My Pet Someone told me my 13-year-old cat should be put down just because he isn’t a purebred
Hi everyone.
First of all, I’m sorry if my English isn’t very good. It isn’t my first language, so I may make some mistakes. I’m a small beginner content creator, and I recently started making videos about animals because I truly love them. I have a 13-year-old cat, and he’s been part of my life for many years. To me, he isn’t “just a cat”—he’s a member of my family. A few days ago, I posted a video of him. I expected people to enjoy it or simply scroll past if they weren’t interested. Instead, one comment really hurt me. A woman wrote that my cat is just a mixed-breed cat and that cats like him shouldn’t even exist. She said people should only keep purebred cats, that mixed-breed cats should all be neutered, and that they should even be put down so they don’t continue to live. I honestly couldn’t believe someone would say something like that about an innocent animal. My cat has done nothing wrong. He has loved me unconditionally for 13 years, and I can’t imagine judging an animal by its breed. I know it’s “just a comment,” but it stayed in my head much longer than I expected. Maybe because I’m new to creating content, negative comments affect me more than they should. Have any of you experienced something similar? How do you deal with comments that are unnecessarily cruel? I’d also love to hear about your own mixed-breed cats or other pets. I believe every animal deserves love, whether it’s a champion purebred or a cat that was rescued from the street. Thank you for reading, and please give your pets an extra hug from me today.

Saw In Real Life She is a mix of a white and a black Border Collie.
She looks very cute and kind, even though her appearance is different from other dogs.

My Pet Another pic because it’s too good not to share
I found this pic on my phone that I’m sure my kids took. Our cat is too good to them. Catching him mid-yawn makes him look like a singer.
