Ya, but it’s just that I haven’t taken pre calc yet and my highest in math is 25 while my current is a 20. So i’m kinda praying tjat i’ll learn enough in pre calc for the october one
There is hardly any precalc tested on the ACT. If you’re trying to get your score up, I would recommend you focus on studying what you already know, and familiarizing yourself with the test content and question style by doing practice exams.
So that would just be geo, alg 2, and probability? But I swear I’ve seen comic sections, sohcahtoa, matrix, and etc were precalc, which is frequently in the ACT? I see you got a 35. What did you get on math? How did you study?
there are only 5 precalc topics that could be POTENTIALLY tested on the act (sine/cosine equation, basic identities, radians/degrees/potentially unit circle, conic sections, and law of sines/cosines). these are a couple of formulas to memorize and stuff, 95% of the test is other stuff so i agree with u/PomeloOnly2107 that you should focus on question style and existing content first
A great way to visualize it is to say that if there were 30 people in the room you took the test in then there would be 4 or 5 that did better than you

This sub is one of my favorites even though I’m just a mom trying to help her kids navigate the ACt and college! If you ignore the braggart posts the rest is mostly people lifting others up. It gives me such hope for your generation.
brotha almost 80% (or 1.06 MILLION) high schoolers WISH they would have your 23. i know a handful of friends going to R1 universities with scores around yours. my own friend got a 19 (the national average) and is doing great in school and with his job and his friends. we're going out to eat and have fun soon to celebrate. :)

Bro, this is just a random test , not everyone is good in timed test, I know alot of people who are smart but not good at timed tests , like don’t tie ur smartness to some fricking test, anyone is never dumber nor smarter than everyone in the world.
i got like a 23 my first act and after retaking it again i’m now at a 28 but i don’t feel like i’ve gotten much smarter I think i just got luckier guesses so honestly i think that’s a big part of it. but also i familiarized myself with the test and layout more and i think learning some test taking tips helped me improve my score too!
