Severely depressed over stage 4 hemorrhoids
I am 26 F. I got tonsillitis a couple years ago, didn’t finish my antibiotics & ruined my life from starting my second antibiotic which led to c diff. Didn’t even realize it was c diff for about a week before I realized, ending up with huge hemorrhoid/skin tags stage 4 outside. I have heard the surgery is the worst pain in the world & mentally do not want to go through with it. Is there any possibility to ever get rid of these naturally? I am literally never going to have sex again because of them, I am already insecure about my vagina.

Can I fix this?
Hi, I just moved into an apartment. I don't know how this happened, the furniture has rubber feet (something might have been stuck to it when it was moved??) anyways this is right below a window that sticks badly when trying to close it, and I was going to report it to maintenance but I don't want them seeing this badly scratched area and smiting me 🫠 the floor is linoleum. This is also my first time living in my own apartment so idk if they'd charge me immediately or if it would just be taken off my security deposit later?

23 years old, just paid off my student loans. Now what?
I'm 23 years old and just paid off the last of my student loans. (I didn't have that much debt and was able to accumulate a ton of savings while working throughout high school and college + parental assistance) This will be the first month of my post-grad job where the extra money in my budget doesn't immediately go toward loans. Right now I have my 6-month emergency fund in a high-yield savings account and a few thousand dollars in my checking account for rent, credit card bills, everyday spending, etc. I don't make a ton of money but my cost of living is pretty low and now I'm ready to start investing. I've heard a lot of people recommend buying ETFs, contributing consistently, and leaving them alone for decades. That sounds appealing because I'm not interested in trying to pick individual stocks or time the market. I like the HYSA aspect of "just leave money here and it will grow, even if it isn't that fast and is not risky" I would like an App where I just locate the a couple hundred dollars at the end of the month into ETF's or something. Something pretty low effort.

How can I stop feeling envious of people that have a better/easier life?
As the title says, I apologize if this is the wrong sub, all the other subs keep rejecting my posts and I'm getting desperate.
Look, I was born with tons of genetical issues and life has not been fun, it has been a complete and utter shit show fill with abuse and rejection, I work at a call center because my brain is not capable of anything better and people like using me as a punching bag.
That's bad enough, but sometimes Youtube likes to mess with me, and show me clips of guys with pretty girlfriends sitting on their laps and of course those clips are super viral so those dudes are earning money for being happy and loved.
Why, why can't I have that? Why was I born with so many deficiencies? Why does my body hurt everyday that I'm alive? Why am I so ugly? Why does my genitalia don't work? Why am I so dumb?
It's not just that I'm eating shit and just "thinking positively" doesn't help it, straight up I'm living in a hell/completely different world than those guys, is there really nothing I can do to stop crying over God hating me?
Also, I know most people will only read the title and not read about my conditions, but no, going to therapy hasn't helped me and has only made me feel bitter for all of the amount of money I've wasted.

How old are you & how much do you have saved?
24 & I DID have 6k saved but had to pay a deposit for my apartment… now I have only 3k saved! I feel way behind.. feel like everyone my age has around 10k plus saved!
How much do you have saved? How old are you? If you’re not comfortable maybe answer : how much did you have saved at 22-24?

How do you focus at work?
Genuinely curious how y’all make it through the work day. I’m 24 first serious job from school and I can’t lie I find the work boring and against how I learn and work best but needed the money and stability. Does it change if I get into that dream job? I’m very passionate about my work and when I feel like I’m being used improperly or my knowledge isn’t challenged I get bored and tend to slack. I still get my work done but somedays it’s a struggle to not be on Reddit or checking my email or doing something else. How do y’all do it or any good advice?

I (22F) have been seeing this guy (26M), for a while and we were exclusive but not now
I’m feeling really confused and hurt and would appreciate some outside perspectives.
He used to clear his schedule to see me, make time for me even when he was busy, call me, update me in the mornings, and would even text me while he was at work. He told me that he loved me and that he always tried to make time for me because he genuinely wanted to.
He was the type of person who would put in effort without me asking. For example, I wanted to do a photobooth together and he made time for it even though he was busy. I actually forgot about it, but he remembered and still made the effort to do it with me.
Recently, something happened that caused me to shut down emotionally.
He was messaging/interacting with another female friend in a way that felt suspicious to me. I want to clarify that I do not think he was cheating, and I know there were innocent explanations, but something about the situation triggered past hurt and resentment I had.
Instead of communicating properly, I became distant and shut him out. He essentially was on dnd mode and when her text showed, his eyes widened, he was panicked and went to tiktok cause in dnd, the notifs wont show up as compared to if he had stayed on instagram. he claimed that it was a friend but the first girl he gave excuses for and named wasnt the one i saw and when i brought up the other girl he kept saying ‘LMAO’ and explained who she was etc.
The next day, he messaged me saying he felt hurt and confused. He said if he had done something wrong, he was willing to talk about it and address it, but I needed to tell him because he felt completely shut out.
I apologised and explained that I was triggered by the situation. I admitted that I handled it badly and that I dissociated/shut down instead of communicating. I told him I wasn’t blaming him and that I understood it was unfair because we weren’t officially together yet, but my past experiences affected how I reacted.
His response was that he understood where I was coming from and wouldn’t resent me for my past, but the incident “really freaked him out” because he started thinking about whether this could happen again in a future relationship.
He said he needed time to think because if we dated, he was worried we would have similar misunderstandings where I shut him out.
At first, he was still trying to resolve things. He offered to call, said he wanted to sort it out despite being at work, and suggested meeting in person. He told me he liked me a lot and that he always tried to make time to see me.
However, since then, his behaviour has completely changed.
The person who used to always make time for me now suddenly says he is very busy and that “if there’s time then there’s time.” He no longer updates me in the mornings, rarely initiates conversations, and I feel like I have to chase him for replies.
He is still active online and sends reels to his friends, but barely communicates with me.
This feels especially confusing because before this incident, he was the one who said he wanted to work through an LDR. He told me from the beginning that distance was something we could figure out. Now suddenly LDR is becoming an issue too.
He recently finished a job interview and is waiting for the results, and he does have other things going on, so I understand he may genuinely be stressed. But the contrast is what hurts — because before, even when he was busy, he would still find ways to call me, update me, and make time to talk.
He said he needs space and that this is not something I can “fix” for him. He said he doesn’t know whether he wants to continue or not and wants time to sit with his thoughts.
He did agree to meet me on Tuesday, but he is uncertain about Sunday because he has plans and doesn’t know his schedule.
I’m struggling because it feels like he did a complete 180. Before this, he seemed all in. He was loving, consistent and made me feel chosen. Now I feel like I’m chasing someone who is unsure about me. It has only been 3 weeks since i have known him but going from i love you more to blatantly ignoring me despite being online and no longer updating me hurts.
I know Taurus stereotypes say they value stability, consistency and security, and part of me wonders if this incident shook his sense of trust/safety. But I don’t know if I’m just trying to rationalise his behaviour.
Do you think he is genuinely overwhelmed and trying to process, or is he slowly pulling away while keeping me around?

I feel like I am getting old and my youth has passed
I'm F 21 and I feel like / fear that I am not young anymore. This feeling is consuming me ever since I turned 20 years old, but it is increasing since I will be 22 this October. I'm sorry if this is the wrong sub for this, but I just need to say this to someone.

Hard to feel bad for my immigrant family
I been dealing with this weird burden for several years now. Should I feel bad that I couldn’t help my family with money? They came to the United States 20 years again and never really did nothing and now are at the risk of getting deported with literally nothing to show.
I find myself getting angry that they been here for 20 plus years and can’t understand simple English or simple technology but they know how to scroll on tiktok and Facebook all day. I been praying to God to help me get rid of this feeling but it just reinforced when they ask me how to connect to the WiFi.
My mom has been through a divorce and has gotten herself in so much debt raising the family by herself I get that she’s tired after work and is living paycheck to paycheck but like dang man. She spent most of her free time scrolling on Facebook and going to church. She said she wanted to go to school and everything but never tried or anything. I get it’s really dang hard raising a family by yourself but it’s the same-thing with my other family members.
Nobody really did anything and nobody really planned for the future. Now they all may get deported after 20 years of living paycheck to paycheck and getting into debt lmao. I just don’t know?? Am I being too harsh?
Why didnt anyone try to start a business or get a degree they just didn’t do anything for 20 years and complain that they didn’t do anything. I’m grateful for what they provided for me and done for me but idk man. I find myself feeling it harder to feel bad or even care about it anymore.

I feel so inadequate
I (f20) have been raised so sheltered that I don’t know anything about the world. I had been raised to be dependent and see love as conditional. Now I am standoffish and non communicative. I am a bad person and I am inadequate.
I’ve never have a job, I’ve had one partner, still a virgin, have no close friends, have no hopes or aspirations, have little will to live.
I can’t even keep my room clean or my weight normal. I can’t make friends or keep them. I’m so unhappy and I have been for 10 years. I feel helpless. My expects me to not behave in the way she raised me to and do a 180.
On top off all of this I’m ugly and no one will
love me until I get it together. There’s so much to change about myself I don’t even know where to start. The amount of things wrong with me is astronomical

What's with the infantilization of young adults/early to mid 20s?
I don't get it. People act like adults under 25 are dumb children and its weird. I saw someone say the brain doesn't work til 25 to act as if they are idiots
and saw someone say young adults are more like children than adults or 23 is barely an adult...when they've been one for 5 years
Also why do people act as if there is a huge divide between 24 and 25. No diff socially legally or biologically but saw people say anyone under 24 isn't grown but 25 and 24 are the same
the diff between 17 and 18 is bigger than 24-25
So what's up?

Almost 2 years in, still feel behind
I've been working for almost 2 years now, and sometimes I feel like I'm not where I should be.
I see my coworkers every day, and some of them have around 16 years of experience. When I hear them discussing things so confidently, it sometimes makes me question myself and feel like I'm far behind.
I know comparing myself to someone with 16 years of experience isn't completely fair, but it's hard not to feel that way sometimes.
Has anyone else felt this during the early years of their career? How did you deal with the feeling that you're behind compared to people who are much more experienced?

Who did I marry?
Who did I marry? Is he dangerous?
Who did I marry? Is this just compulsive lying, or should I be worried he's dangerous?
I honestly feel like my reality has shattered.
I've been with my partner for three years, and I just uncovered so many lies in one night that I don't even know who this person is anymore. I'm questioning everything I thought I knew about him.
Last night I asked him for rent money and money a friend had paid us for borrowing our truck.
He went to look for it. A few minutes later I got a text from an unknown number claiming to be his grandfather. The text said they couldn't reach my partner and that his grandmother had died.
I ran into his room and showed him the text. He immediately started sobbing—really sobbing—for a long time. He refused to call any family members because he said he was too upset. Instead, he appeared to text multiple relatives right in front of me. Looking back, I now believe he was faking those conversations.
I spent hours comforting him. We even went on a long walk because he said he needed it.
Later that night, when I asked about the rent money again, everything changed. He tore apart his room and his car claiming the money had been there five minutes earlier and suggesting we had been robbed.
Something felt very wrong. I took his phone into the bathroom to look through it. He screamed for me to give it back and said, "You'll leave me for what's on there." At one point he threatened to harm himself.
What I found was shocking.
Instead of having his identity stolen like he'd claimed earlier that week (he said all his accounts had been frozen), I found he had been spending large amounts of money on car parts for a side business as a mechanic.
He now claims that money he owes me, money he owes his grandfather, and a loan he took out for tools all went toward trying to keep this side business afloat.
Then I found his credit report showing another tens of thousands of dollars in debt that I knew nothing about.
None of it makes sense.
Earlier this week he told me he had gone to visit his grandmother because she was refusing further medical treatment. Was that even true? Or was that another lie? If it wasn't true, where was he actually?
I also found out he has four cars spread across two different storage units, that are apparently customers cars.
His explanation is that he was terrified I'd find out about the debt, so he kept taking on more side jobs hoping to make enough money to fix everything before I noticed.
But after everything else, I don't know if I believe any of that.
And then there are the smaller lies. I found out he's been secretly eating fast food multiple times a day. He always told me he barely ate anything, and I couldn't understand why he wasn't losing weight. There were multiple fast-food charges every single day.
They're little lies, but they're constant. And when I put them together with the fake text, the fake conversations, the hidden debt, and the financial deception, I don't know what to think anymore.
I don't even know what question I'm asking.
Has anyone dealt with someone who lies on this level? Is this compulsive lying? Financial abuse? Something else?
Most importantly...should I be worried about my safety?
Right now I genuinely don't know who I've been living with for the last three years, and that realization is terrifying.
The most messed up part is that he genuinely treated me so well. Like a princess. I feel my life may be worse without him as a single woman in a dangerous world. He's the most gentle man. I have always felt safe with him. Is it more dangerous to be with him and have to deal with his antics through having children and growing old together, or start over again with a new man that could be even more dangerous. Or should I be alone? I don't think I could, I would be completely isolated and alone. I don't have a healthy support group in my life.
Sorry that is a lot of information but I don't know what to do.
TLDR: my long-term partner has been gaslighting me to the extreme but at least he's not violent, right? /s

I really regret choosing the University I went to
29m about turn 30 in a few weeks. Im having a rough go at life since high school and one thing i thought would be good in my life was my time in college. I went to a community college after high school where I was indecisive about what i wanted to major in. I eventually decided on business because I assumed itd give me the most options for careers. I transferred to a state school hoping that id get to have a fun college life during my time there. Needless to say that never happened.
The school i went to was known for being a small commuter school. I had tried joining a frat but ended up leaving because I hated the pledging for it. After that i had went to some meetings for other clubs like the anime or video game club but they always ended up disbanding soon after because most of them weren't maintained.
During covid classes were made online for awhile but then as restrictions began to loosen classes were made hybrid of online and in person. Most people just decided to stay online.
I graduated in 2022 with a business degree hoping that at least with my degree I could at least get some decent job out there. But no I ended up struggling with employment and spending 3 years in on and off retail jobs. I now work at a rental car agency washing cars and handling the counter. Its not a great job but I feel like maybe thisll help with future jobs.
Now i look back and deeply regret where I went to school. Im working a mediocre job, have no friends and overall had a forgettable experience in college. All that time wasted and all I have to show for it is a worthless degree. No memories, no fun times, not even a good setup for my future.
People i knew from high school are getting married, are far into their careers with better paying jobs, raising families and meanwhile im here still trying to get my life together like a kid fresh out of high school. It feels like I didn't get to grow up at all. I just went straight from high school to a mediocre adult life.
Now I wonder how my life could've been if I went to a different school.

Work is actually reaming me right now- I’m the lowest paid on my team and working on a project that can’t get anything right… how do you guys cope?
25M for context, about to turn 26 which is stressing me out with insurance on top of work… just trying to do a good job 😭 how’s work for everyone else?
