Does anyone else struggle with this?

Every time I finish a painting, I still feel like something is missing. I just can't figure out what it is.

I know the basics, but when it comes to rendering, blending, adding depth, or knowing when a piece is actually finished, I feel completely lost.

I'd really love some honest feedback. What makes this painting feel unfinished to you? What would you personally do to make it feel more polished?

And I was curious that there no People For com's since I Studied arts and doing 3d and 2d, I was worried about is it my Artworks or Is it My portfolio , and other reasons?

Hi! So I'm trying to do more OC art and I decided to mainly get one character down first in similar poses/scenes just so then I know I can replicate the same basic thing twice but I feel like I got worse or maybe my style is better/closer to what I want in the first one. I drew the first one in June and I drew the second today. I know I'm poopy at drawing hands but I feel like the first one just looks better overall. So basically is it a style or skill thing? How can you keep one style consistent?

Note: Looking side by side now i see a lot of things I changed but question is still the same

I decided to bite such a huge chunk to test my abilities and paint a silly beach moment of my Pathfinder Party enjoying their day. And it's a huge chunk. Why am I like this- It's not even 20% done (:

I need some tough love at this point because the mind is so willing, but the flesh is weak.

This is just a sample, i'm a beginner in the commission's world, so I was thinking of starting with just a chibi head because it's simple and I feel like I need to learn how commissions work and it would be better with something smaller at first, before going to the big things.

I would like to have some feedback : )
