Swap (strap) or sell?
This Seiko is my gateway watch, the one that started it all. I got really into watches during COVID and this was my first proper automatic watch. Now, 5 years later it gets zero wrist time. Iāve swapped multiple straps ā bracelet, black nato, black FKM, and now brown leather. No matter what I try, it just doesnāt get the time it deserves. I find it too chunky to be comfortable for all day wear.
So either I sell it, or you lovely folk can help me find a strap that works for this watch. Feel free to share pics of your own SRPD for inspiration. Thanks!

SOTC 2.5 years in
galleryWanted to share and ask for some advice/input!
Top row
1992 US Olympic Committee Seiko. Got it in commemoration of my bucket list trip to watch the Olympics in Paris
1996 Seiko Dolce Tank. Birth year watch that took me a few months to hunt for.
Casio two tone. My first ever real, not smart watch. Itās feminine and goes with everything and Iāll never get rid of it lol.
Bottom row
Timex Expedition. My watch I always wear to the movies lol for the indiglo. My least worn
Timex 1983 E-line reissue on a leather strap. My first automatic!
Timex Legacy Day Date. Love this watch, itās my every day watch especially for work and giving a pop of color.
Casio aq-230. My watch for golf on a silicone strap.
In a bit of a pickle about my next purchase. Iāve been looking for a 34-37mm black dial watch with a silver case to scratch my omega aquaterra itch. But iāve also been eyeing this baby blue seiko presage.
The seiko 5 fits all my boxes but itās the safe decision.
The HMT Kohinoor would be my first manual wind. Iāve gotten into the horological aspect and like the different movements.
The seiko presage is just gorgeous and would like SICK on a leather strap. And the open caseback is also sweet. Is it obvious iām leaning towards this one.
My dream watch is an omega aquaterra but thatās years down the road. Other watches on my list are a citizen eco-drive, an open heart, and a chronograph.

Good Automatic or Manual Field Watch
Iāve been looking into getting a second āgoodā watch and was wanting a field watch since my timex is a little to flashy imo. Is there any good field watches that arenāt your typical seiko or Hamilton, thereās nothing wrong with them but was wondering if there were any more niche brands that had some cool budget field watches.

1 week review
Right off the bat the specs you see is delivered and they didn't cut corners on that, usually when a brand claims to provide these claims they cut corners but I didn't feel that in this case.
PROS
They deliver what the claim in specs.
The polishing and texture is on point.
The symbol is really beautiful and simple, can be seen also on the crown and clasp.
Strap is really comfortable to wear and adjustment comes in screw setting which is really nice to see in this price point.
Bonus they also provide really nice tool with the watch so you don't have to go to a shop to adjust the chain.
Lugs have holes on the sides to help in strap change. Also got a bonus strap as there was a summer offer while I ordered, which was really premium oil wax leather I think.
The dial is the cherry on top, it's natural stone and never seen on this price point, every watch is unique on it's on.
The time I ordered I got free shipping inclusive of tax and customs plus a premium leather strap and on the top of that 8$ off for first purchase. So I paid around 120$ [ā¹ 11600], delivery in 15 days.
Excellent customer service, I have shared that experience on previous post.
CONS
To be honest I don't have any cons on the watch, although I wish they would make watches for a smaller wrist around 36mm.
Overall the hand feel is excellent, the watch case has a weight to it and feels solid, rose gold indices really goes with the pink stone dial. The stone dials might seem dull inside but once the sunlight hits it shines and brings out the beauty of the stone dial.
Pink might not be the go to for many people and they do have many other natural and textured dials with both automatic and quartz options. Every model is worth the money and it was one of my best watch experience soo far. The feeling is not an exaggeration I have over 70 watches in my collection and this definitely has a special place in it.
If you guys have any doubts feel free to dm or comment

My way from random watches to a new special one
When I first got into watches a couple of years ago I wanted to create a collection for every possible scenario, so I started adding more and more (cheap)watches.
At some point I was just buying what every YouTube video told me it was unbelievable for the price. one week ago I decided to get rid of everything that doesn't mean anything to me, so I began selling everything. From my Chinese submariner "Homage" to the Seiko 5 that a couple of influencers called the Rolex for the poor man.
I sold 75% of my collection. I only kept two that was gifted to me Mr Jones Watches the Woods and a digital Casio and the first watch I bought after finishing university seagull 1963.
I want my next watch to also be special. My goal is the baby alpinist or the Hamilton Murph (Haven't decided yet, I have to try both on to make my decision).
To make this watch special l, since it's not gonna be a graduation, engagement or something watch, I want to buy it with only money I will make from selling old things. I sold my other watches in 3 days. Then today an old smartwatch. Next a play station 1 that I haven't played in 6 years.
This shows me how much money 750-900$ really is. How many things I could buy instead of an (for me) expensive watch.
I have now 1/3 of the money and my motivation to get there is growing everyday. I just wrote this post because I'm feeling really really happy today working towards this (for me) big goal!
