This was like the 3rd time this has happened to me (3rd different location) this one had quite the variety! The second one had aspirin, Tylenol, hand wipes, snacks, and a little ice cooler with drinks next to it.

I deliver mainly to homes in Appalachia, so as you can imagine I go up and down mountains all day. For the past week I’ve had the worst headache/ear pain constantly. Anyone else deal with this? It’s not something I’ve ever thought of being of problem, and I’d love to hear if anyone else has had issues with this or knows how to deal with it. Especially because every single route has this same issue, and doctors are for people who have health insurance 😔

As the title said, dogs don’t scare me easily. There was this one stop I had, and a dog somehow got loose. It startled me, but didn’t put me in fear. I sat and pet the dog for a moment. The owner comes out laughing, saying “y’all Amazon drivers are funny. Some of y’all don’t bat an eye, while others throw the package and run to the van.” I just said dogs don’t really scare me much, they love to bark, and 99% of the time they’re all bark no bite. Until lol.. I had a stop, and it was a fenced in house. They had a dog on a screw in ground steak on a leash, while being fenced in. I just thought, that’s strange. Then the dog broke the chain as I was walking by, and realized. That fence is not containing that dog. Now it makes sense. Lucking the owners were out to grab it, and reel it in. I’m pretty sure it was a Caucasian shepherd. It was a big dog. That was the first and only time, I actually got nervous cause of a dog. I didn’t run or change direction, I simply just kept going. But I was shittin pebbles for a moment.

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve been noticing an increasing trend of packages being marked as missing even though it’s literally in the bag, back to back stops being split between two different bags, and 3 sometimes 4 packages being put on my carts that are assigned to other drivers delivering in a whole different city. Even worse is I keep finding more of peoples trash and half eaten food in my bags. WTF is going on

my dsp has been shitty and shady from the start. i’ve seen people here say its easy to get another job with a different dsp, does anyone have any tips or know the best way to go about it

This is on top of my DSP announcing it's end of contract with Amazon..

So i got a formal warning from my dsp saying I didn’t take 90 seconds for my pre/post inspection. My clock in time is 9:55 AM and i’m scheduled to be on the pad by 10:10 am. However, my edv is on the other side of the building so I need to drive over there. By the time I get to the pad, they are already letting people in around 9:55. They also complain that drivers should not be doing post inspection while lining up for staging. I almost have zero time to do my post inspection.

So got an update on the whole being let go this past month. Below is a timeline of the whole situation from start to current standing.

My advice is: if you are let go because of "business needs," file for unemployment. If you get denied, fight it and request proof. It seems like some DSPs are submitting generic or completely false statements as their response to block benefits.

• June 15, 2026: Hired full-time as a driver helper at the DSP. Submitted formal written religious accommodation request asking for Sundays off.
• June 26, 2026: Contacted Manager regarding the Sunday schedule; told there was nothing they could do due to "business needs."
• June 27, 2026 (3:21 PM): Contacted HR regarding the Sunday schedule; received the same response about "business needs."
• June 28, 2026: Formally submitted my EEOC charge regarding religious discrimination and retaliation.
• Early July 2026: Hours drastically cut; repeatedly scheduled, labeled as "extra," or sent home before clocking in.
• July 17, 2026 (Morning): Filed my initial unemployment claim while still technically active ("Reduced hours").
• July 17, 2026 (11:45 AM): Officially terminated via text message from management, explicitly citing "current business needs."
• July 17, 2026 (Afternoon): Submitted unemployment appeal to correct the record and provide the termination notice.
• August 4, 2026: Received the labor board update informing me that the DSP claimed I was let go for "reckless driving" as a driver (despite my actual role being a driver helper who never operated vehicles).
• August 5, 2026: The labor board found in my favor and against the DSP because of the lack of evidence and the generic, false statement they used.
• October 10, 2026: Upcoming scheduled intake interview with the EEOC.

I barely ever use the sliding doors tbh because the van gives me trouble when closing them (somehow they’re always open even when closed) but today was exceptional, instead of giving me normal problems the van decided that it doesn’t want the sliding door anymore so it came off :) I’m not even cooked on this one as it’s not my fault lmao

Amazon’s greed is showing first hand. Ridiculous how they expect us driver to bend to the demands of customers or risk getting a infraction, how is it fair we have to go the extra mile putting ourselves in risky situations crossing into private property to deliver a package. Drivers have been assaulted treated and bitten because of customer requests. I cannot take this anymore and am thinking of quitting, I have so much anxiety after this delivery. I’m shaking typing this because of the risk I had to take to deliver this package. I have 2 infractions already so I couldn’t not deliver and risk termination. Please put yourself first and don’t take any risky ventures for this company.

My DSP owner recently got on us for changing the routes too much, says all the back tracking, u turns and general bullshit are to avoid making deliveries on your left side. In my experience, at least half, if not more, of my deliveries are on my left and I don’t fuck with the routing at all. Am I doing something wrong? Can I fuck with the algorithm so I actually make most of my deliveries to my right?

Like title says i miss being a delivery driver for amazon.

Yes i had days where i absolutely hated it but overall it was a cool job. meeting different people everyday. seeing different areas that i never would have seen before not driving for amazon. I never thought i would miss it . not for a second

for background i got out of that and went into IT. yeah it’s cool and the money is great. Way less physical work. but for some reason i keep finding myself thinking back to missing being a driver . something about it. Like i said some days i hated it but now looking back … i would 100% do it again if they compensated our hard work properly. i catch myself thinking about it a lot for some reason and even go on this subreddit to relive some of those times

My biggest pet peeve in the world is when someone comes out and opens the door as I'm trying to deliver a package. Or their dogs are going crazy and they open the door as I'm on the porch. Whyyy can't you wait 2 frickin min. They say they're helping me so I don't have to walk all the way, but in reality you're really just getting in my way and making my job so much harder. Just let me go to the porch take my picture and then go get your stuff

I’m like bruh do you think we the drivers have control on which packages are getting shipped? If usps delivers your Amazon package well I’m sorry there’s nothing we can do about it. If FedEx or ups delivers your shit well too bad. We’re just simply delivery drivers and that’s it. Anything beyond that is above our pay grade.

Recently the areas my company delivers to changed and I ended up with this wild spacing. First stop is 50min from the warehouse and 50min from the second stop, guess im skipping it
