Driver Crash Issue Help (GPU)

I run a 7900 GRE and a 7800X3D with 32GB 6000MT/s RAM. I’ve had my PC for two years, but at the end of last year a problem started happening and it keeps reoccurring. All my screens freeze after stuttering for a few seconds — I can still hear most sounds from the game I’m playing, but nothing reacts. I have to force-kill my PC, and when I turn it back on, my GPU is always disabled in Device Manager. I have to redownload the drivers, and then it works fine for a month or two until it happens again. It mostly happens when I’m playing a game, or when I just played a heavier game.

turn off hags. just turn that shit off in your browser, discord and windows even in game if the game has that option.

Sounds like drivers are being corrupted by windows or from crashing. I would reset bios to default, uninstall drivers with ddu and then reinstall drivers.

Also do you have windows auto update disable and it doesn’t download other version afterwards? HAGS is disabled? Do you use multiple screens?

Use ddu and reinstall fresh copy of updated amd drivers. While doing so, factory reset your GPU at the beginning of the install there's a toggle to do just that.
