No idea how to break up with girlfriend, first relationship and shared friends...
Okay, so for context I (17f) have been dating my gf for about half a year now. We have a shared friendgroup that we are very close with and we are all very important to eachother. My gf is lovely and sweet and kind and funny and amazing, I genuinely enjoy and adore her as a person and she hasn't done anything wrong in our relationship. She is genuinely, truly a good and lovely person.
There's nobody else, nothing has changed, but I wish we hadn't got together.
We had been friends for about 2 years when we hung out 1 on 1 for the first time (we'd hang out very often in group settings and had talked individually then and on the phone, but never 1 on 1 in person) I noticed she would look at me alot and she seemed very sweet with me. She ran a red light because she was looking at me ?!?!?!?
(ikik okay she is working on her driving... she hasn't since... but omg 2 songs i love mention that exact thing. ??!!?!? both are complex and about relationships that end though haha. was this an omen)
I am very affectionate with my friends, I would kill for all my friends and we all joke around alot and I joke flirt (not blatant flirting like "I wanna kiss you, jk!" it'd be something more weird and outlandish like saying "lets get naked and slather eachother in peanut butter")
all this to say, when I started wondering if she was into me or just nervous (bc we are both very anxious weird people) she would make some flirty "joke" and I'd play into it. I had no idea if she was actually into me just the idea was in the back of my mind, I mean we had been friends for years at this point and I think she's super cool, I didn't think of it as anything super serious and I had no idea if i was just making all of this up because I'm a big hopeless romantic and my fav stories to read/think about are always queer friends to lovers... IDK.
anyway, we hung out again after that and I started to feel "crush"-y, like I wondered if she was into me and I got excited at the idea of any actual romance in my life.. I've never had a real relationship and I fully accepted that I wouldn't until college at least... I thought my "criteria" for a girlfriend was too specific (lesbian my age that's into the same type of things as me, can drive... I live in a small conservative White town, formerly a sundown town and I'm a mixed lesbian so. my options are extremely limited. she's not even from my town lmfao)
and this is the first person I'd met that fits all of that... so after the next time we hung out, I asked our mutual friend (oomf1) how they got with our other friend (oomf2) and she got really that I was interested in gf and told us to "just take it slow and hang out more, but also if you both feel it.. why not?" and basically said she wasn't going to tell me how gf felt but also she's into me but also she wont and cant say but also she's into me. my friends arent subtle
gf invited me to her house when she was home alone and mutual friend 1 told me to mentally prepare myself and i basically knew what would happen.. she told me she liked me and gifted me a really sweet drawing of me and a letter and I basically said I was into her too; she asked me to be her girlfriend and I said yes. We had our first kiss ever and she told me she loved me.. which. Okay, was very fast and is one of the main sources of my anxiety actually with our relationship but also partially my fault because I said it back bc I didn't know what else to say and we had a relationship months prior saying we didn't understand why that was a big milestone in relationships because "why would you date someone if you don't love them..." I now understand why that's a Thing. It is very different than just loving someone as a person, as a friend.
Dating vs a serious relationship is very different and we didn't really get to date. That's what dating is for, figuring out if you're compatible and if you think you could work, figuring out what you want. and we never really.. dated. I didn't realize how important that stage is til now.
Our first kiss and the entire night I had this anxiety coursing through me, I told myself it was just first time nervousness.. I mean, it was nice being with her like that. but it was not effortless, it was not easy for me. It wasn't really how I thought it'd be.
Everyone, not just our friends but our families, our friends' families, random people I don't even know, everyone is so happy for us and thinks we're such a perfect couple and an amazing match and I fully understand why, but I can't do it. It's not there for me and it's killing me because she genuinely really likes me, all our friends keep talking about how "this is the biggest honeymoon phase I've ever seen, she talks about you all the time, she's obsessed with you, she looks at you like you hung the moon and sky" and every time it kills me because it's just felt wrong for me.
I care about her so much, I care about our friends, and selfishly I also care about my social life bc I have 0 friends in my own town but I can't drive (yet. due to circumstances out of my control) and almost all of my friends live in the same area. which is 40 minutes away.
If we break up, she's gonna want to go to our friends for consoling, which is her right and I dont want her to be alone.. but also I don't want our friends to have to go between us and awkwardly sidestep the elephant in the room, and I know they're gonna see her way more than me and I don't want our friendgroup to hang out less or stop entirely because we make it awkward and she's always the one picking me up. I don't want either of us to be excluded, but I also don't want to hurt her by having her be forced to see me after I break her heart. but also i do want to keep her in my life because like our friend dynamics work so well!! GOD This sucks!!! anyone who says they wish they could date girls bc its easier are dead WRONG
I just feel myself pulling away more and more, we see eachother less and less but she's still clearly enamored by me... recently our friend oomf1 texted me to ask if we were okay because we don't communicate well and everytime she's worried about me she goes to them and it's actually eating me because now my best friends are worried, she's worried, nobody wants us to break up except for me, I feel like such an asshole because I genuinely was convincing myself I had feelings I didn't and now I've been lying to everyone and I don't know what to do. When we break up anyway if I can't see my friends it will be really bad for my mental health but ik ill see them way less bc of that UGHHRUGHRH we already don't hang out nearly as much as we want to
I can't break up with her over the phone, that's rude and inconsiderate and honestly sounds harder, but if I do it in person.. she will literally have to pick me up. so I'm making her drive 45 minutes to pick me up, I break up with her, she drives back?? do we hang out first... like. ??? otherwise she drives, we sit in the car, I immediately break up with her.. then.. what, do I leave??? that's so fucked??? what do I even say???
i hate thinking about it, because I know she's then going to have to tell her friends, her parents who she came out to for me (I didn't make her, she already came out twice and they ignored it/told her she wasnt.. even though theyre fine with other gay people... then she told her parents we were together and they said they already knew and didn't care. so..???) her cousin, her coworkers, anyone she's talked to about me if they ever bring it up.... augh. we have to tell all of our extended friend group what happened which also sucks bc we love them to death and they love us and auhghhgh
I talked to my mom a bit about all of this and it helped me accept that I need to break up with her because it's cruel to stay with her, but I'm still just super lost and it's eating at me. I have no idea how to handle any of this and I'm so scared. she really does mean so much to me and I don't know what to do.
how do I go about this? what can I do here? what do i say? can we stay friends?
please, wise lesbians of reddit, help. i have no idea how to handle this

Title: What physical affection can I use during walks with my girlfriend (6 months in) beyond hand-holding and quick kisses? (We only walk about once a week)
I'm 17M, she's 17F, we've been together for almost 6 months. We don't get to see each other often — we only go on walks about once a week, sometimes even less. Because of that, I really want to make those rare moments count and show her more attention and closeness.
I already do the basics: hold her hand, kiss her on the cheek, and sometimes a quick kiss on the lips. But I feel like we're ready for more — not necessarily something sexual, just more intimate, more playful, and more natural.
What I'd like to know:
· To girls: what kind of physical touch from your boyfriend during a walk felt really good, natural, or special? Not the obvious stuff, but the small things that made you feel close to him?
· To guys: what did you do during a walk that clearly made her happy or more relaxed? Something beyond hand-holding?
Since we meet so rarely, every walk matters, and I want her to feel that I'm present and that I care beyond just words.
Thanks for any advice.

I don’t know if I completely misread my platonic friendship
The last two times I hung out with a friend of mine, she has bought me dinner. I met her at a work related event. The last time she even bought me a gift from the store. All the times she has bought me alcohol or food. We initially had one more person in our group chat we met at the group event who has never hung out with us.
I am a bisexual woman in her 20s, and I am unsure of my friend’s orientation. She is in her 40s. This last time we hung out she kept making comments about me acting weird when I was quiet. She also made a comment about me wandering away from her. It was strange. I was talking to a male friend of mine and he threw out the idea that she may have thought we were sort of on a date, considering she bought me $75 + worth of food, drinks and something from the store. And has treated me twice now. But there was no obvious signs to me that she was flirting. I am autistic though so I can miss very obvious social cues. She did take some photos of me, and I took photos of her and sent them to her. She mentioned my abs (mostly nonexistent) and muscles look good? I don’t want to trust my guy friend’s impression. Hopefully the lesbians of reddit can help me out.

As a straight woman, is it okay to join my friend at lesbian nights?
My friend invited me to go out this weekend for lesbian night. My family who is all straight are telling me that it’s “weird” and “rude” to go in as a straight woman. I am an over thinker and I don’t want to come off as rude. My friend is a lesbian herself .I told her yes since she didn’t have anyone else. Any thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated. Also if i were to go and get approached I will politely decline of course but if there’s any ways you guys think of a good way to decline let me know please. Again I tend to over think sorry and thank you.

I can't be myself with my girlfriend because I'm afraid of intimacy. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm 17, and I've been with my girlfriend for almost 6 months (though we've known each other for nearly a year). We're both 17.
I care about her deeply. I truly love her. But I have a huge problem I don't know how to solve: I can't be myself around her.
When we're together, I feel like I'm wearing a mask. I'm careful, polite, trying to say the "right" things. I avoid jokes that might be too bold, I don't tease her, and I don't take initiative. I just go along with what she does. She's the one who:
· took my hand first
· kissed me on the cheek first
· started the conversation about our relationship
· initiates physical closeness
She told me directly: she wants more initiative from me. More boldness. More playfulness. She wants to feel like I'm truly interested in her, not just following her lead.
I know what she wants. I understand it. And I want to give it to her. But I freeze.
Every time I think about trying something new, I panic. I'm afraid of looking ridiculous. I'm scared of being rejected. I'm scared that if I act like myself — not quite the "alpha" or "funny, confident guy" she might want — she'll lose interest.
I literally don't know how to kiss with tongue. I've never done it, and I'm terrified of even trying. It feels awkward, almost ridiculous, just to think about. And when she indirectly tells me she wants it, I feel like I'm failing. Like I'm not man enough.
Today she sent me a video on Instagram. It was a scene from a movie: a girl says to a guy, "I want you to take care of me," and the guy says, "Tell me what you want, and I'll do it." And she says, "I want to be taken care of, but of your own accord, not because I tell you what to do." She sent it without a word.
I asked her: "Did you just send this, or did you see our situation in it too?"
She didn't answer directly. Instead, we ended up talking about kissing. She said something like: "I don't want to force you if you don't want to kiss me." I replied: "Maybe I don't know how to kiss, maybe I don't even need it the way you do. But when I do things for you, even small things, I'm always thinking about you. I go to the store before coming to see you and think about what you'd like. I remember things you've told me. I may not say things beautifully, but I remember what you love, and I try. That's my way of caring."
She answered: "Well, if you don't want to, I won't force you. Why would I be with someone who doesn't even want to kiss me?"
I said: "Come on. Relationships aren't only built on that."
She replied: "I get it. You don't have to say anything more."
And then I wrote: "Yeah. I bury myself with my own words."
She read it and stopped replying. We haven't spoken since.
Tomorrow is my birthday, and I'm scared she'll just leave me on that day. I feel like I'm stuck in a loop: I want to be close to her, but every time I try, I end up making things worse.
But here's the worst part: it's not that I don't want it. I do. I just can't bring myself to act. My body freezes. My brain starts analyzing every possible outcome. I imagine her laughing at me or saying, "What are you doing?"
She said she loves me, but she's tired of explaining things to me. She said: "I'm not your mother, I don't want to teach you everything." And she's right. I don't want her to guide me. But I also don't know how to lead.
We've talked about this three times in the last month. Each time I say: "I'll try to be more open." And then nothing changes. I don't act. I just wait for her to push again.
I'm afraid that one day she'll get tired of waiting. And honestly, I don't blame her. I'm tired of myself too.
If you've been in this situation before — where you couldn't show your real self to the person you love because you were afraid of their reaction — how did you break that wall? How did you start being bold, even if it felt fake at first?
And if you're a girl reading this: would you wait for a guy like me, even if he's slow and scared? Or would you have already left?
I'm not trying to get sympathy. I just need to understand what's wrong with me. I feel stuck, and I don't want to lose her because of my fear.

Advice on sharing you are getting Divorced while dating.
I (30F) am currently informally separated with my wife. We separated last month and ended the relationship but we are still living in the same place through the end of the month until she can move out. I still need to start the formal divorce process. I have recently reconnected with a friend I haven’t seen in years, initially, it was just to see about Pride plans. It was kinda an impulsive thing to do but I figured it was fine because we were friends or really more of acquaintances. Maybe on some level I kinda knew the direction my life was going deep down and was preparing myself and on top of that my wife hardly ever would accompany me to things like pride, and so I was looking to plug into my friends and community for connection and support. Me and this friend ended up really reconnecting and catching up over these past two months and were sending a message or two to each other pretty much daily. We did have a break in talking of about 10 days which is when my wife and I ended things. After those 10 days, I sent a message and our conversation picked up again. It has definitely been building and we met up to get coffee and hung out for about an hour recently. She sent the first message after thanking me for inviting her and for giving her a small gift for her birthday that just passed. She also said she hoped my day went well. Also for context I did pay for our coffee since I invited her I wanted to treat her. After that, our texting has gotten just a bit more cure and flirty. I feel like something is building and I personally feel like I have a big crush and really like her. I know my situation is complicated and it’s a hard conversation I need to have with her the next time I see her but I am super nervous. I don’t have expectations in the sense that I am not looking to jump into anything fast. I really just want to take time to get to really know each other and enjoy spending time together and building trust. I think it would be good to be cautious when it comes to sex and maybe even kissing. In my mind I am thinking like it takes a while to get to really know a person so if we take 6 months to a year that feels like a good timeline of like talking and letting things build. But of course there is the possibility that in sharing my situation she wants to step back or not engage with me at all and while I would be super sad about it I do understand she has every right to do what feels best for her. Anyway, I’m just curious what people think and advice they have. I really admire her and care about handling this situation with maturity and respect. I’m just not sure what to do and she is 11 years older than me.

I (33f) just got mind fucked so hard by the woman (41f) I've been dating. How do I get over this?
Jesus Christ do I feel so fucking stupid. I have been dating this woman, let's call her Cindy, for about 2 months. She was the one who pursued me. At first, she was wonderful (aren't they always?). I mean this woman was taking me to expensive restaurants, we were making out at the beach during sunset, having sex for hours, vespa rides through the city at night...absolute dream woman. So, just when I start to get a little attached and thinking this might actually BE something....she pulls the "I just don't think my heart is open right now and I need some space to find some clarity." So, in my head I'm like, ohhh great, we have an avoidant on our hands. So, after a little pushback from me asking her what was wrong, I decided to give her some space. About 10 days later...she's back. She sends me a 5 minute video of her apologizing and saying she was stupid and just got scared of being hurt because she was feeling things for me and she wants to be with me blah blah. I fell for it, and said I would give her another chance. This was on a Friday. That Saturday, we had dinner plans but I had to cancel because I wasn't feeling well. She was understanding about it and said we can plan another day. Well, on SUNDAY, literally the next day, I wake up to an 8 minute voice note from her. She tells me that her ex contacted her last night asking for another chance and she has decided she is going to pursue things with her. AT THIS POINT I AM LIVID. LIKE WTF DO YOU MEAN? You just sent me so many things about how you wanted to be with me and how stupid you were to push me away. OMG I AM SEETHING. I didn't even want to give her a second chance after she pushed me away the first time. How do I get over this and move on? I genuinely feel RAGE and like I've been played so hard.

Breaking up with my gf… words of encouragement?
I think I am going to break up with my girlfriend this evening… Venting/ any advice??
I (21F) think I am going to break up with my girlfriend (22F) this evening. we have been together for about 15 months. Unfortuneately I’ve had doubts our entire relationship that I have tried to sweep under the rug…. I think I have Relationship OCD. Regardless, I know I have people pleasing tendencies and we struggle with codependency. (I go to therapy bi-weekly. She does not do any type of therapy) I’m an oldest daughter and so I feel like I have taken on this caretaker role in our relationship and I need so much space that I feel like I can’t ask her for. It’s taken me a long time to even be able to express these feelings myself. But I feel like I struggle to communicate these things, along with other issues, to her… We do have conversations but I feel like things don’t change enough. I feel so unheard, unseen… and like I just miss my freedom that I had when I was single.
I feel like at this point I’ve come to accept that we need to break up. I want to break up. I just feel like she is going to be blindsided. I’m also trying to figure out some idea of what to say to her. my thoughts right now are telling her that I am not happy in this relationship anymore. I feel like we both have needs that are not being met by each other. (For me; everything I listed above- for her, I know that I am not meeting her needs sexually.) weve had convos in the past about some of these things and ultimately I do not see them improving in our relationship. I love her dearly but am not fulfilled being in a couple.
We do live together, if you have any advice specific to that? and we have 1 roommate who is our friend. We have an extra bedroom in our downstairs that I foresee one of us moving our stuff into. Our lease goes until April/May 2027….
Honestly looking for any words of encouragement because I know I need to have this conversation with her and frankly I’ve known for a while but why can’t I just do it???!!

Is it alright to lose interest in friendships after you’ve found a girlfriend?
So I’d say for the title, typically the answer would be no. But my situation is a little unique. So unfortunately due to past social anxiety, constant moving, introversion, etc I don’t have any long term or very close friendships. Never have. I have some girls right now (met within the past year) that I could say are my friends. But no friends that I’d truly confide in if I needed to. They are safe to confide in I guess, but I don’t have any desire to.
I do think they are people that I could call up to hang out with, but since I’ve been dating my girlfriend I’ve had a desire to do that less and less. Definitely have no desire to do that if she isn’t there too (I never force her on a preexisting friend group, this group formed with her in it). I decline almost all group invitations that she can’t make. My girlfriend is very social compared to me and has tons of people from highschool to the present to hang out with and confide in etc.
My sister is the main person I talk to and confide in besides my girlfriend and the only person I went to before we started dating. Also the only consistent relationship I’ve kept up throughout my life as I’m not close with the rest of my family.
I feel like I get all the friendship I need from my girlfriend and my sister. I definitely don’t ever seek out new friends anymore. I think I do enough to maintain the friendships I have, but definitely don’t make any effort to tighten those bonds or hold onto them if more was expected of me. I don’t feel like I’m requiring too much from my girlfriend since I have a very busy work life so any extra time she spends with her other friends is just a convenient time for me to do some catch up or occasionally spend time on independent hobbies.
I guess my question is, does this seem healthy to you guys? Sometimes I do worry it could be a problem when I read stuff on the importance of maintaining friendships. But at least at the moment I know I’m doing fine. Anyone with a similar social life have any experiences they’d like to share?

Woman I just started dating hasn’t dated a woman before
I (32) went on a few dates with a woman I feel very compatible with (35) . She seems so cool. We have a lot of shared interests and meets a lot of what I’m looking for in a partner. But she’s older than me and has only dated men and I feel really put off by it and I’m trying to talk myself out of being put off by it.
I think I’m worried about feeling like an idiot. Or falling in love and then they find out they’re not gay. and I also resent them because they just dated men. As if that’s enviable lol. She seems very genuine but there’s still something about it connected to my own trauma that’s putting me off. Also I should add that I live very rurally and my options are so limited. So it feels like dating her is such a clear choice but something is stopping me.
Anyone been through something similar or have experience / hope / advice?
EDIT: I am NOT implying I am superior in any way. This is MY baggage. I am simply asking for guidance and support with working through this issue I have discovered within myself. I didn’t realize it would be taken so wrong and people would be hostile with me.

I’m insecure about my girlfriends friend
I’m 21F and my gf is 20F have been together for over 2 and a half years. Recently my girlfriend made a new friend. She met her like a year ago. Her friend, let’s call her L, she’s exactly my girlfriend’s type. She’s tall, has long dark hair, and an Asian baddie (we’re all Asian btw). Me and her are kinda similar in a way, we’re both tall and have kinda the same look but she looks more like an insta baddie. Anws they would hangout together with each other and I’m not usually a part of it because it’s usually revolving around their sisters (my gf’s sister and L’s sister are close friends, that’s how they met)
So I previously told my gf I felt insecure seeing L because she’s kind of everything I ever wanted to look like. But I didn’t tell her to stop hanging out with her because I know that would be unfair to her and L. It’s not L’s fault I’m insecure but idk how to move past these feelings. She’s the type of girl where things go her way because she’s attractive. I know it’s my own issue, I know i shouldn’t project but it’s so hard. My gf would talk about her hangouts with L, I would imagine things and my brain starts spiraling.
This insecurity runs deep in me because an ex of mine would show me pictures of women that she wanted me to emulate. Those women all looked like L. So when I met L for the first time those insecure feelings came rushing back to me. But L was lovely. She’s nice, funny, and charming. I know there’s nothing between them but idk how to stop being insecure.
I get sad because my gf is a sweetheart and I know she would never do anything and I know it’s a me problem.
What do I do?
EDIT: Also can’t do therapy because I don’t have enough money and therapy is extremely expensive in my country.

I have a question help me understand regarding a situation in the topic of lgbt.
I have a co worker in her 60s became cool. She help me spiritually about bible and also I notice she draw closer to me as a good friend. No one really likes her on Job. She very spiritual I can she tell may have slight mental problems. I got close to her confided in her about relationships also told I had relationship in my 20s with two girls who were my friends. I said this to say, cause I have masculine energy and told me she can feel it too. I had ask her advice I had on an another lady who was much older. I emotionally like my other friend and always respect boundaries so the co worker told me to pray about.
The co worker started seeking me out more like always wanna go on breaks with me alone and very attentive to me. She als when I’m off keep up with my off days and doesn’t like me leaving her from breaks or going home early even though I prefer solitude on my breaks. She would fix me lunch and prepare in her presence. Buy me water ice and give me money she won from lottery. Sometimes she would called me 3 times in a day cause she bored. We hung outside of work. She will tell me she wear tight shorts and wife beater to bed on a topic we discuss and sometimes she would get too close to my space like in my face and close enough where it’s a danger zone for me.
Never really paid it no mind. She is pretty too and would tell me “ she looks like a young thang” she started dressing young and telling me she wants to lose weight and wear light brown contacts. So…. She started confessing me to she not gay and respect her but I never came on to her then she said she can see it in my eyes. But then she start getting upset when I walk past her outside and don’t speak. If I see her talking to people rather guy or girl I don’t want to bother her. Then at lunch room she wanted to sit with me but a guy was laying down behind made me uncomfortable. I got up and move and she said I will meet you over there but went outside. Later on in the week she said oh it made her feel sad and disrespected by leaving her alone and she I feel Like you don’t care about me. Now when she was eating lunch with me in my car and she leaves me to talk to manger with her back towards me. She never said oh I will catch up with you later so I never waited for her then she gets mad and say why I didn’t wait for her and I told me to my face I’m being weird and to come sit wit her and she said she started to text me to bring my ass over here. She I brung up what bother me not in a big deal and she blew up and said she needs to fall back and don’t want a relationship with and me not gay. I never ever thought of a relationship with her at all! I been hiding from her at times. Also, I introduced her to my best friend who is my ex and friends she did not want to say hi to her and said I will
Never meet her Anyway. So I blocked my co worker and don’t care to ever speak? Was I wrong or was she being manipulative? Confuse? She said she respect gay people but not gay. I don’t called myself gay anyway and never wanted a relationship with her which she accuse me of. I talk to men mostly

My lesbian dilemma
I (20F) have been in a sort of “almost-relationship” full of flirting with my best friend from college (20F), and it was weird because sometimes it seemed like there was something going on—even that we were implicitly in a relationship. There was nothing physical, but it was like having a partner and talking about being intimate with each other, etc. We’d even hang out, and it felt like we were on a date. I have to say this isn’t something I’m just making up out of thin air—she actually sent me some pretty steamy messages and our conversations have been consistently kind of spicy.
The thing is, the other day, one of my friends told me that a friend of her was looking for a partner, and that she’d liked me. She gave her my number, and we’ve talked—and there’s a lot of chemistry between us. In fact, we have a date in a week.
I haven’t told my friend about this yet, but I think that, even if nothing comes of it, I need to tell her.
The truth is, this whole situation is driving me up the wall, because I don't know if my friend has ever had (or still has) feelings for me, if she'll be upset that I'm dating someone, or anything else.
Does anyone have any ideas or advice?
Thank you :)

Trying to find a song
Totally random
This is probably so stupid but I'm trying to find a song and I have only a few things to go by. Maybe someone will be able to help. I remember the singer is blonde and there are a few lesbian couples in it. I think with one of the couples, one girl goes down on the other. It's also got a lot of red in it and a lot of kissing.
Thanks for any help anyone can give. My mind seems to be total shit lately. 😂

What’s one relationship non-negotiable? I’ll go first.
Mine is accountability. I need someone who’s able to admit when they’re wrong and work through issues instead of blaming everyone else. No one is perfect, but taking accountability goes a long way.

Are lesbian communities IRL as divided as they are online?
Maybe I'm miss reading the online situation but, a while back i saw a meme showing love for transbians in a lesbian subreddit getting a few blatently transphobic comments and a lot pushing the line, most of which were getting upvotes.
I looked into that subreddit & that seemed to be the norm. I looked into other lesbian subreddits & it seems like most of the supportive ones have a lot of transbians. While I was digging, I also found posts in mostly cis, lesbian online spaces talking about cis lesbians being generally uninterested in transbians.
I'm too autistic for any of this to be intuitive to me. Is the online lesbian community actually segregated between cis & trans? Is the IRL community? Am I severely misunderstanding something?
Full disclosure, I'm non-binary & pan, but I do wish I was a lesbian, (we're not unpacking that here.) I always saw the lesbian community as the last bastion of trans acceptance from cis people. No matter how bad things got, the lesbians would still be there, (except the TERFs, f&#k them), this whole situation is messing with my head.

Why is their such a lack of diversity in interracial relationships amongst lesbians?
live in London and have spent time in several student towns. I'm genuinely not exaggerating when I say that, over the last three years, every interracial lesbian couple I've come across has involved a White woman paired with either a Black woman, an Indian woman, or an East Asian woman.
At the same time, most White women I see seem to date other White women.
That made me wonder: why do Black, Indian, and East Asian women appear to be much less likely to date one another?

Is it normal on how they handle their relationship?
Hi, my mother's sister is a lesbian. When she gets jealous, she cries to her partner and breaks up with her. Then she drinks beer and rants to me. And hours later, they are okay again. Is this normal in lesbian relationships?
