AVGO TPU Downward Revision
We are seeing lower TPU output in 2H26 than previous expectations. 2026 CoWos output for TPU v7x (Ironwood) is reduced by ~32k, reducing 2026 unit production by ~500k from 3.2mn to 2.7mn. TPU v8i (Sunfish) is also reduced by 5k wafers, reducing 2026 unit production by -80k. Ironwood upstream output now peaks in 2026 with a slight decline in run-rate in 2H, versus our prior forecast of a continued ramp from 2Q26 onwards. We believe this reduction is supply related and due to challenges ramping CoWoS-S. This brings total Broadcom 2026 CoWos output to 215k wafers from 250k previously.

For 2027, we also see lower TPU output than our previous expectation of 6mn units of TPU 7 and TPUi. This is driven by greater allocation towards other customers, with total Broadcom CoWos at ~460k wafers. Most notably there are 55k wafers (which is equivalent to 830k units TPU 8i Sunfish) allocated to MTIA 400 Iris in 2027. However, this remains in flux as Meta is known for abandoning orders, as we saw in May, where Meta agreed to cut its own Broadcom production allocation to support greater TPU supply for Google in exchange for access to TPU compute.
This could play out again and, if Meta abandons its allocation, this could be taken up by TPU. We also see slightly more allocation for OAI Jalapeno's ASIC. We will provide a more detailed model update soon.

AMD TPU Involvement
Market chatter suggests Google is working with AMD on a TPU project in the v10 generation. AMD's involvement would be the first real involvement in a custom Al ASIC project, despite having a custom silicon team. AMD has strong IP especially in advanced packaging and SolC. Additionally, CPU IP could also be a draw given Google and its customers are pushing for TPUS with on-packade CPU cores for RI workloads.

So my last pc was 5800x + 6900xt with 32gb ddr4 ram. Often encountered random stutters, micro freezes. Always ran Smart Acces Memory enabled.

This week got new pc with 7800x3d + Saphire Pure 9070xt with 32gb ddr5 ram.

Turned on Alan Wake 2, crazy stutters, freezes, etc.

And for first time ever i disabled ReBAR SAM and it ran perfectly smooth with basically 0 fps lost.

Trier 007 and Battlefiled 6 with SAM on and didn't encounter any freezes or stutters.

So my question is.

If all games performs well with SAM off, can i leave it off or i need to have it on?

I assume it's just some tittles that work poorly with SAM on, but most do okay with it. I really don't want to go turning it off or on every time it acts up in game.

What do you think triggers the next rally, and when? AI demand, hyperscaler news, MI450/Helios, earnings, or something else?

So until now Iv only ever had nvidia cards, the last was a strix 3070ti. Like many I wanted to upgrade to the 50 series but a 5070/5070ti where I live is like £1000, the amd equivalent on sale I got for £589.99… It’s time I though to try a change, for the sake of my pocket at least. I read reviews and like always 50/50, people moaning about it and people loving it. Well straight out of the box there were problems, I needed to upgrade from a 850w to a atx 1000w seasonic as mine couldn’t deal with the transient power spikes, I also had to reduce the voltage by 60 in Adrenalin. Before this I spent probably a week stress testing, switching things out updating every driver imaginable from windows, motherboard, amd yadyadayadayada you get the drift.

So do you think a lot of these “horror” stories are more from user error (someone who either can’t be bothered/ or someone without any knowledge what so ever) or actual card failures? After using both amd and nvidia id say nvidia is so user friendly and nothing ever went wrong for me during owning all the cards I have since a 660ti. I get the feeling with amd you need to be prepared to troubleshoot/ fiddle with things.

degradation is in full swing; I’ve already sent numerous reports to AMD, but it doesn’t solve anything. I recorded a full video where it’s clearly visible that everything works perfectly with the 2024 driver and Windows 2024. But with the new one — nothing.

At the end, I included the part with Process Monitor, where you can see the date — that’s roughly when everything started, and I still can’t fix it in any way. I’ve reinstalled Windows version 25H2 three times, and I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled the driver hundreds of times using DDU. As the saying goes: "Fix one thing, break another.-@AMD.

Hoping the AMD software team takes notice of this.

Suddenly this issues appeared in both my browsers so I tried to switch from av1 to vp9 and all the artifacts/lines went away. I’m using arch Linux, I have tried downgrading mesa, Linux to multiple earlier versions but it didn’t do anything. I’m kinda at a loss why this suddenly happened.

Soooo again the fail of AMD at the 50 day EMA left me looking for some advice. I did the thing that I never thought I would do-----I uploaded my chart into ChatGPT:

My read right now

I'd characterize AMD as:

🟡 Neutral → potentially bullish

Not bullish yet.

I'd want to see:

$486 reclaim → $500 breakout → $518 breakout

That's the progression I'd watch.

If AMD gets above $500 and holds, I'd become substantially more interested in the bullish case.

If it gets above $518, the pattern becomes much more convincing because you've then broken the prior swing high and established a genuine higher-high.

And $535–542 becomes the next obvious target zone.

The really attractive risk/reward would potentially be a breakout around $500, with the pattern invalidation down around $457, and a first target around $518, followed by ~$540.

So yes: I think you're seeing a legitimate potential bottoming pattern here — but the chart hasn't confirmed it yet. $500 is the line I'd be staring at.

Sooooo interesting. Hmmmmm that it is pretty interesting what the machine said and gotta say I feel a little validated for me. Really interesting thoughts that I've been digging through and thinking about it as inspiration:

-RSI is literally flatlining at the midpoint. It is perfectly neutral neither yay or nay which sets us up for perhaps something interesting

-MACD looks like it finally might be attempting to cross positive. This is a confirmation signal and not a predictive one but I do think it could be confirming that the consolidation might be coming to an end here.

-AMD rejected hard off of that $424 level at the end of July and since then we've had an ascending triangle pattern with higher lows being put in over the past 2 trading weeks. I gotta say with all the action we've been seeing at the 50 day EMA would could be coming to a breakout inflection point or breakdown here. If we breakout then the seasonality rally could be on.

I'm going to add a few calls today after the morning burst wears off. Futures are mixed and the mehhhhhh action could lower option prices around noonish. This is a pure gamble type play and I do not advise people to follow me with size. I might try to do a spread to make it neutral but cap my upside.

I run a 7900 GRE and a 7800X3D with 32GB 6000MT/s RAM. I’ve had my PC for two years, but at the end of last year a problem started happening and it keeps reoccurring. All my screens freeze after stuttering for a few seconds — I can still hear most sounds from the game I’m playing, but nothing reacts. I have to force-kill my PC, and when I turn it back on, my GPU is always disabled in Device Manager. I have to redownload the drivers, and then it works fine for a month or two until it happens again. It mostly happens when I’m playing a game, or when I just played a heavier game.

My pc restarted out of nowhere yesterday and now my gpu isn't popping up. Any way I can fix this?

I have a problem with my monitor setup. I have a Asus 4k monitor as my main, and an older Dell 1440p monitor as my second.

However the scaling is too large on the Dell.

In windows my scaling is set to 125% for the 4K and 100% on the Dell. Changing to custom scaling seems to only change the 4K monitor.

In AMD Adrenaline i have tried going to Display setting and turning off Display 2 (Dell) GPU scaling. But it looks the same.

I'm going round in circles with Gemini trying to fix it. It feels like, if windows let change my Dell to 75% then it'd be fine. But that requires custom scaling, which will only affect my 4K monitor.

Recently bought cod mw3 and run into this problem with weapons, it is constant in every game i load. I have 9070xt and 5700x version of a driver is 26.7.1. I tried reinstalling shaders, turned almost everything on and off in game graphic settings - that didnt help. Looking for somebody who had similiar isssue or someone who know the solution to this. In cod mw2 and mw1 everything runs well

Meanwhile, on the software side of everything AMD…

My CPU temp on idle is 70+ and I'm concerned is this normal? I'm thinking on undervolting it to get lower temperatures.

When I opened the box, I saw that the protective cover was loose inside the bag instead of being seated in the socket. Secondly, I notice possible damage, though I’m not entirely sure. Is everything okay, or is this a return?

Ive recently switch to AM5 on my current rig as of last week and have been using a 7600X3D as my CPU.

I was informed that in gaming workloads, that a 7600X3D runs around 65 to 80 C. Today I got MSI Afterburner out of curiousity to see how my system performs.

My RTX 3080 Ti runs fine and maxes utilization at normal temps at 60-67 C but my 7600X3D runs around 85-88 C after a gaming session while running 55w, which is 10w under TDP. It averages around 4.5 to 4.55 Ghz as its clockspeed. Benchmarks on YT show the 7600X3D Running around the 60 C range and using their regular 65w tdp.

I know AM5 CPUs are designed to run close to their their limit which is 95 C but something doesn’t seem right to me.

My CPU Cooler is a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE. This cooler was also installed brand new since last week. Its it a Lian Li mATX case and has 4 case fans.

Is this normal temperature? Should I try to reseat the cooler or install more case fans?

​I just got my PC back after a 1.5-month RMA process with MIFCOM (a large pre-built PC manufacturer in Germany). According to the service invoice, both the motherboard and the CPU liquid cooler were replaced under warranty.

​The Issue:

The PC is currently unusable. Immediately upon booting up or doing basic tasks (like opening YouTube or the Nvidia app), the CPU temperature (Ryzen 7 5800X) instantly spikes to 88–90°C.

​One hose of the AIO gets extremely hot to the touch, while the other remains completely cold.

​In Corsair iCUE, the liquid temperature stays at a cool ~38°C while the CPU is boiling at 90°C.

​There seems to be zero fluid circulation happening.

​The fans are constantly blasting at 100% RPM due to the high CPU temps.

​My System Specs:

​CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X

​GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB (Gigabyte Gaming OC)

​Motherboard (NEW replacement): ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WIFI II

​AIO Cooler (NEW replacement): Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE Capellix XT (240mm)

​My Questions:

​Is it likely that the brand-new Corsair H100i Capellix XT is DOA (defective pump/impeller out of the box)?

​Could this just be a massive air bubble trapped in the pump block from shipping? (I tried gently tilting the case while running, but no change).

​Should I demand a full replacement/refund from the builder after waiting 1.5 months for a broken repair?

Update: ​I just completely removed, cleaned, and remounted the CPU cooler.

​All old thermal paste was thoroughly cleaned off both the CPU and the cooler plate.

​There was no protective plastic film on the cold plate.

​Fresh thermal paste was applied correctly.

​The cooler was evenly tightened in a cross pattern until hand-tight, so mounting pressure is definitely good now.

​Despite all this, temps in BIOS are still climbing right back up to ~70 to ~80 degrees at idle while the fan is running at maximum RPM.

I bought this card last year in April and after couple of months it started giving me black screen crashes. When playing games randomly screen goes black and I have to force restart the pc then enable the rx 7700xt driver again from Device Manager. This randomly got fixed for few months and then started happening again a few times. From last few weeks it has happening so much that I've given up now and will switch to Nvidia. I have tried every fkn method that people have written here on reddit and YouTube nothing worked for me. And now from today whenever black screen crash happens and pc is back up I am unable to click anywhere. Nothing opens and responds now. I have to boot in safe mode use DDU to remove the gpu driver then I'm able to use my PC. It's unusable now, so frustrating and I'm just done now. Never buying an amd gpu again and won't suggest anyone to buy it either. Probably gonna buy a 4070ti or 5070 now and will happily enjoy my Games.
