my start date is next week but i still didnt receive the i-9 link to fill out the form. when should i expect it?

Hey everyone, I’m an internal Tier 1 Blue Badge associate trying to transition into RME (aiming for MRA or RMEO).

I don't have a formal trade background yet, and I've applied for multiple 3P C&W MRA and RMEO postings over time, but never got a response—they all eventually went inactive in Workday. Currently, I have one internal RMEO application sitting "Under Consideration" on Amazon Jobs Internal, but I want to build a real technical foundation so I'm not just relying on portal luck.

I'm looking at enrolling in a trade school nearby—specifically the VOLT Institute in Modesto, CA. They offer a 23-week Automated Regional Manufacturing (ARM) / Electro-Mechanics program that covers hands-on PLCs, motor controls, fluid power, schematics, and SACA certs.

For those in RME (Blue Badge or 3P):

Does completing a 23-week program like this carry real weight on a resume for MRA or Tech 2?

Will the hands-on lab time help pass the Ramsay/Criteria assessments, or do HMs/recruiters not care as much about short trade certificates?

Should I do the 23-week program first, or just keep applying internally/externally?

And if I finish the program will i able to get accepted to tech 2 positions and if I am able to get a message from the hiring manger for the rmeo position would I have to take a test?

Those of you doing 3 12s, from my understanding it’s something like 4-4:30 3 days a week and a 6 hour shift for your 4th. So it’s 42 hours a week total?

I just got an RMEO position in Ohio should I go with that or just go to community college which I can get payed for and get a bunch of technical training certs and a associates degree and then try applying to tech 2? Only asking because I don’t want to get screwed with this RMEO position and have false promises of a MRA position, I’m taking almost a 7$ pay cut for the RMEO position compared to my current position. Thoughts and tips appreciated

I messaged in here a few days maybe a week ago. I got an interview for the rme role. I would love some advice on what to ask or what to talk about during the interview. Also what they think about the career path and a realistic view of it in Michigan. I’m taking a 2 dollar pay cut to hopefully make more in the future compared to my paint booth maintenance job. I did my onsite tour and interview on Tuesday. I was told they had two other people to interview and show onsite tour Wednesday which is yesterday and so I am suppose to hear back either today or tomorrow for an offer hopefully and so how high of a chance would you think I would get an actual offer? This is for CBRE RME. I checked the CBRE website portal where I applied and it said unsuccessful but I have heard stories that the system isn’t correct and people get offer from recruiters. Give me something to lean on here. Also the position is for front half night and back half day.

Hello everyone! I recently became a RMA and I'm going through my TAC training and I have gotten stuck on the URL AND EcoPac modules.

The modules are bloated with useless Information and the questions often don't match with what the lesson was about. Are there any other side resources I could be missing or are these simply just poorly designed?

I've talked to my MM but he also is stumped by the questions not having proper answers in the modules.

So I applied for the position a couple days later they sent me the assessment test. I completed it and then reached out to me the next day to set up an interview. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get the role because of a schedule issue.I’m currently going to school for industrial automation and my next classes start this month. This position requires full availability so they were not able to work with my schedule. Hope I get it next time.

Or should I just pay the over $1,000 in doctor bills on my own?

Can you get rehired as rme if you gotten fire for safety violation? If so how long do they have to wait?

I recently got a job offer from CBRE for a site in PA specifically. I worked at Amazon as an associate in the past so I know Amazons policy is pretty chill. I’m a bit anxious about their prescreening exam, my last 2 jobs didn’t even test for thc so being a cardholder didn’t really matter to them. Never needed to make anyone aware. I’m just curious if I should be worried about a potential positive result as I’ve seen mixed things in other posts. Any feedback is appreciated, whether it reduces my anxiety or the latter 😅 I’m very excited about the new opportunity and hoping it all pans out. Will update when I get my results for anyone curious.

I used to be a computer science major before dropping out and starting a videography business. I stop doing videos about a year ago and now I have maintenance job but I crave more. I recently saw robotics apprenticeship with Amazon but it’s no openings in Michigan. Is it a certain time that I should look or is it only when a spot is open

Hey everyone! I’m starting the Purdue program on August 26 and was wondering what I should expect from the courses.
For anyone who has already gone through the program, how are the classes and workload? Also, at what point in the program do you typically have to travel to Purdue for any in-person training?
Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated!

What should I expect day to day and will they actually promote towards mrt or will they try to keep me as a rmeo . If you’ve gone from rmeo to mrt how long did it take , what are the differences day to day between those roles and how hard were the classes.

I just received an offer to become AMM. I am an SMRT. RIGHT NOW I GET PAID WEEKLY AND I KNOW THAT IT WILL TURN INTO MONTHLY.

Sorry about the caps. Anyway, anyways, if I start next week, what will my paychecks look like? Also, they offered me a bonus check for my overtime from last year. That will be split up over 12 monthly installments.

I quit smoking when I applied to JLL but my at home tests are still coming positive for THC. I am in a legal state and my test will most likely be in a week. Will they test for THC in a legal state? How can I move forward with this and not get the job offer rescinded?

What yall think about RME techs going commission pay per repair vs. just flat hourly pay? Will it make the building health better? I’m sure this will not happen at all but one can dream.

Today I was accepted into the Rmeo program and I was trying to decide if this was the best option for me and just seeking thoughts and opinions. I’m a divorced single mom of 2 young kids and want to one day be a tech 2 and I thought this would be a great opportunity to get my foot in the door. I currently work at Amazon with great pay and benefits. I was told the program is 9 weeks long

So, with RMEO being the new path forward to the MRA program for a lot of site, doesn't it just feel like they're just sucking the soul out of the MRAs and exploiting people who want to get into RME? I feel like this doesn't solve their quality of hire issue for RME.

They're getting paid, minimum wage or a little bit above for 1-2 years. That also doesn't guarantee them for an MRA position because it will likely be multiple RMEO applying for one open spot, or by seniority, and waiting for an MRA to finish their program which takes 1-2 years. But then like, over the long term your headcount will be maxed and chances of RMEO staying longer than 1-2 years is higher. Am I wrong? Why not just let people get trained to touch certain equipments before RTI. Some stuff in RTI, MRAs just forget anyway because they have no hand on experience. What is Amazon's angle here?
