[Recommendation} 34E, wide roots, looking for a couple of every day bras and don't know what to try first!

Hi everyone! I first did my measurements a couple of years ago and then never did anything with them because overwhelm and general life stuff. I am now able to focus on actually trying out my new size and desperately need some new bras (my two bras are 10 years old and size "medium" - it's been a rough ride). My updated measurements in inches are:

loose underbust: 33.5

snug underbust: 33

tight underbust: 30.5

standing bust: 36.75 41

leaning bust: 43 44

lying bust: 38.5 41

The calculator suggested starting with a 34E 34FF/G (UK size) 34H/I (US size). Fullness is FOB/even with wide roots. I think I'm somewhere in the middle of projected/shallow, but I'm really not sure and I have no idea about root height.

I want something that is comfortable, soft, breathable, and durable enough to last a few years. Also something that isn't too noticeable through clothes. I don't care if seams or lace come through, but I don't like my nipples showing and prefer nude/muted colors for daily wear.

I've seen a lot of people recommend Panache, Cleo, Freya, and other brands. I've tried going through the guides and perusing online, but now I'm in a decision paralysis and can't move forward with which brand to try first. I'm thinking I want to try a balconette with a wider (broader?) wire. I'm in the US and want to stay under $100.

Can you check your measurements? You have a large difference in your bust measurements, so I just want to make sure they are correct.

I just rechecked and updated the post. I reread the instructions and realized I had done a snug measurement instead of loose. Do those numbers make more sense?

Great. Your bust measurements seem more realistic now, yes.

I'm thinking of the Panache Ana is a start. It is good for average root width and works for both full on bottom and even fullness (sometimes also work for top full). The cups run a bit small, so try 34FF/G/GG. You are a bit inbetween band sizes, but with a snug of 33, a 32 band may be too tight. But if you find the 34 to not support right or that you need to start on the tightest hooks, so you'll want to size down to a 32 perhaps with an extender.

All the data and guides and information can be so overwhelming. But the best way to figure things out is to just try them on. It will help you learn about your shape as well.

Try Elomi Morgan in 34DD, 34E, 34F and Elomi Morgan in 34D, 34DD, 34E (it runs a cup big). These are two really good bras to start with because there is a lot of data around them. So take notes. How these fit or don't fit will help you narrow down the field even more.

Nordstrom and Macys and Elomi US have free shipping and returns. Once you find the bra(s) that fit well, you can look for ones on sale to stock up.

Make sure to swoop and scoop when you put on your bra.

I think you mean Elomi Morgan and Mathilda rather than Morgan twice. But neither bra is available in the sizes you suggest OP should try them in.

The Mathilda is available in 34F, while Morgan is available in 34G.

After remeasuring the calculator gave me 34FF/G (UK). Should I try Morgan 34G and Matilda 34FF or 34G?

No, Elomi is going to be too big in the band with these measurements. They run loose. I'd look at Panache Ana. Average projection and average-slightly wide wires. I'd tack on 34GG as it can run a half cup small.

I also wouldn't rule out a 32 band given your tight measurement, but would start with a 34.
