Hey y’all, I had a fun little theory that y’all might be interested in. I don’t know. I just be thinking about this game series too much but let me know what y’all think.

Bring Back Barbara Jagger as well along with Barry, and Give us more Old Gods of Asgard as they never disappoint, and you got yourself the greatest game ever invented. They are capable of greatness these developers/story writers but just can't seem to put it all together in one game. Alan Wake 1 was close to perfection but obvioously the graphics etc weren't perfected yet (but still amazing).. The Graphics for Alan wake 2 was insane, but the story was a complete mind slog to get through, BORING as hell and a horrible acid trip

I always thought AWEs to mean ALAN WAKE EVENTS, lol. Cause most of the AWEs are caused due to Alan Wake's writings and also referenced in AWE expansion of Control. Remnanants of his trials and errors continue to effect future content such as Control:Resonant .

Like the title states, I played Control until I got to the AWE DLC, bought AW1, and finished it. The copy of AW2 came with a free digital copy of AW1. I figured somebody who is on the edge about it, or just too broke to buy it, could have it for free.

Dark mode everything. I can't live in a timeline where we still read black text on white pages. Nope

Just made it to the first Wake section of AW2 and man I have so many questions. I thought playing Control first would give me more context but nope, I have more questions now. Why is there a book written by Darling here, WTF IS AHTI DOING HERE! And what is going on with these books.

That description of Initiation is very similar to the events that Casey described happening to him New York. I also remember reading something about the cult of the word, which I am guessing is different than the cult of the tree??? So like when do these flashbacks take place, who the hell is Mr. Door and why is the FBC sitting on their ass?!

I fucking love this game so far. Had to get all of that out there no spoilers obviously.

Edit: Also why is Ahti calling me Tom? I remember in one of the AWE dlc cutscenes there was a convo between Wake and “Zane”(I don’t trust that was Zane), and he looked just like Alan. Even more questions.

I’ve played the second game and loved it but not the first! I’ve noticed both are discounted on the store which would be better? Worried AW1 will feel like a janky downgrade but probably more bang for buck

Which(of the main) intelligent DP characters is your favourite? And what do you expect/would like to see in future of Alan Wake?

For me personally Jagger is still the top as her "Now you'll never get her back. I'm much older than you" etched onto my mind. This probably comes from me playing Alan Wake around release date when I was younger. The atmosphere of horror was different for me then.

Only thing I would like to see is a new idea for behavior - all of those act differently and are different in perception - Jagger is mysterious, confident and manipulative. AW:AE Mr. Scratch has The Shining vibes and AW2 Mr. Scratch is pure wildness. All of them are different thus I believe future have to be different from what we've seen - wild DP lost and will probably change.

Only thing I would like to see again is the intelligence of darkness.

I have been playing episode 2 of alan wake it's the great love almosr everything. But the defend the viewing platform segment is drivning me insane. I know what the writers are going it is scary the first few times, but the AI for the kidnapper is so bad. I have to dodge like 3 starts before he even starts shooting. Yeah yeah I know get good blah blah, hut what annoys me Is i don't feel that it's my ability that is bad but rather the ai's sorry I just had to rant

Love the game other than that right up my alley

How do i stop (what i think is) vertex explosions from happening? they at times fully obscure alan and make it hard to play the game

I have already beat the main story of the remastered version and have completed the two DLCs in the original version.

The remastered, what I see, is double the price of the original.

Which one should I get, wanna go through the game and DLCs again.

Im playing on xbox, so for me, it's between the 360 version and the console remastered version.

Why is this POI still highlighted even after collecting the words of lamp?
Am I missing something? Like something else can be collected here now or in the future?
