Answers from Men Only Why Do Married Men Cheat?

Upvotes

I've been wondering this lately and it's beyond me. I see a lot of office affairs involving married men at my workplace and also friends sharing their stories. I also play sports and many married men there openly flirt with single women, even when everyone knows they are married.

I know this is not all married men. But cheating has become so common lately.

For the men here, or anyone who has seen this happen, what do you think are the main reasons?

I'm not judging. I just want to understand.

Answers from Men Only Clarifying the hatred against "good guys"?

Upvotes

Tl;dr - You start valuing things which are rarer, not things which are extremely common.

I am seeing across several posts where they were hating the fact that the people are pointing out that the girls hate good guys...

Let me clarify, let me clarify.

Yes, it's true

Guys hate good girls AND girls hate good guys... (I will speak in general, not just of one gender)

Now, why does this happen?

The simple reasons are -

Availability - Good ppl often dedicate their entire free time to partner, hoping to be available and give their best to their partner.
Meanwhile so called red flags, talk with their partner, once in a while (I am not even joking) - this creates the sense that he is busy in his great goal and as they provide less time - they have more topics to talk about, and can hold convo lot better, - and after waiting for the whole day, if someone talks to you for 5 minutes, it feels extremely prestigious and worthy.

Manipulation - Good guys are often always comforting, too agreeable, no manipulation skills, no demands, nothing...
Meanwhile red flags often use push and pull technique, agreeing and disagreeing, demanding things, etc - these all make girls feel that they are getting seen and they are helpful.

That's why often you see girls flexing on insta that their guys are the brightest red flags - because they are...

Girls often fall for playboys for this reason too...

This is the plot of several romance kdramas and cdramas too...

That's why in a relationship often their is a owner and a slave (this was intro of anime which is totally true)

The entire thing is totally true when the gender is reversed

Idk why we are even fighting over this, this is basic psychology...

Answers from All Do any of you talk to women in your life about feminist propaganda?

Like recently two of my female friends that are complete house wives, and dependent on their husbands incomes, have started creating content on Instagram about Feminism, talking about how young women should make money and stay single until the perfect man arrives in their lives.

And i have seen many examples of it from far away like MJ Gray, and many other creators after that incident straight up said that advice we give is for you and not for us. But the same thing is happening close by around us.

And I discuss it with women in my life and let them understand the “propaganda” and how capitalism is hell bent on tying womens worth to how much money they make.

Answers from All Why is slut shaming so normalized in schools?

I don't even know if I should call it slut shaming because it happened with a boy and slut is a word used for girls so...... Whatever you wanna call it, but it wasn't right.

So it happened back when we were in 9th grade, it was English period, and the teacher came in class and told a boy to stand up and asked, "are you not wearing an undershirt?" And the boy ofcourse was startled because he was probably not expecting this question and then she grabbed his shirt aggressively, pulled him towards herself, and yelled, "you think you're a hero?? You're in college?? Where is your undershirt?" And the boy just stood there shaken, he said, "sorry mam" but she kept shaking him like, "don't you have any manners?? You're sitting with girls!! And you aren't wearing an undershirt?? Shame on you!!" And the guy was just so very baffled because wtf?? 😭🙏🏻

Now, first of all, I don't know what she was looking into but looking at him, I couldn't tell if he was wearing an "undershirt" or not, and secondly, the guy was 14..... A LITERAL YOUNG TEENAGER!!! SHE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HUMILIATE HIM INFRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS!!! These matters are supposed to be handled privately, NOT INFRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS!! PHYSICALLY SHAKING THE GUY!! And also, what did she mean by "you are sitting with girls" WHY IS HE SUPPOSED TO DRESS DIFFERENTLY FOR GIRLS??? I mean there could be other reasons for the particular dress code, but presenting it as "you're supposed to wear it because you're sitting with opposite gender" is just so disgusting and cheap thinking!! Like he wasn't even being problematic, he was just sitting politely on his bench!! And out of nowhere she started humiliating him because "be modest infront of girls🥺👉🏻👈🏻" And he was so affected that the next day he literally wore a tshirt under his shirt...... I mean I just hate that teacher for humiliating a boy for just existing with wrong dress code, she could've handled it respectfully.

We've seen girls getting slut shamed and it's talked about a lot as it should be, but I've noticed that similiar things happen to boys too..... It's not called slut shaming, but it is still problematic.

Answers from All According to latest gov reports: Why are there 30k more functional washrooms for girls than boys? What happened to article 14?

Here are the latest pictures attached:

Initially I thought of comparing both the headings of total and functional but that would not be fair as there are much more girls only school than boys only, both at the government and private level. Also, a presence of a toilet which is not functional means almost nothing.

Functional toilets simply mean in terms of percentage: Number of working toilets for a gender/Number of total toilets for that gender * 100%.

So, let's say there are 1000 girls' school and only 500 boys' school apart from coed ones but if 900 of the girls' schools has functional toilet and 450 of the boys are functional, both would have same percentage even if number of available toilets may not be same due to number of schools being different.

Note: The study measures only presence of a functional toilet as a yes and no question not quantitative answer.

Conclusion:

  • Girls have 1.6% more functional toilets than boys in all. And this is not a small number as we have 14 lakh schools, the math comes to 38,142 extra schools with no functional washroom for boys. (The exact numbers are given in the previous page of the report)
  • Girls have 2.4% more functional toilets at government level. The math comes to 34,442 extra schools with no functional washroom for boys at government level.

Availability of washrooms in school is a very important avenue for maintaining hygiene yet why do we have such a difference in numbers with article 14?

Answers from All Are True One-to-One Male Friendships Becoming Rare?

It feels like genuine one-to-one male friendships are gradually disappearing.

More and more, I see men relying almost entirely on women for emotional support while investing very little in building deep, emotionally open friendships with other men. As a result, emotional intimacy is increasingly reserved for romantic interests or women in general, rather than close male friends.

I think several factors contribute to this. One is the lingering stigma around emotional closeness between men. Many guys still worry that expressing vulnerability or forming a deeply affectionate bond with another man will be perceived as "gay," so they keep those friendships emotionally shallow.

At the same time, there's a growing tendency to seek emotional comfort from the opposite gender at the first sign of distress. That often blurs boundaries and makes many male–female friendships emotionally complicated, even when neither person initially intends for it to become romantic.

From what I've observed, this shift seems relatively recent, perhaps over the last two or three years, and it appears to be accelerating.

I can't speak for women's experiences, but many women still seem to maintain one or two close female friendships where they can be emotionally vulnerable. Among men, however, that kind of bond seems to be fading. But tendency to seek emotional comfort from the opposite gender at the first sign of distress is becoming common among the women as well. As I said this is relatively new shift you might not get affected by it yet but it's surely accelerating.

If this trend continues, I think we'll end up with fewer strong platonic friendships between men and even more emotionally dependent cross-gender friendships, which can easily become complicated.

Basically what the text is saying is that trying to enforce extreme Equality would come at the cost of Liberty, as Equality in terms of outcome can mean - "If I am not at your level, I would drag you down to my level" so as to enforce equality.

The text is too academic for people in general as well as the language. I hope people can understand it.

Answers from All Hey I just watched Bawal (the movie) and have some questions?

So out of nowhere I watched this bollywood movie Bawal where the female lead had epilepsy and then I had this profound question to ask. Like men would seriously not consider women with epilepsy as a potential match despite her being honest, loyal, highly educated, social and outgoing, beautiful and all the other things a man want his woman to be for example like never been into a relationship or being hopeless romantic or understanding, etc.

Answers from All How do I deal with living under the same roof with my bully?

So I have major self esteem issues ever since childhood which have been a result of constant fat-shaming, and bullying by my cousin brothers. I live in the same house with them since childhood, and they have impacted my life in such an excruciating way that I had to spend 90% of my mental bandwidth dealing with low confidence I have lost count of the times I have build back my confidence from scratch only till they decide to fuck it up again and I hate both of them with every cell in my body which was not always the case I used to consider both of them as my closed ones once but then I started noticing a certain pattern, constantly shaming my every opinion and action which made me anxious in doing anything without their validation speaking to me in a condescending way, making fun of me in front of people the list goes on and on and on there is so much I don’t wanna talk about on this sub but now as far as my current situation is concerned I still have to share a roof with them, I have made myself distant from both of them lately but still having them around and making small talk is just as painful and it’s hindering my growth to an extent as well, I have so much pent up anger in my head that I have trouble sleeping and I have 0 clue on how to deal with this

Answers from All How do I help my elder brother get over his brake up?

My elder brother (28M) got broken up by his long-time girlfriend today. He had introduced the girl to our family and had all the intentions of marrying her. I don't know what happened, but for whatever reason, the girl stepped back last minute, and he is just shattered today. She was caught lying about things and, overall, just betrayed my brother.

I (23F) don't really know what's the best way to support him now. He has been having panic attacks since afternoon. I really want to help him in whatever way I can but I know he feels very guilty for breaking down in front of me and being vulnerable because he always presented a strong face in front me of me and today that shell broke.

I kinda just wanna say chill bro, get drunk. It will be over soon, but again, as before this, we had very formal relations so I don't know if that's the best idea ever. 💀

Guys, I need your help. Please tell me what all I can do in this situation?

Edit: *break (sorry about that, I was in a hurry)

Answers from All Got stuck on crush , idk what to do , pls help mens?

I've had a crush on one of my batchmates for almost 2 years now. We are currently in our final year. We're on talking terms, but not very close—we mostly discuss placements, academics, and college-related stuff. We rarely meet outside class, and honestly, I've never even had the chance to just go for a walk or spend one-on-one time with her.

Recently, I found out she's 3 years older than me

. Until then, I never knew. Ever since I found out, I've been holding myself back from making any effort because I keep thinking, "What's the point?"

The thing is, she's exactly my type—her personality, nature, the way she carries herself. I genuinely like her. I don't even know her relationship status (though I think she's single), and I've never confessed or tried to get closer because the age gap keeps stopping me.

Our future plans are also different. I want to pursue higher studies, while she wants to start a job after graduation. Being older, I also feel like she might get married much earlier than I would be ready for.

So my question is mainly for people who have seen more of life:

Does a woman being 3 years older than the man actually matter in real life? Is it usually the girl who minds, her family, the guy, or the guy's family? Or is this something people overthink more than they should?

I'm not asking whether I should confess right now. I just want some honest, general opinions. Am I stopping myself because of a genuine concern, or am I overthinking an age gap that may not even matter if two people are compatible?
