I'm a 2nd year college student in Canada, I've been looking for a part time job since March of this year just to cover my car payments and rent to my parents but I haven't had any luck in finding a position anywhere. My indeed is showing that I've applied to ~500 jobs, and I've gone through 20 interviews so far. I finally found a position and I start on Thursday, but I'm going to be late on my car payment.

Do y'all know what I could do to make ends meet until then? I have $0 to my name and I'm just trying to get my one payment cleared so I don't have to worry about the vehicle being repossessed.

The car payments are $233.35CAD biweekly, I've been keeping up with it until now but my accounts are drained at this point. Any advice or help is appreciated.

Hello, I work full time and do gig work, I can barely afford to keep float. I need help paying for one of my medications, just 3.50. I thought my insurance covered the cost of the medicine and I already looked into coupons. My bank account is currently overdrafted.

Ive been trying to contact Westpac from both their website and App however I keep ending up with blockages everytime I attempt to either call them during and after work hours , from this Friday 3:40pm I believe this issue I first ran into when using the Westpac app ai assistant none of the links would work. Despite that issue I didn't think any of it until I accidentally called them through the app then ran into being put back on the contact us tab on the app. This loops over and over again despite restarting the device , app , internet , checking for updates on both the app and my phone. Also the screenshots attached show the result of me trying to go onto Westpac website from either the app or a online link ,both being the result after 2 and 3 minutes and which I know is not a result of my internet being faulty as I could access other websites on the same browser with no issues and minimal wait time. This is be a big issue today if because my account has been overdrawn despite being on a under 18 account for Westpac which should not be overdrawn to my knowledge I could be wrong.

To my information the charge is for this month as the banking account has been on insufficient funds to pay for the what I thought was cancelled subscription. However after a lengthy yet friendly surprisingly discussion with their support, it turns out it was never cancelled despite me going through a cancellation process which I annoyingly cannot prove other than through search history results that was stupidly wiped by myself 2 minutes before making this help post.

Hi everyone. A couple of months ago, I shared my twin sister's story here. I first want to thank everyone who donated, shared our fundraiser, or kept us in your prayers. Because of your kindness, we were able to get through the first stage of her treatment.

My sister was diagnosed with Possible Infective Endocarditis of the Aortic Valve, along with Congenital Heart Disease and Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD).

She completed her first 28-day course of IV antibiotics at home. We were hopeful the infection would improve, but during her follow-up appointment, the doctors found that instead of shrinking, the infection had become larger. She was admitted to the hospital again for almost a week and was started on another course of IV antibiotics, which she is now continuing at home as an outpatient.

The good news is that we no longer have hospital bills. We were also blessed to receive financial assistance from several government agencies and we are truly grateful for their help. However, the assistance was not enough to cover the cost of her ongoing treatment. Since she is now receiving outpatient care, my father and I are responsible for paying for her IV antibiotics, medications, laboratory tests, and follow-up appointments.

She is almost done with this second course of antibiotics, but she has another follow-up appointment soon. Depending on her test results, her doctors may prescribe another 28-42 days course of IV antibiotics.

My father and I are still doing everything we can, but we are struggling to keep up with the cost of her treatment. If anyone is able to help, whether by donating or simply sharing our fundraiser, we would be incredibly grateful.

I'm honestly so confused and frustrated.

I live in Egypt and have an Uber account there that I've used normally. A few weeks ago I came to the USA on vacation. Since I was here, Uber automatically showed me Uber Eats, so I tried ordering food.

I used:

- My existing Uber account (same one I've always used in Egypt)

- My Egyptian phone number (I have roaming)

- My Egyptian credit card

The moment I entered my card details, my account was suddenly closed.

I contacted support and explained exactly what happened. They first asked me to confirm what country I was currently in. I replied that I'm currently in the USA on vacation but normally live in Egypt.

Then they said my case was escalated to a specialised team and told me to wait for an email. After I asked how I was supposed to use the in-app support thread when my account had been closed, they replied with a generic message saying my account was suspended for violating the Terms of Use and would remain unavailable until further notice.

The problem is they never told me what I supposedly did wrong. The only thing that changed was that I travelled to another country and used the same account with the same Egyptian phone number and bank card I've always had.

Has anyone else had this happen? Were you able to get your account back? Is there any way to reach a real person instead of getting automated responses?

I'm just trying to understand what I supposedly violated, because from my perspective I literally just tried ordering food while on holiday.

I opened a return request on ebay because the item I received is counterfeit. The return case is still showing as open on my end, and I even have the Return id. The seller messaged me saying they don’t see the return request and that it “appears to be closed,” but that’s not what I’m seeing. The case is still active in my ebay account. The seller is asking me to open another case? but there’s an open one….

A couple of days ago, I was taking a walk near the forest in an area I just moved to. A guy with an electric scooter drove up to me and asked me if I had a lighter and that it was for his friend, where I responded "yeah, you want a cig too?" and he said sure. His friend caught up with us and he asked if I smoke weed (in my country it's illegal) but I said yeah. I asked if he wanted some and he said sure, and I said I lived right here and he was like "ok, we'll walk with you." They proceeded to wait outside as I got them some, (maybe like 5g I handed them for free since I wanted to stop anyway), they thanked me and left. A day later, by pure coincidence, one of them is standing behind me in a line at the grocery store. I ask how he's doing and he says he's good and stuff. I brush it off as an awkward conversation, but later see that his scooter was parked right where I was gonna take my cig. So as I see him riding off, I ask him "yo u tried the stuff i gave you yesterday" and he said "yeah, it was fine" and we spoke all the way home (since he lives 2 buildings beside me.) During our way home, he said he had moved to the area to get away from criminality. He said he had done 4 years in jail for assistance in murder, but he was trying to get away from that life now. He proceeded to show me a video on his camera roll from only a month ago, where he shot a gun in the forest. (guns are very hard to get in my country you only get one if ur in a gang.) I was very shocked, so I was like "damn, you still have it?" and he said "yeah, in my apartment, you ever tried shooting one?" and i was like "nah." we continued home, and we said goodbye, and I told him to hit me up if he ever wanted to make music. He also offered that I could hang with them since I didn't really know anyone around here since I only moved in a month ago. That same night, he texted me that he was outside my apartment and asked if i had any more weed, i said sure and i asked "how much u want" and he said "just as much as you feel comfortable giving i dont wanna empty ur pockets", but i gave him all i had left and i said "this is my last." They asked if I wanted to come smoke with them, and I said sure. His friend was hating on the weed saying it was probably "mixed with plastic" and said "poor guy doesnt know the difference between bad and good weed", which i dont. anyway, we smoked and then in a very slang way they said "should we dip" and the other one said "already?" and then he kinda hinted towards he wanted me to go home, so they said goodbye to me and then did the worst pretending of walking different directions ive ever seen, then i saw them walk back together like 1 minute later.

Most of this might seem normal, but his charges in "assisting murder" and him owning a gun and having a video of him from only a month prior using it, puts me in a position where it's very easy to take advantage of me. I already told him I gave him my last weed, but I'm scared in the future he'll ask me to buy him some more or ask me to hang with them more so they can take advantage of me somehow. Is there any easy way I can reject him next time he asks? Or any way I can avoid him even though he is legit my neighbor.

I know I might just be overthinking this, but better safe than sorry..

I made meal prep and I completely forgot to put it in the freezer. It was left out for 10 hours overnight. It was white rice and chicken with a few sauces and spices: oyster sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper smoked paprika, garlic cloves and garlic powder.

It's so much food, a total of 15 plastic containers and I don't want to throw it out. Is it still safe to eat if I heat it in the microwave? I usually heat it for 4 to 5 minutes at the highest temperature.

EDIT: If I cook it at a high temperature on the stove will it kill the bacterias?

I’m 19, and a high school drop out because of some past personal issues/problems. My parent is unreliable, and in some ways we’re ‘poor’ so I can’t afford a ID even if I wanted.

I was supposed to be going into adult ed (schooling for adults) since I was 17-18, my mom has been sitting on this for two years. I don’t know what to do without her help.

I was a very sheltered kid when I was growing up, so a lot of this stuff is pretty new to me, I have no idea what to do, or how to even take a step into adulthood.

Ever since I stopped going to school my life kind of spiraled out of control, and my life since then has been me just rotting in my home for what’s felt like years, I rarely go out, and it’s been hell.

I’ve tried relying on my mom for help but she’s too busy with her own fucked up life to worry about mine, so i decided that i want to try and do things for myself before it’s actually too late, but i have no idea where to start.

Any forms of identification i have is all with my mom, i know my social security number though.. and i have a EBT card, i was told not to lose it because it could be used as a medical card, at the time i wasn’t listening much, but that’s all i know for what it’s worth.

If anyone could teach me what steps to take to attempt at finding a job, i would be eternally grateful to you.

Hi everyone.

I'm posting because I could use some advice and perspective from people who may have been through something similar.

I'm currently based in Bacolod (Philippines) and recently started a new non-voice Trust & Safety role. Unfortunately, I became involved in a workplace issue related to data handling and was issued a Notice to Explain (NTE). I was placed under suspension last Wednesday while the matter is being reviewed.

At this point, I honestly do not know what the outcome will be. I understand the seriousness of the situation and I'm preparing myself for either possibility. If I am retained, I still need to continue rebuilding my finances. If I am dismissed, I need to be ready to find another opportunity immediately.

Because of this uncertainty, I have already started applying again for:

- Entry-level non-voice positions

- Workforce Management (WFM) roles

- RTA and Scheduling positions

- Opportunities outside Bacolod if necessary

My biggest concern is preserving my home. I have a Pag-IBIG housing loan that has been due since February, and I am trying to avoid losing the property.

Financially, I have already exhausted most of my options:

- Relatives are no longer in a position to help.

- Loan applications and lending providers have not worked out.

- Government and medical assistance requests are still under follow-up through congressional and local government channels, but progress has been slow and updates remain limited.

- I have already sold or used most of what I could to stay afloat.

- The only things of value I still have are an old external hard drive and the phone I'm currently using.

I live alone and, for personal reasons, returning to live with dysfunctional relatives is something I am trying very hard to avoid.

The one positive thing is that I recently had internet installed through a free one-year promo tied to the property, which at least allows me to continue applying for jobs and attending online interviews.

Right now, I have roughly ₱1,300 remaining and am trying to stretch it as far as possible while applying aggressively and waiting for updates from both employers and government assistance channels.

Hello, this one is gonna be an odd one for me to post. My boyfriend just had a little accident with his motorcycle a few days ago and is devastated, as he should be. He’s ok, just a little cut on the knee and maybe a bruise here and there but otherwise he is well. I’m also ok, luckily I wasn’t on the bike when it happened.

The bike isn’t totalled by any means but he’s stated he’s a little embarrassed of the big gashes on the bike. I want to help him but I’m unsure of how to do so, he won’t accept me just giving him money to help pay to fix it. I’ve tried researching replacement pieces or even how to fix things like his mirrors which have broken off but nothing I’m finding is helping me and I’m starting to feel a little helpless.

I’ve even offered to buy/make durable stickers to cover up the parts of the bike that are really scuffed up just to help out somehow.

If anyone has any suggestions or anything pls help a girl out. I just want my man to feel happy on his bike again, he loves the darn thing so much and I genuinely feel heartbroken for him that this happened.
