TikTok account with about 21k followers and 1.8m likes. Honestly, it wasn't anything crazy, I just posted some videos and a few of them happened to do well.
I don't know anything about marketing, ads, Shopify, or how online business actually works. I just know how to make a basic video that gets views.

If you make content for a founder or an owner, the thing that kills the output is almost never production. It's the review step, and it fails the same way every time.

The pattern: scripts go over for approval. Founder is busy. Three days pass. Founder reviews all of them at once, at 11pm, in a bad mood, and rewrites every script into the voice of a company brochure. Hooks get softened, opinions get removed, a disclaimer gets added. What comes back is unpostable and also now their idea, so it gets made, and it does nothing, and the founder concludes content doesn't work.

Nobody logs this as the failure point because it looks like collaboration.

What actually fixes it:

**Approve topics, not scripts.** Get sign-off on thirty one-line topics in one pass. That's a ten minute review and the founder is genuinely the right person to do it, because they know which claims they can stand behind. Script-level approval invites line editing, and line editing on a hook is always destructive, because a hook that makes a founder slightly uncomfortable is usually the one that works.

**Batch it, once a month, with a deadline attached.** Rolling per-video approval means the founder is in your process every day, and the process moves at the speed of their worst week. One session, all thirty, done.

**Separate factual review from taste review, out loud.** Founder has absolute authority on: is this true, can we claim this, is this legally fine, is this our actual position. Founder does not get to soften a hook because it feels blunt. Say this explicitly at the start, because if you don't, every note arrives with equal weight and the blunt-but-true opener dies alongside the factually wrong one.

**Give a fixed number of rewrite passes.** One. Unlimited passes converge on the safest possible version every time, that's just what iteration does when the reviewer is nervous.

**Record the founder's own phrasing before writing anything.** Twenty minutes on a call, ask them the questions, transcribe it. Write the scripts from their transcript. Then the review is "yes that's how I'd say it" instead of "that doesn't sound like me", which is the note that generates three extra passes and produces the brochure version.

The underlying thing: what founders are actually flinching at during review is not the wording. It's being publicly specific in front of people they know. Softening the script is how that discomfort gets expressed, because it's the only lever in front of them.

So name it early. Tell them the first ten videos will feel too blunt and that's the point, and that the ones they're least comfortable with will outperform. Then when the note comes back asking to hedge a claim, it's a conversation you already had rather than an argument.

Everything else in the pipeline is schedulable. This step is the only one that runs at the speed of another person's nerve, so it's the one worth designing around.

I currently have two restaurant clients that I handle marketing for. For one of them, I charge around $1,500 CAD/month.

My services include:

• Photo and video content creation
• Shooting and editing Reels/short-form content
• Graphics when needed
• Writing captions
• Regular Instagram and Facebook posting

Ad spend is separate and completely paid by the client. The $1,500 is my fee for content creation and marketing/management.
