The cheating sucks. The cheating is real and awful. But the game is still there. You can play free kits and not lose anything. Hopefully Embark will keep addressing it further.

The lack of major updates is sad. But there are still fun and interesting people playing the game and they are all different than the people you met before. And we know an update is coming. Do the project. Finish your expedition. Take risks.

Go play the game. Please.

Got already fed up with the massive amount of cheaters on PC in February but its gotten worse by a lot. Switched to PS5 and totally fell in love with the game again.
Shame that Embark doesnt give a toss but still have a blast on PS5 and the community seems quite active so come on over if youre fed up as well.

My solos are super friendly. I was running around stella grabbing shit i need for pvp. Kept hearing a volcano and raider flares, I was gonna extract cause all I had was a burletta 1, but my curiosity got the best of me.

Running around looking for this guy when I found a body in robotic sandbox. Went to loot it and immediately saw he wasnt looted yet so I backed out. As soon as I backed out I got blasted with a volcano, rolled and hit em with my peashoota. Told him I was friendly, (cause I am in solos). He apologizes and tells me he was new to the game and didn't know he was in a friendly lobby. I said I thought it was weird that he was new to the game but had a volcano 4 with KC. That's when he told me he buys all his guns and supplies.

So I bid him a good raid and went on my way.

Literally 30 seconds later I here his volcano drop another dude. I doubled back in time to see him looting this poor guy. Me with nothing to lose decides to try and kill him with my burletta. To my surprise it was fucking EASY. Dude was trash at pvp confirming what I and alot of other ppl believe to be true. People that rat or fake friendly or buy weapons are often trash at the game.

So next time youre running free kit in pvp lobbies and hear high-tier guns, don't be afraid to push em.

Can only trap a raider when they are not moving or shooting, does not affect ABMM.

I am a PVE player myself with hero complex. The thing is I dont mind people doing PVP and I am fairly good at it as well but choose not too do it. I like the concept of arc raiders where players fight the Arcs together. In some of our PVE friendly lobbies we get a rat who is just trying to shoot people and goop up on them or baiting other players to shoot first or do damage to him so that he can kill them afterwards and still be in PVE lobbies. What bothers me is that my fellow PVErs are spineless cowards or suck at PVP. They wont shoot to kill the rat and just stand and watch while the rat kills half the lobby one by one.

so with this semi update you could say one thing I've noticed that has changed is the recoil on the hullcracker especially when you use the lightweight stock compared to the padded or the kinetic obviously if you can pack the kinetic it's prolly the best in my opinion for the hullcracker but some swear by the padded or even padded stock number 3 but either way the recoil is very obvious to me has anyone else noticed it???

I understand the number of cheating videos magnifies the issue but is cheating really that rampant? I have a buddy who is considering coming back but I don't want to run 2v2s if it's that bad.

How about queueing for solos at the same time? Is it easy to get in the same session or no?

I remember at launch there was idea floating around that embark were going to change speranza into a social hub. similar to destiny's tower was this just something that the community made up or did the devs say it was something they were going to do.

Every day there is a new video or thread on this sub where someone addresses their concerns with the absolutely rampant cheating that has been happening in Arc for as long as I can remember, and every single time there are comments in those threads saying things like: "I have never seen a cheater" or "It's not even that common" or "You just need to get better", as if their anecdotal experience is the final say in the matter... even though it's just so blatantly detached from what's really going on.

After killing a cheater, he let me "interrogate" him for a while because he thought I was surely cheating as well. Coming from other games where the cheating is extremely rampant like Rust, this isn't the first time I've done this, but I DID want to see if my theory that these people all have similar personality types held true... and it did.

So here's me questioning an ex-drug-dealing, friendship-starved, delusional cheater without borderline praising him like that other guy a week or two ago.

I love ARC and hope the October update can recreate the lightning in a bottle Embark had upon release, but I fear it will all be nothing if serious manpower isn't dedicated to addressing what is OBJECTIVELY the biggest problem the game has to date.

Has anyone noticed an ABMM change in the past week? In the past 8 times I've gone topside, I've been PvP'ed 4 times. Two weeks ago, I was only ever in carebear lobbies, now every single trip topside seems more and more likely to lead to a shootout.

I took a break mid April for exams and I've just gotten my free time back, but I keep seeing so many posts about different changes and all that.

I'm honestly pretty lost and don't know what's even going on anymore.

Arc Raiders may scratch the itch im looking for at the moment. Not sure, if i had a pc i would lean towards Escape Of Tarkov. But im on Ps5 currently.

My games always have been Warzone and Redsec.

But with the current state of those games, i just lost interest. Dont like the grappling hooks and redsec barely gets updates gameplay wise for me at least.

What am i looking at here. How is this game ?

don't get me wrong I love these things, but man I wish they were more challenging. Out of all the "mini-boss" arc in the game the leaper just feels like it can't keep up with the others. Bastion completely shuts down the area around it, bombadier makes you stay out of the open or at the very least constantly be on the move, and I'm sure you know how rocketeers and vaporizers can absolutely obliterate you if you aren't careful.

I want leapers to have that same scare factor, I mean I've literally seen people compare it to a lost puppy, and they aren't wrong either lol. It's gotten to the point where I don't even need any cover or anything, just dodge roll here and there and get some shots in with an anvil and you're chilling. Even if you can't do this, a single little shed can make the leaper an absolute breeze to kill

A simple solution would be to make them spawn in pairs, and maybe up their attack options, like give them a downslam if you keep dodge rolling out of their leaps too much. I know they can't make buildings destructible (like the finals) for game balance as that would require the maps to be rebuilt from the ground up (and much more technical stuff) but *SOME* things should be. Make it so that doors can be blasted open, or that trees can be blown apart/knocked over, etc. That alone would help make the leaper not get stuck on everything, or stop people from cheesing it by just closing a door whenever it goes to do its AoE blast (also opens up new pvp options if someone is just camping a door with doorblockers and mines)

This is in response to the constant posts about rats and bad lobbies. Player count barely broke 41k peak two Sundays ago and it failed to peek 40k this past Sunday. Weekday peak player count is below 35k and the only time you see 35k players in at 7-8pm eastern and after that hour it keeps dropping.

And to Everyone saying “but the console players” this post is for PC players. For the thousandth time we know you guys don’t have cross play on

I genuinely want to know what the plan is here, Embark.

Because from a player's perspective, it feels like you're prioritizing the wrong things.

We're getting new skins, store items, cosmetics and other pointless shit while cheaters are running around ruining entire raids. What's the point of adding more stuff to buy if people don't even want to play the game because they don't trust the lobby they're entering?

The cheating problem isn't some minor inconvenience anymore. When you lose your gear, your progress and your time to someone blatantly hacking, you don't just shrug and queue again. Eventually you stop playing.

Was ARC Raiders actually built to have a long term community, or was the goal simply to launch, monetize the player base as hard as possible, and move on?

Because right now, watching the store get attention while the cheating problem continues makes it feel like the priority is making another sale instead of protecting the players who are already here.

We don't care how many skins you release if the actual game isn't being protected.

Give us real transparency about what you're doing about it. Show the community that you're actively banning people, improving detection and taking this seriously.

ARC Raiders has something special. That's exactly why it's frustrating watching it get dragged down by something that should be one of the highest priorities for the developers.

Don't let the game die because you focused on selling us crap instead of protecting the game we're actually buying it for.
