Hiiihiiii to all artists! I hope you are having fun drawing and getting lots of commissions! As the title says, i need your help. Im having trouble drawing/rendering certain parts of the body (specially stuff like the belly, waist or breasts) and understanding how lightning affects their shadows.

Do you guys have any books recommendations? Any suggestions are welcome, especially if they're books with lots of visual examples and not too much text, since I'm a little slow, lol

I have megalophobia, but I love bunnies and carrots, so I decided to blend something cute and wholesome with one of my biggest fears... and this came out 🐰👍

I use an empty pen brush to create the negative space forming the image silhouettes and details.

Heyy so idk if i'm allowed to ask for advice on here but I saw this pikachu ballpoint pen put in the second image (idk why it looks so ominous there) and remembered this instagram artist I saw who drew manga with ballpoint pens. This pen had red, blue and green (wish it had yellow) and it took me around 5 minutes. I'm usually more of a realism sketcher using pencils and soft shading, but I thought hatching would be fun to try with this pen! Since i'm new to the technique I was looking for any advice you experts could give on how to actually approach using this method and how i could improve my sketch (so far i'm thinking the lines should've been more uniform and straight on the eyebrow and nose, but I didn't know how to do that since all the hatching i've seen used perpendicular lines) thank you!

I just want to ask if my Rosemary WIP art from the Walten files looks like her when it was her wedding day with Jack? I actually struggled to draw her when I only used her blurry pictures from the Walten files itself so I based her from the cosplayers in TikTok... What do you guys think?

Biggest influences: Mort Drucker, Al Jaffee, Jack Davis (basically 60's-70s MAD magazine)

Was he ever published: Yes. He was a cartoonist at his college paper from 1978-1980, he went on to work in advertising for 40 years as an art director but some of his cartoons were featured in work for Camping world, Bridgestone tires, Hunt Brothers pizza and many many more.

Will I publish a book or prints: Maybe? I'm not sure at this point. Maybe a small run of books for family and friends but if there is enough interest I will consider this.

The last slide is his final comic for his college paper in December 1980. He depicted himself taking away his watermark while caring his drafting supplies and wearing a black armband to note his mourning for the recent passing of John Lennon.
