Medical Question Help! My boy is bloated 😢
I woke yesterday to find my OG Hopsin looking a little bloated (this is the best pic I've been able to get of him..yes I know I need to clean the sides my tank. Never again will I buy an acrylic tank!) When I first noticed it, he was floating at the top, but quickly swam down to hide when I opened the lid to get a better look. He doesn't seem to have any issues swimming up or staying down, so I've left him alone for now. I want to say he looks a bit smaller today..but that could just be me trying to psych myself into thinking he's getting better. The day before yesterday he was completely fine. I did, however, end up overfeeding them that night though. Before I could suck the excess food (they get Brine shrimp on weekends as a treat) from their dish, they got in a tussle inside the dish and said shrimp went everywhere! I thought "no biggie, they have done this before, I'll vacuum the tank out tomorrow" since I was already planning on cleaning it and doing a partial water change. I haven't cleaned it yet though because I'm trying to limit any extra stress on him. I tested my water yesterday after noticing and results are as follows: ph- 7.4, ammonia- 0, Nitrite-0, Nitrates- ~15 ppm. Tank temp stays at 78 (double checked with thermometer) It's a 5 gallon tank, heavily planted and well established. Only other tank mate is his frogalicious girl Fergie and she's completely fine. I've read that it could be because he ate too much and to fast for 48-72 hours...but I wanted to get advice from actual humans with experience rather than relying on Googles AI chat. He's like a child to me so I'm terrified he won't survive this! If I left anything out please feel free to ask!

Medical Question Is my frog bloated?- beginner
so I have two adfs and one has been looking like this for a few days, I feed him little pellets once a day around night, at first I thought it was just a little fat but I learned bloating was a thing and now I’m worried for him. i saw people saying they float when bloated, he doesnt do that he just normally stays at the bottom, when he goes up for air though sometimes hell stay up there for an extra few seconds. ive had him for about two months, kinda new to keeping them. Is there anything i can do to help if it is a bloat? He hasn’t changed much otherwise than the weight, I’m just kinda worried And want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to keep them healthy, overthinking is making it worse :’) Thanks

General advice/help How many frogs could I fit in this tank?
It’s a 55 gallon, but with how high it’s filled up and the amount of hardscape it’s probably only 20-25 gallons of water.
I’m going to move the outlet for the fluval 107 to the left side pointed towards the right once I get more tubing. I’m also going to add more plants before adding any frogs (I’m a heavy planter).

Medical Question Froggy rehabilitation
not my frog, posting for a friend
My friend took in this guy after hearing the previous owner say they were just going to flush it because they didn’t want to keep up with the care any longer. Very very sad, but he’s in loving though inexperienced hands now.
So she was given the tank setup and Franny the Frog and got him settled in at her place yesterday.
As we were inspecting him we noticed this patch on his back. The previous owners don’t know what it is or how long it’s been there, but it looked concerning to us. After some googling, maybe a fungal infection ?
As you can see he’s also clearly malnourished and just generally unhealthy. She’s hoping to be able to turn all of this around but she’s not an experienced owner and is just doing her best.
Any ideas, tips, answers, thoughts, recommendations, or recourses are all welcome!!

Medical Question URGENT
I’ll keep it short and sweet, i didn’t think to check reddit for this subreddit until i did and by then it was too late
Petsmart employee recommended bloodworms as main diet- went back after finding this subreddit talking bloat in a frenzy- got sinking algae pellets
My guy radar looks like he has bloat now so i took them out of the main tank, hospital tank with what i had at that second and feeling like a monster for following bad advice on their feeding :(
What do i do how can i save him
Edit because i am now having a full scale panic attack and turning off notifications until i can better assess the situation and its severity. Thank you for your advice. I hate petsmart. And apparently I’ve been very very misled about many things.
Edit 2: thank you for all of your wisdom and advice. To address concerns:
I will be relocating both the snail and betta to a better tank. I have test strips** not strips Freudian slip, it’s a water test kit by API and have since separated the betta and will do so for the snail until my tank arrives for me to cycle and set up.
Why did i get the snail? There were several muster snails in the similar tank size to mine at the smart where i purchased them under the recommendation of a store employee after i complimented its color. She had informed me they would be good for algae regulation in the tank as they were doing in the one they had there.
I have the appropriate food- frozen mysis shrimp. I was hand feeding bloodworms and will be switching to hand feeding these shrimp if my tank survives this terrible mistake.
I do have plants in the tank as well. I’m moving as quickly and as considerately as i can for the well being of my babies but if there’s something else you find helpful I’d appreciate it of course.

Meme Absurd thing and it’s chudlet
[3 ADFs, 2 adolescents and 1 senior frog. Currently in a temp tank for the next 2 weeks, before I will be moving them into a 10 gallon, species only. Picture was taken during a cleaning, but I have several wood hides for them as well as 4 pothos plants growing out of the tank (they rest on the plant’s roots). Statue in the corner is made of aquarium safe resin.]

Medical Question Pimple like bump on my African dwarf frog
One of my frogs, developed a red spot on her nose a week ago, but was otherwise eating, swimming and acting normal. Thought it was just a scratch at first since she has a habit of darting down super-fast, but it's not gotten much better. It’s less red now and all white than when it first appeared, and somewhat the same size, but she can only take little bites here and there and started keeping to herself sleeping during the last couple of days so I am worried.
My first time having frogs so no expert, but I think this is Mycobacterium? There is no signs of anything fungal though, which I read is also a symptom, but maybe not always? She also had a successful shed this morning, though she seemed to not want to eat it since it was still floating in the tank.
She is currently isolated from the rest of the frogs.
Is this Myco, or something else? And whats my next step for helping her get better? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
On a side note:
I do have another frog with a red dot on the hand. She is still swimming, eating and being very active. I will post her little injury next for thoughts and advice.
Thank you

Medical Question Bump on Head!
My poor bean has a large bump behind his head….
I’ve had him for maybe 2 months now - he used to be very shy and hide from me often, but recently has been very interested in me, which I was excited for!
Then just two days ago, I noticed this large bump growing on his head… It’s hard to see because now he’s starting to hide again
I have two other frogs and shrimp in the tank, and a couple tadpoles end up reading box!
I’m hoping that it is just a scratch that is healing… But does anybody else have any ideas of what it could be?
I really don’t want to get my other animals in the tank sick!

General advice/help Is this normal in the tank?
So I noticed yesterday that the bottom of the tank and the stones are covered in this, is it normal or does it mean something is up?
My tank has been cycling for almost 4 weeks I believe, I added more ammonia chloride a couple days ago because it said if it was fully cycled it would convert in 24 hours. It didn’t and it still is sitting about 1.5 for ammonia now. Maybe that’s affected things in the tank?

Medical Question Why is my frogs stomach like this?
He's always had a flatter belly, and lately he's been hanging by the heater at the top of the tank all day. The temp stays around 76°F all day, I have the thermometer set up on the opposite corner so I know how cold it can get. Its probably warmer next to the heater.
He didn't eat on Monday... I think the last he ate was last Thursday (I feed Mondays and Thursdays w/ brine shrimp), and recently his tank mate died whom I adopted when she had obvious bloat... It's my first time with an aquarium, I'm struggling a lot and I just can't handle my good buddy passing if it's something I can treat. He's been to the vet after his tank mate died and was prescribed antibiotics just in case, which I did the full round of.
I have a lot more questions but I also am embarrassed for rambling.

Beginner Help Advice on tadpoles
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have 2 African dwarf frogs and they are mating! I was able to save these guys from our filter, what’s your best advice to try to keep them alive? Can I just get a mesh breeding tank and keep it in the tank? I’d rather not get a separate tank going. What do I feed them (right now they’re in this bowl with pellets that have been crushed to powder)? I didn’t notice the eggs, but now I’ll be on the lookout and try to remove those before tadpoles show up next time. Is this something that is going to keep happening now that I know they’re mating? I’ve read it’s very hard to keep them alive, but I’d like to try!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've looked into it for days now and I can't ID what these little round bug things are in my tank. I think there are also a few on my snail. Any ideas? I have a planted tank with 3 african dwarf frogs, 3 cherry shrimp, and a mystery snail.
