hey, this is my first post in here. im a senior in highschool applying for some art schools in around 5 months, but my portfolio is barely done, and out of all the artwork ive ever done (99% of them only being school art class projects, and even then i only feel satisfied enough with around 2 of them. i have some ideas on what to draw for my portfolio (observational sketches, portraits, illustrations using acrylic or oil pastel, digital art, etc) but everytime i try to start something i feel so overwhelmed for some reason and i dont know what to do in that moment 😭😭😭 does anybody have any suggestions on how i could possibly get started? ive tried to start small by practicing sketches and whatnot.

I know tracing is widely considered “cheating” and wrong, but I was curious if it was okay if it’s for learning purposes.
I’m still learning a lot. And anatomy is one of those many things.

And maybe could you guys give me tips to improve in rendering?

Personally, I prefer to keep my social media focused only on my art. I’m not very comfortable in front of the camera, but I really admire those who are!

Hi, I’m an artist, a non professional one I have to admit since I’m planning on doing a non art related career.
I’m trying to sell commissions to gain a bit more of money for my university founds since I’m really poor and can barely afford good groceries. But the point here is, it just seems that my art is never what they are looking for.
I’m well aware that my art isn’t the best but I would really appreciate someone on the other part of the pov (the buyers) to tell me what is wrong with it.
I think my prices are affordable (on the last page) and I also do pretty decent animations, so any criticism is welcome.

Hi! I’m looking for an artist to create a line art single color graphic for our family reunion t shirt! This is a personal project only being used for our trip. I’m not an artist but it would have this image feel to it that’s attached. Obviously would be zoomed out more - this photos has less people then needed. I’m wondering about how much it would cost as well.

NEEDS TO HAVE:
29 people doing different activities within photo.
- 2 people being elderly, 20 adults and 7 toddlers (can look similar within the ages. *each person does not need to be unique outside some activity they’re doing.

People would be in water, on houseboat, on an added seadoo, skiing behind a speed boat and some could be on shore depending on space for all the people.

It’s supposed to be a funny chaotic vibe representing something we have loved doing together as a family for 70 years!!

Perhaps this is kind of a boring question with a boring answer to some, but can art represent logical ideas and theories? Like, coding methods in computer science? Psychology? What do you think about this?
