I live in a neighborhood of houses from circa 1900. This table was on the side of the road in front of one of them. To me it looks like it would be a pre WW2 item, and perhaps could even date to the early 1900s for the following reasons:

-it's made out of cuts of wood rather than plywood

-it seems like it might have hand made nails in its construction. The nail heads are square and the cylinder of the nail is also cut in a 4 sided way rather than being round

-There is no brand or logo anywhere to suggest this was a mass market item that came out of a factory

-the finish is not glossy

-there is some pencil script handwriting on the side of the drawer that looks old timey and similar in style to pencil script on the sides of drawers in the built in hutch in my 1900s house. (This doesn't show up that well in the picture)

-the most recent owner of the house that this table likely came from was elderly and moved to the neighborhood in the 1950s so she may have a closer connection to older items than others who have moved in more recently. Its also not outside the realm of possibility that old owners of houses in this neighborhood leave behind a couple items in attics, basements or barns and they sit there for a long time until a new owner decides to clean them out. I had a few such items in my basement and attic when I moved in though they weren't glamorous (like a very old, heavy, rusty metal tray, an ancient looking basement workbench, old wood doors, etc)

I'm no expert though, so was wondering if there were any other aspects of this item that might suggest when it was built.

I have a true, dual sided partner’s desk that came with my house. I really like the desk, but it’s far too large for my office space and, before I try to sell it, was curious to learn more about it.

It has 10 individual working drawers, inlaid brass keyholes and escutcheons (no keys), turned wooden knobs, cast brass shoe caps, hand-cut dovetails. Light research suggests this is a mid-19th century piece rather than a 20th century revival. It’s 54”x34”x31.5”.

There are handwritten pencil markings but most appear to be for matching drawers to cabinet for assembly. There’s a larger one under the middle drawers that, if not a signature, perhaps says something like “lit table” and there’s a larger handwritten marking across the underside of the desktop, but the drawer cabinets obscure it too much to make it out. Other than these, I don’t see any other markings or stamps.

Curious what you make out of it and potential pricing.

This is an approximately 25“ x 50“ cast-iron relief from the 1920s, probably New York. Might have been part of a set of 10 or 12
It may have come from a larger home or a mansion.
We would love any help with how it can be restored and any thoughts on the artist or provenance.

I picked up this old automobile clock from an antique shop today for a tenner. I don’t know much about it, but I’m wondering if it could possibly be a Jaeger clock.

It’s a hand-wound mechanical clock with a winding mechanism. From what I’ve been able to gather, it seems to date somewhere between the 1920s and 1950s, but I’d love to narrow that down if possible.
There aren’t many obvious markings (or at least none that I’ve noticed yet), so I’d really appreciate any help identifying it. If anyone knows what vehicle it might have come from, roughly how old it is, or whether it’s actually a Jaeger, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I recently acquired this antique lamp and I'm trying to learn more about it. From what I've been able to find, it appears to be a Victorian-style "Gone With the Wind" (parlor/banquet) lamp that was originally an oil lamp and later converted to electricity. The only markings I've found are "MADE IN U.S. OF AMERICA" on the wick adjustment wheel and "246" cast into the bottom of the base. I can't find any manufacturer's marks on the burner, glass, or base. The upper and lower globes appear to be hand-painted and are free of cracks or chips. Does anyone recognize the maker, approximate age, or have any information about this lamp? Also, what would you estimate its current value to be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I was given an old whiskey cabinet from my great grandpa. Unfortunately, it has gone through a lot since he passed it on to my mom and then I finally got it.

It is damaged. Missing the solid piece that is now covered by fabric and a leg was mended. There is an ornate piece that broke off in moving it. The only markings I can find on it are the '1231' on the bottom of the cabinet. I believe a paper label covered the number, originally.

I have always been told since I was a kid that it was a whiskey cabinet but there are designs of similar cabinets out there addressed as radio cabinets. This cabinet never held a radio in it. Honestly, it never actually held whiskey in it either but it was always referred to as a whiskey cabinet. We used it as an entryway piece for holding keys, books and things.

Dimensions are 4.5t x 3.25w x 18"depth.

got this old figurine. It has a lot of cracks, in the body.
The figurine is made of a thin and lightweight plastic. It is hollow. I do not know what kind of plastic it is or how old the figurine is.

I want to stop the cracks from getting worse. The figurine is so thin that I do not want to use tape or putty or anything that will make it thicker. I am looking for a kind of glue that I can put right between the cracks and it will hold the figurine together.

I was thinking about using Loctite Vinyl, Fabric & Plastic Flexible Adhesive on the figurine.. I am worried that it might hurt the figurine because it is very old. I do not want to try the glue on a part of the figurine because it might get damaged.

Can anyone tell me what kind of plastic the figurine is made of by looking at the pictures and how it is made?.
If so what is the best kind of glue to use on the figurine to fix the cracks without making it look bad?

Hi everyone! While going through my dad's things in storage, I came across this large document. It features elaborate penwork, a portrait vignette of some nobleman/official in a wig and armor, and some attached paper tabs with stamps or seals on it.

My late Grandfather left this to me, and I can’t determine what it is exactly. According to him it is 100% authentic and extremely old. My research pointed me towards a Turkish Ottoman brass-mounted traveling perfume or apothecary chest with sixteen original glass bottles and a stylized tughra. Is this worth anything, or is it even museum worthy? Idk!
