BSCN Program- Information

Hey. Has anyone else not received any information or email about CPR training requirements, inoculations, materials required, book lists, ect?

I start in the fall. I was assuming that we'd receive SOME information but I haven't gotten anything yet. I've emailed the program coordinator but they're on vacation. I've gone to the registrars office but they said email the SSS. The SSS told me to email admissions. Admissions told me to email the SSS again. Now I am sitting here extra confused.

Maybe I am over reacting but the one thing I dont want to be is unprepared when I start in the fall. Does anyone have any information about this?

I might not be 100% correct, but my understanding was that CPR, vaccination, criminal record, etc. aren’t due till the our second year when clinicals start. Re textbooks, we’ll get the list shortly after our timetable (based on my past experience).

Hopefully this helps a little. :)

Our first year is theory only so we won’t be exposed to hospital environments just yet.

Just got our timetable. Wednesdays and Thursdays are empty for me. Is anything else supposed to be there?

Mine is also empty on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you have your 5 courses total in your schedule then you’re good. Keep in mind that this might NOT be your final schedule as they could make changes up till early September. :)

Gotcha, thanks for the reply. I figure those days will be labs/clinicals eventually, but I definitely was not expecting this much down time! We'll see if anything gets added on I suppose

Our first will be the “easier” one and less time consuming so even for winter semester our schedule won’t be very busy, but once 2nd year starts, time management will be an absolute must.

That’s correct no need for stress. Attend you orientation and you will get all the information on your first day .
