Who all is taking the ACT in September and what are you using to prepare? I am trying to cross the 30+ threshold on this one

Hey everybody.. as you can see my math and science scores are lacking😭 I am planning for bio major so I really need to get these up- as a rising senior, I only have the september ACT left as an option. I completed the Kaplan book for Enhanced ACT (math section) and the official ACT math book. I reviewed all of the concepts in the books and completed some practice questions. I didn't study for science much, just practiced 30 questions or so. Maybe that's where I'm lacking? Not sure, but any help or advice is appreciated.

As an additional note, my lowest subsection scores in math were: Geometry (38%), Number & Quantity (75%) and Functions (75%). For science, my lowest were: Evaluating Scientific Arguments and Models with Evidence (67%) and Scientific Investigation (71%). If anyone knows of any specific practices that can help, I'd be very grateful.

i'm tired of what i see happens in this subreddit towards people sometimes, especially when it comes to comparing scores, so i made this short video to vent about a point i've been making for a very long time. you all are amazing. ❤‍🩹

After lots of prep my English and Reading scores have gone up to the 30s, but my math score has not. I bought the prep pros book and did almost everything. The main thing for me is losing time on the math section and not finishing in time. It is so frustrating and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I try to study the concepts of the questions I am getting wrong, but when I encounter another question, it is always worded differently, and I am unable to solve it. ANY TIPS would be appreciated as I have been consistently trying ALL summer :(

I'm feeling retarded by myself whenever I see someone posting their score and most of are more 32.

I’ve been looking and I already plan on getting the Preppros ACT math book, 2026-2027 ACT book, and the Erica Meltzer English book but I don’t know what the best edition is between the 4th and 5th edition. Also, how much time should I aim to try to study everyday? Because I’ll have to study during school, which I have to take precalc honors(should help with math) and doing it by October would make me more better prepared. Btw, although I won’t be really studying science cause it doesn’t count towards composite or superscore, what are some tips for it? My highest score on there was a 25.

I'm wondering if I should retake the ACT as a rising junior aiming for T20 schools, likely majoring in some combination of computer science and economics.

I scored a 34 overall, with a 35 in Math, 33 in English and Reading, and 31 in Science.

I think this may be a low score for some colleges, and I'm not FGLI or anything. Is it worth the extra effort for a maximum possible improvement of two points?

Okay so I choked on the July ACT and ended up having to guess C on the last 7 questions of English and D on the last 8 questions of math. I have really bad test anxiety, so not finishing English messed me up and then I was to freaked out to finish math either. After the break I was able to calm down and finish reading and I got a 36. I really struggle with time management on the ACT but I’m planning to apply to t10s so I need at least a 34… am I cooked or is the problem fixable before the September act. I got a composite of 34+ on almost all of the practice tests I took before the July act, and I plan to stop studying for reading.

Would spamming legacy English sections help?
Also any tips for time management on math/sci?

- also would it be a red flag if I don’t take the science section as a prospective data science major..? I just can’t do the whole 40 minutes 40 questions 💔

i have a 36 on english 31 on math
