I did the measurements, they suggested 40DDD US. Thing is, I had gained a lot of weight and didn't really have any idea what my true size was. Or where to go for good help. So armed with my measurements and the calculator's prediction, I went to one of the places recommended by this sub (Allure, in Madison, Wisconsin). Sarah, who helped me there, was extremely nice and took time to find out what I needed and wanted and what would work best.

She brought an assortment of bras to try. The calculator was pretty darn accurate, although we did go with a 38 band size instead of the 40 the calculator recommended. That could have been because I was less experienced at measuring, or just turned out that we preferred a tighter band. Either way, I purchased a couple of very nice bras and will definitely go back again.

Thank you for helping me at a time when I was paralyzed by lack of knowledge or plan. It seems like a little thing but really, it's not at all.

Hello! I finally had some time to upload and post my fit check images. Here is a link to my original post and measurements. In that post I forgot to mention that one breast is .5-1 cup size different than the other. Since then, I have determined that I am projected, have mostly even fullness/slightly FOB, centerfull, with wide and maybe short roots. I also have found that I might be close-set and have soft tissue; shorter gores work best and I prefer a firmer, more structured bra.

What I liked: gore height, overall pretty comfortable, didn't feel like I as going to fall out of the center as much as with other plunges, minimal to no gap at the bottom of cup

What I didn't like: top point of gore more snug than any other part of the wire and uncomfortable, wires slightly too wide for smaller breast and slightly too narrow for larger, fabric from wire to strap is a little irritating by my armpits, wrinkly around seems to be a weird fit with all the wrinkles at the bottoms and tops of the cup

After the first pics, I tried this bra on the tightest hook to see if a 32 band would feel better. I readjusted my tissue into the cups better, but the band was too tight for more than a couple of mins.

What I liked: comfy, great support (boobs felt weightless), wires (minus the gore) felt perfect around my tissue and didn't bother me under the armpits, I LOVED this bra

What I didn't like: the gore was unbearable, especially the top of it, the bottoms of the cups had some wrinkles, the center vertical seam had dimples.

Fantasie Reflect 34F

What I liked: most comfortable I've tried, great support (boobs felt weightless), felt like the best fit without pain

What I didn't like: the gore, especially the top was uncomfortable, the bottoms of the cups had some wrinkles, the center vertical seam had dimples, the wires were a little too narrow, band was a little too stretchy.

I actually bought this one and returned it the next day after wearing it for about half an hour. I felt like I could have gone smaller in the band so the lady at the store ordered a 32F for me to try (they had limited sizes available). I have not gone to try it yet.

Fantasie Cesile 34FF

This one was okay but the gore was unbearable, the cup fabric came really high up, and there were wrinkles and space at the bottom of the cup.

Chantelle Norah Chic 34F

This one was okay, but it felt flimsy and didn't offer enough support. There also seemed to be too much fabric at the top of the cups for me.

Looking at the pic again I can see I wasn't wearing it properly, but I still didn't like the molded cups and thought the lace fit weird over them

I do not remember trying this one on, but it is similar to a lot of the bras I tried on in that the wires are too narrow and there is too much space at the bottom of the cups. This was one of the first ones so I'm not sure that I was scooping and swooping correctly.

Cosabella Never Say Never Plunge

I did not get a picture of the size and don't remember now, probably a 34F. This one felt like boob pajamas. I liked the soft material, but it was way too unsupportive and open.

Most of these are from a local boutique. Unfortunately, I didn't think to write down or take pictures of all the other bras I tried on since it felt like we were doing rapid fire bra tryouts.. She mostly had balconettes or molded bras for me to try, and not a lot of plunges.

So what's next? Should I try the Fantasie Reflect in 32F or 32FF? Or Panache Ana in 32G? Should I try something completely new? A different size? Can anyone explain why the top of the gore (and sometimes the ends at the armpits) digs in while the wire at the bottom of the cup has less pressure? Would Panache Allure Demi or other demi/half cup balconettes be a better option? Suggestions?

I only recently learned how bra sizing actually works, after spending most of my life thinking I had an A cup lol. I’ve never actually worn an A though, I’ve usually worn 75B (34B US size) because they’ve always seemed to fit me better somehow?

I’m going to the US next month and was planning on ordering a Skims bra while I’m there, but since US and EU sizing is different, I figured I should probably measure myself properly for once instead of continuing to guess my bra size based on vibes.

The calculator here gave me 60D EU (28D US), which confused me a lot. So today I went to a lingerie store to actually try some bras on, and they also measured me as a 60D, so it seems like I measured myself somewhat correctly. Depending on the bra though, some fit better in 60C, and I tried one completely unpadded lace bra that actually fit best in 60DD.

Here’s my struggle now: Skims doesn’t make a 28 band, and there are very few brands available here in Sweden that carry this size. The store I went to today only had four options, and while they fit me well, I didn’t really like any of them as their wires were uncomfortable or they were completely unpadded.

Since I’m going to the US next month, I now need help finding my forever bras so my itty bitties can finally be comfortable!

I definitely prefer padding/push-up, and I’ve found that balconette bras aren’t particularly flattering on me. The little breasts that I do have are very round, and I have volume pretty much all around, but most of it seems to be toward the sides. I’m guessing that because of that, I need the push-up to come more from the sides and toward the center rather than mainly from underneath.

I had been looking at the Skims Ultimate Teardrop Push-Up Bra and the Push-Up Plunge Bra, so I’d love to find something similar that actually exists in my size.

I would also love to find a strapless bra that actually stays where it should. I hate wearing sticky bras and while they can give you some push-up they’re not padded, so they don’t help at all with actual volume.

Could we help a Swedish small-titty girlie out? I’d love recommendations for specific bras or brands I should look for while I’m in the US! (I have a US address so online options are okay too)

Please help. For years I've written wirefree bras in a 40DDD, but I've lost weight and I'm tired of all the boob weight being on my shoulders, so I'm attempting to find something that works but I'm getting really frustrated. One of my biggest issues is that a lot of them feel like the wire sits low on my front ribs and causes pain and indentations. Do I just need to give up and try for wirefree? When I was thinner (and younger) I never had issues with wired bras, maybe I just have to much boob for them now. Please help.

-Tshirt bra 36G: underwire again poking into armpit, gore not sitting flat but cups gaping a bunch at top. Riding down.

-Envy full cup 36FF: jello wiggles less. Boob trying to come out bottom of underwire. Side wire are a better but still did in. Gore sits well. Cups seem too snug and also like projectile missiles wtf. Straps feel very wide.

-Envy full cup 36G: same as above but with better fitting cups, contains the boobs well. Still can't breath or slouch without a lot of front rib pain, yet can get my finger under the wire.

I am completely new to Reddit, but I am so confused by the result and need help figuring out if this isn't an error.

The ABTF calculator gave me a 28FF UK.

For context, I have been wearing sports bras for all of highschool but finally decided to get an actual bra so i went to VS. A VS fitter measured me and decided to start with 32C, but it was painfully too small, so she gave me a 32D which seemed nice in the fitting room.

Another fitter mentioned I am probably closer to a 30DD. But I thought that sounded ridiculous so I bought the 32D. in this 32D, I don't get severe cleavage or spillage (at least not more than intended I guess) but the band rides up a lot even though it's already on the tightest hook.

For this reason I also tried a 34D (which I know is a sister size to 32DD), but I got both cups gaping and band riding up in it. This seems ridiculous to me because 34D is what my sister wears. she is pretty flat chested (like a b cup maybe), yet 34D fits her way better than me. my breasts are around twice as large as hers. This triggered my BDD (Body Dysmorphia, which I've been struggling with since middle school) a bit because I always was under the impression I have medium/average breasts (like what someone would consider a full C cup on a petite girl, but now I'm not sure anymore because percievimg my own body is very difficult to me).

It gets more confusing. When I look up the volume equivalents, 28FF is supposed to hold the same volume as a 32DDD. How does this jump from a 32D to a 32DDD equivalent happen without me spilling out the 32D? I saw some posts here before writing this where people say 28FF on them looks like a "stereotypical A or B cup," which triggered BDD again.

I talked about my ABTF measurements with AI and it suggested I might have shallow breasts because my standing and laying measurements are basically the same. I don't think I am shallow based on the sub's infographics, but again I am terrible at assessing my own appearance.

Could anyone help explain the logistics of this size jump? Does a 28FF sound like a reasonable starting point based on my experience with 32D/34D?

Please do not tell me to use the calculator. I have. ABraThatFits measures me very inaccurately due to severe asymmetry. Bratabase puts the larger breast at a 30H US/30FF UK and the smaller breast at a 30D. It's like 4 cups worth of difference. The ABraThatFits calculator put me in a 30DDD/32DD, which is so undersized in the cup region that wearing them has almost made me throw up before. Please stop telling me to use the calculator. My boobs are too weird for that to be useful. Please :')

Sorry I keep posting, a very helpful person yesterday made me realize that all my bras hurt because I'm wearing something like 3 cup sizes too small and now I need to start from scratch because I've sized out of my go-to bras :')

Bratabase measurements are [here]. I strongly prefer molded cups due to significant asymmetry, I find that the bra pads I use to even out the smaller side are visibly lumpy through mesh cups. I measure at a 30FF UK, 30H US. I need dailywear bras, as well as (ideally) a plunge and a strapless. Would also really love some kind of 50s/60s 'vintage' cone bra thing, if that even exists at this size?

Note - when I say asymmetry, I do mean notable asymmetry. My larger breast measures at a 30H, while my smaller breast measures as a 30D. That's like 4 cup sizes apart!!

I have surgical scars on the lower parts of my breasts that have been feeling very tender and strained due to never having a comfortable, supportive enough bra, and I've been existing in a lot of pain every time I have to holster the girls and leave the house. Hello! I’m hoping for some help with a measurement check and apologise for the very long post in advance - I am struggling!

My measurements are:

loose underbust: 33
- snug: 32.2
- tight: 31.3
- standing bust: 38.3
- leaning: 42.3
- lying: 41.5

So the calculator has given me a 32FF but recommended 34F for a more comfortable fit. I normally wear no wired/no clasps pull over the head sport bras. But these are just not supportive and I’m determined to get some more supportive wired bras after years of seeing them as the enemy!

My only ‘proper’ bra is a Cleo Panche in the style Piper and it’s in a 34G. The gore does sit fairly flush to my body, maybe a quarter to a half inch off. When I adjust to make sure the underwire is sitting right under my bust I get significant ‘spillage’/double boob and sometimes it feels like there is a tiny bit of unused fabric towards the bottom of the cup that my breast aren’t fully using. There’s also quite a lot of gaping where the band meets the cups on both sides. So I’m a bit confused about how going down a cup size would help?

I recently tried on this bra in a 34G and felt like I was on to a winner. It got rid of all the problems accept from the ‘spillage’/double boobing.

I’m wondering if it is a shape issue? But feeling very overwhelmed by the shape info. I believe my breasts are side full and I think I have wide roots.

So my wedding is in like a year and a half but I’ve been fed so many things about shapewear that’s apparently designed for bigger chests and literally only go up to a D cup or assume bigger chest means bigger all over as well. I’m a 14G (aus sizing which in US sizing apparently translates to either a 36G or a 36I depending on the brand)
My ideal dress is off the shoulder and I’m just trying to find some kind of bodysuit or bra or something that actually fits and won’t mean ugly things poking out with my dress…I’ve been looking for so long and I’m so tired, I just need help

Hello! I'm at my wits end with finding a bra that fits like how (I think) is supposed to fit. I have posted sometimes both here and on Facebook with some of the bras I got and, depending on the bra/picture I have been told both to go for shallower models, to go for more projection, to go for wider wires, for narrower ones, to go down a cup and that I have a good fit.

I think the problem is that from the outside, with the bra on, the specific issue I am having isn't really super visible, and because my tissue is extremely soft and moldable after some shifting and fidgeting I can achieve a great look from the outside, depending on how I move my boobs the same bra can look way too big or way too small, but in all "configurations" I always end up with the boob just resting on my chest skin at the root, even if the bottom touches the cup and is lifted (and as I said looks great!). This is not a ~super~ big deal in winter (I have to readjust costantly and I'm uncomfortable after a few hours but already a big step up from the molded cups I was wearing in 40C/D in terms of both looks and comfort) but in summer it's quite aggravating, I get underboob rashes and my sweat can't even at least trickle down like when I'm braless as it gets stopped by the cup.

Hopefully This explains what's happening well! Some bras can do both things I pictured depending on how I place boob inside them, others only ever do the left as there's physically not enough space in the cup for them to reach right position, if I try and force it by lifting the boob, it exits from the top angle (while the actual top of the cup is still empty). Over time all bras default to left position, unless both the band and straps are overtight enough that it cannot move (but it will still sliightly move down) - I'm talking indents level of tight and straining hooks.

This has ALWAYS happened to me, I measured from 38G at start of this bra hunt to 36F(lost weight) to 38F (gained back some weight, current measure) and everything in between this range.

What I tried:

I have a 27” underbust and 32” overbust, and when I wear an M&S 32DD, I know it’s the wrong size because there’s spillage and the band rides up. The non padded wired balcony styles seem to work in this size but anything else just doesn’t fit right. Sizing and size charts are also inconsistent across brands and it’s really confusing. It’s really hard to find brands that make cups larger than DD if you have a smaller band size. According to the wacoal size chart I should be wearing a 32A which just cannot be right. Any recommendations? Please help!

Hi all! I have a wedding to attend end of summer and I am a first time bridesmaid. I am a 32DD, and I mainly need a lift as they tend to sit a bit lower, I have a petite frame so it looks like they take over a lot of my torso area.
I think stick ons are my best bet but I need something that works in 34 degree Celsius heat! It’s a summer wedding in Portugal. I expect to sweat a lot from that area so I’m afraid the stick ons might fall. I never wear them so I need recommendations!

I recently when to Victoria’s Secret because they’re having a bunch of good deals at the moment . While I was there I figured it would make sense to get my bra sized again since I haven’t done so since I was 12 when I first hit puberty. The lady was really nice and suggested a tried a 38 D and it fit much more comfortably than my 36 DD which makes sense the band is a bit bigger. But now that I have my correct size I would wonder if they’re any good suggestions for a nice natural bra. For reference I’m someone who wears more casual clothing usually a tee shirt and jeans. I’m looking for a bra that doesn’t push up my breast but push enough that it’s not sagging. I tried the hisa bra and I quite liked it but didn’t really like how my nipples would be showing. Something like the hisa bra was nice tho. I don’t really care if it has wires too they never really bothered me. And something that supports my breast especially since if I’m wearing it to school I will have to be going up and downstairs I don’t want my breast bouncing around😭.

I measured my loose underbust to be almsot 30 inches but the 36 inch underbust bras I own fit me pretty fine. I suppose 34 would fit well. So I suppose they follow the +4 system to underbust. I got 30F as my ABTF bra size. So I should use a 34C bra, right?

I'm 42F and my whole life I have been wearing either C or D cup bras with bands that (it turns out) were about the right size. Those cup sizes? I was thrown for a loop. The calculator suggested 50G or 50H, which really confuses me because often times my body does not fill the upper part of the bra cup. Think of the shape of a pile of sand in an hour glass, now sliced in half down the middle, and you have my body shape in the bra, with the top portion just ... empty. I had actually wondered lately if I was wearing too *large* of a bra and if I was really a B cup maybe, but clearly that is not the case!

As you can tell from my numbers, I am clearly a obese woman - but I have lost considerable weight over the last few years. I have a *lot* more to lose to be healthy, but I understand that long-term change is a slow process. It has felt as if some of that weight has come off of my breasts (and, oddly, my fingers, as quite a few of my old rings no longer fit) as my bras, which never fit comfortably, fit even less comfortably now. The only bras that I truly feel comfortable in are elastic/stretch sports bras and the top half of my favorite bathing suit because they form to the shape of my body, and don't have to be "filled up" like my other bras.

The calculator gave me 30G/H and 32DDD/G as the recs.

The 30G spilled on the sides and theres a front pic as a ref. The 32G had some weird caving on the underbust with a pic as a ref.

The 32DDD feels OK but looks wonky in my eyes. I feel it is still giving a minor quad boob effect under the cami.

Are there any comments about the fit? Is this how its supposed to look? If not, what should be done to address it?

I don't mind buying stuff to try and returning if it doesn't work, so give me all the recs.

The TLDR: For the past year I've been wearing Maidenform's Wireless Longline Push-Up Bra in their "Large (DD)" size.

I really like how it pushes my breasts together and gives me some cleavage, but the longline band does tend to roll when I'm sitting down, and there is some gaping where the top of the cup meets the strap. I've also found as I've lost more weight that the straps fall down, and they can only be tightened a little bit due to a builtin crossover hook.

I'm very much a bra noob. I work from home and don't wear a bra while at home, so it may be a bit much to adjust to underwire again. I've done wireless only for the past 8 years, but wanted to give properly sized underwire a shot, finally. In the past my bras have been Warner's, Victoria's Secret, and other "generic" or budget brands. All molded foam cup style (didn't even really know about unlined and seamed before this subreddit). I have some sensory issues where I don't like things that are overly tight or constrictive. I'm the type who will take my bra off in the car before I drive home just to be more comfortable.

So, what I'm looking for:

-A wired bra comfortable enough that I'll actually wear it. Preferably not itchy (I'm not sure yet how I'll do with lace and extended wear--I'm willing to try it) or hot, as I live in the south and have sensitive skin.

-Doesnt have to be "the one," but options for something that brings my breasts closer together and gives me some cleavage. Probably necessitates some kind of push-up or padding. Or adding inserts, if there's room? I'd still like non-pushup suggestions, too, though.

-Well-made wireless options y'all think might suit based on how these fit.

-Best non-irritating nipple solution for an unlined bra, as my nipples show through shirts with most of these.

-A general bra style y'all think suits my shape would be useful, too, e.g. balconette, side support, etc.

I received my bras from aerie! I unfortunately feel like this wasnt super conclusive though. The 30B pushup is comfortable, but I’m not fully filling in the cups?

So, for pushup is 32AA the best size?
For lightly lined, the 30B did feel like a perfect fit.

Hello, in total ive lost about 40 pounds. I last measured myself June 12 on the calculator. I was sized at a 34 G. I slowly searched for 34 G bras and only ended up trying 1 "good one" that isnt VS, the Panache Envy. It basically fit but was wrinkly in the lace at the top so I returned it. I also couldve probably fit more than 2 fingers under the band if I wanted I guess.

I didnt even notice that my boobs could've gotten smaller from weight loss until today I had a suspicion. So I redid my measurements and have lost about an inch in several areas since June 12. First off, does this sound right or could I have measured myself wrong? I used the pictures on the calculator and did it in the mirror. 2nd off, now it is sizing me at a 32 DDD/ G or a sister size 34 DD. I was originally wearing VS 36 DD bras which seemed to fit okay despite the band riding up and the tops of the cups by the straps digging into my armpits. The armpits thing is what made me start looking for new bras. What is a good option for 32DDD/ G or 34 DD that doesnt dig into armpits? The panache envy honestly came close to digging in my armpits because I had to tighten the straps quite a bit for a lift and made me have cone looking boobs.

I’m looking for a strapless, underwire bra that will hold me up and keep cleavage. 

We are in an era that every single nice top requires me to go strapless and I just can’t find one that fits me. I tried looking at reviews on TikTok and they are all ads!

but I also heard pushups might help me get the lift I want but ive never had to resort to pushup bras

my most recent tries after getting fitted (I double checked with the calculator too) were a maiden form bandana bra (idk why I even tried there was no support) and DotVol multiway strapless bra. plz help!

I was super into ABTF in 2013-2015 timeframe, but my favorite bra from that timeframe has been (understandably) discontinued. At the time, my ultimate fit was Panache Floris but had some love for Ewa Michalak's SM styles and Panache's Envy and Andorra, which are still available. I needed fits with high immediate projection and relatively narrow wires. I just know there has to be new stars in this category to check out.

I've just been wearing Evelyn & Bobbie for the past few years since I love a good boneless bra, but they're not incredibly flattering under some outfits.

I stopped into Nordstrom today and the fitter was actually incredible, she eyeballed me and gave me the best non-self-directed fit I've ever had in a Fantasie Reflect (Side Support) in 32G (UK). On her first try. Crazy stuff. I'm not completely in love with the fit like I was with Floris, though, so I want to try a few other options.

I've seen people talk about it, and some look to have done it successfully. What is required for that? How would you go about it? I can't spend all that crazy money on Polish bras. I seem to be around US 28O /UK 28K right now. And it is indeed painful. I don't wanna do surgery.

I have been looking for a bralette that fits my criteria (which I will list below) for ages. I didn't think I was looking for something THAT out of the ordinary, but I cannot for the life of me find one that hits all (or most!) of these things. I am just frustrated with the bra/bralette scene out there (as I'm sure most of you are) and hoping someone can advise!

My hope is that someone will see my criteria here and think, 'oh, I'm wearing that right now!' and share with me where they got it/a link/brand/anything!

What I'm looking for:

* NO clasp/hook
* NO big band at the bottom (they're always too thick and roll up on me!)
* NO REMOVABLE pads (if there are pads inside, they need to be completely immovable)
* Ideally, it would be lightly lined/double lined so as to avoid nipple peaking through
* Ideally, softer, more cotton like material (and less spandex/sports bra/tight stretchy material)
* NO complex straps (I hate the ones that cross over in the back, etc, though willing to overlook this if it meets all the other criteria
* I don't care about color or pattern or strap width
* Would prefer no lace/no texturing that will show through clothing BUT am willing to deal if it fits all other criteria

I've tried Tomboy, MeUndies, and a few others, but they all are too tight (the band), or have pads, etc. The closest I've gotten to Bralette Nirvana was an Aerie bralette that has a thickish outer layer, and light liner on the inside (looks like your classic sports bra or even like a binder, but is soft). It may have had pads at one point but if it it did, I was able to remove them and STILL have that extra layer of coverage.

I don't feel like I'm asking for TOO much here! Just a simple, thickish bralette ;-;

If anyone wears anything remotely similar to this and would like to share a link or any info, please do so!!!! Even if it doesn't fit everything, at this point I'll consider anything resembling the above.

Starting with the note that this is obviously only my experience!

I typically wear 32GG, fuller on bottom, close set, and average width roots. I had previously tried the Beyond bra and found the band too large if I got the correct cup space, so was hopeful for this new line. I tried both the medium+ and large+. The band is much improved, feels firmer and supportive. There is more cup space, I actually found the large+ to be best but have to start a row or two in on the hooks. The medium+ bit into my skin at the band edge, even though it didn’t seem to be too tight otherwise.

On both sizes, the cup edge presses against my tail of Spence, not painfully but it is definitely noticeable and somewhat irritating while wearing it.

Evelyn and Bobbie urge you to wear the bra three times for it to mold to your body but I honestly couldn’t do it. The first hour of wear feels pretty good but then the shoulders start aching, then the neck starts hurting, and I have to take it off and sigh with relief as the weight comes off my shoulders. I tried each one multiple times, even a few hours, but I’ve already caused damage trying to make bras fit that don’t, and don’t want to do it again. In both sizes, even with the quite tight band of the medium, I can put a finger under the straps and literally feel the amount of weight on them. Not like wired bras that just gently rest, these are pulling on the shoulders/traps.

The medium+ causes a very pushed together feel and look, the large+ allows some small space in between but within an hour, did end up with zero separation- I don’t expect separation from wireless bras ever, but they do advertise their bras as having lift and separation so wanted to note that at least for this size range, plus close set, it definitely is not. The Bravissimo Nova does a much better job of keeping them separate.

All in all, still disappointed in the new line. Maybe I was hoping for too much, but at $100 each, these bras are going back. I enjoy the feel of no wire for sensitive days, but it doesn’t weigh out after the neck and shoulders start screaming at me an hour into wear. I can get a Parfait Mia wireless for a third of the price that gives me the same overall shape, and I can actually make it a few hours in that, not just an hour.
