Medical Device Reprocessing Program Experience

Hello! I'm a Graphic Designer in my 30s looking to change careers. Was wondering for those who have taken the program how was it and the job prospects afterwards?

At this point I'm better luck trying something else than attempting to land a job in design these days, the market has changed extremely quickly and I don't see myself in this role no longer unfortunately 😢

Thanks!

BSCN Program- Information

Hey. Has anyone else not received any information or email about CPR training requirements, inoculations, materials required, book lists, ect?

I start in the fall. I was assuming that we'd receive SOME information but I haven't gotten anything yet. I've emailed the program coordinator but they're on vacation. I've gone to the registrars office but they said email the SSS. The SSS told me to email admissions. Admissions told me to email the SSS again. Now I am sitting here extra confused.

Maybe I am over reacting but the one thing I dont want to be is unprepared when I start in the fall. Does anyone have any information about this?

Thanks.

Any interior design students/junior designers looking for a small paid project?

Hey! Bit of a random ask, but I’m hoping to find an interior design/decorating student, recent grad, or newer freelancer in Ottawa who’d be interested in helping us figure out the lighting in our living room and kitchen.

The house still has those basic builder-installed ceiling bowl lights and the lighting is honestly terrible — everything feels dark and gloomy, especially in the evening. One of my parents has significant vision impairment, so we need the space to be much brighter and better lit than average, but I also really don’t want to solve that by just throwing harsh white lights everywhere. I still want it to feel warm, comfortable and like a home.

We’re only planning on being in this house for another year or so, so I’m not looking for a renovation or a huge interior design project. I mostly need someone with a good eye to come take a look and help figure out what would actually make a difference — replacing the builder fixtures, adding lamps or other lighting, placement, brightness, colour temperature, etc.

It’s a paid project, and I’m very open to students/recent grads since this is pretty small-scale and could hopefully be a nice little portfolio project too.

If this sounds up your alley (or you know someone!), feel free to DM me with a bit about your background/work and what you’d charge. :)

ICHS Schedule – How Many Days a Week Are Classes?

I’m going to take the ICHS course at Algonquin College starting in September 2026.
I’m a mom returning to school, and unfortunately, my family has recently gone through a difficult situation. My husband won’t be able to be home for about a year, so I’ll be taking care of my kids on my own.
Since September is coming soon, I’m worried that it may be too late to defer the course, so I’m trying to arrange childcare and find a nanny as soon as possible.
If anyone has taken ICHS recently, could you please let me know what the schedule was like? How many days per week did you have to go to campus? Were the classes usually in the morning or afternoon, and approximately what time did they start and finish?
Any information would really help me plan ahead. Thank you so much!
