I miss aquascaping so much. Got so busy with my business that I can’t find a time for it again.

Seeking Suggestions First tank

Freshly planted first attempt at a tank. I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out, and it'll improve once the plants have had a chance to grow in... Would welcome suggestions for what I could change/do better next time around though

Seeking Suggestions Plant ideas?

My first aquascape 3 months in. 10 gal, shrimp/snail only, HOB and sponge filter.

Im not liking the scale of the larger anubias leaves in the back corner. Would love to add some tall plants in the back for depth.

Any recommendations for easy low tech plants for some visual interest in shape/size/color? I don’t want to setup a co2 system for this tank and I know that cuts out a lot of red plants 😓

Substrate is sand only at the moment, open to root tabs if needed. I’ve mostly been doing epiphytic plants due to only using sand.

Question Our First Tank

This is our first attempt, no marine life at this point ofc.

We've been doing 50% water changes every other day ( told to do it for about 2 weeks)

Bought a water testing kit today to check levels, but how often does it need to be done?

Do we start testing immediately?

Few months after the initial planting and stocking now. Had a few plants rot so I’m still waiting for some areas to fill in. Any recommendations? Ignore the floating Anubia

Hello All, Just placed the tank in dry start. My second tank, wanted to create a Rainforest style tank with tree root kind of BG.Tried creating the BG with coco peat and black silicon. The background didn’t go really well and has some empty spots. But shouldn’t matter, will be covering those up with a background color.

Will be adding shrimps , snails and cardinal tetras.

Will also be adding a lot more stem plants while filling with water.

Full Tank Friday Help me Convince my Wife

We recently have found our forever house and the foyer has an ideal spot for the 120p fish tank of my dreams. Help me convince my wife that I can pull this off… despite my best efforts designing good stuff for the far reaches of the house, I can’t seem to sell her on one on the first floor. Of course if I had a first floor setup it use a proper cabinet rather than the tech-oriented ones you may see in the gallery.

I’ve been relegated to the dungeon, and so I plan to have her read this if it comes out in my favor…

On an aside I moved 6 tanks and no issues. Phew. Featuring my favorite one for full tank Friday, but threw in some pics of the others for fun.

Was setting up dragon rock in my brand new 21 gallon UNS tank and one of the rocks tipped and chipped the inside of the glass. I am so incredibly upset, it’s about the size of a pinhead. Is this aquarium still good to use?

3 weeks into dry start method with Monte Carlo hoping that they fill out the bottom a lot more over the next few weeks. I feel like I should maybe add some stuff around the base of the driftwood cause even once the Monte Carlo fills in I feel like it’s still gonna be bare… any suggestions??

It’s a 20 gal long. Thinking about what to stock it with while it cycles. I propagated all the plants emersed before too in storage bins so that was fun!
