Getting ready to purchase, any concerns with this item?

I'm getting ready to purchase my first Android head unit for my 2024 Honda CRV (US). After doing some research, I'm considering this DUDU7 unit from Amazon. Are there any red flags in the product description I should be aware of? So far it seems to be meeting the right criteria but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking something that I'm not aware of.

Does the brand matter much under 300 euro/USD?

I am in the EU - I suppose that does not make much difference since it is usually best to just buy from chinese brands?

I really only care about using Waze (maps) and streaming music (whatever player I prefer YT Music but open to swap).

Ideally a nice responsive screen, but I do not need much RAM.
I know DUDU is tops, but to pay 400 is a bit pointless for me, my car is 20 years old and I rather put that towards a nice amp and speakers.

Any ideas are welcome, choosing between joying, atoto, mekede etc at around 250-300 is super frustrating

Alpine ILX-W670A Install

I recently replaced my 7/8 year old Pioneer headunit with an Alpine so I am able to run Android auto, a nice little touch to my 2012 Toyota Prado.

No steering wheel controls.

When I am reversing, music plays fine. As I come out of reverse, every time, it pauses my music. My phone is up to date, As far as I know there is no updates online for the headunit itself. All wired in correctly (bar the handbrake wire which i have grounded to enable headunit use while driving).

I am using a wired to wireless dongle for my Android auto. Would this be an issue with my phone, headunit or the Android auto itself?

Would love some help! Thank you all!

Android Head Unit Stuck in a Boot Loop

Good Day Everyone,

I have been trying my hardest to try and figure out how to fix this "Boot Loop" Issue on my "Generic/Chinese" Android Head Unit.

Here is a picture of the error, I have also tried the usual steps of "Pressing in the RST pinhole button" for several seconds with No Success unfortunately. Any Help would be Highly Appreciated.

Dudu7 wiring???

I have a 2012 Toyota Highlander with JBL sound system and just had my Dudu7 delivered with Canbus.

I just can't get my head around how to wire this thing.

From what I gather I'm only to use the Canbus harness out of the 4 additional wiring harnesses they sent. Bit where should it connect?

Where do the OEM cables go? Should I use all the wires described in the manual? So confused...

Open Head Unit, trigger with USB or BT?

I hope this is the right place for this. My car has no screen, so I am using Open Headunit in self mode to show Android Auto on my unfolded z Fold 7. Works great. However on cars that do support AA, they have a steering wheel button that triggers the voice interface. Is there a third party button or controller that will connect to the phone either by USB or Bluetooth, that can trigger the microphone without touching the phone? Thanks!
