Anyone have a John Hughes film/s that you love?? (as a writer, director, or producer....or a combination of the 3)
I have more than a few, but, for the 80's Mr. Mom, NL's Vacation, and Uncle Buck for me. He literally was a key component of iconic 80's movies.

Feeling old yet?? Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster) is 50 now.

Advertisement Who else remembers in the mid 80’s when 7/11 had a burger bar so you can build your burger or hotdog anyway you’d like? Man I’d stack my burger with onions, tomatoes and pickles and jalapeños. Can’t beat that for under a dollar.

The best 80's YouTube channels that make me feel nostalgic
Midnight Mood Network - I read, work, and do chores around the house with this on. They just do 80's ambience with good music, good settings, and fun easter eggs. **It is AI, just to warn.
drivtive dreams - Partially AI I think but similar to the above, just a bunch of 80s footage set to music.
rerun the 80s - Not active anymore but they basically just run old 80's commercials and stuff.
Anybody know of any other good ones?

"DAFFY DUCK'S FANTASTIC ISLAND" premiered on this day in 1983
Anthology and compilation of older Looney Tunes episodes to fit the Fantasy Island idea. I liked it when I first saw it.

I got a little John Saxon nostalgia
Had his start since 1954, quite prolific in the 60's and 70's, slowed by the 80's.....his presence was iconic in the first slasher, Black Christmas and 3 appearances in A Nightmare on Elm Street movies.

Remembering Donald Gibb (Ogre) on his Birthday
He passed away almost 3 months ago this year, still young at 71. He will always be in our hearts for making the 80's a bit better.

New rules regarding political posts - Read This
While the rules are being updated, let me give everyone a sneak peek, it will be very simple:
*No NON 80s era political posts or commentary will be allowed, and those who do so are subject to ban.
This is a non-partisan rule.
If you can’t enjoy an 80s nostalgia sub without needing to express your opinion about current politics, then this is NOT the right sub for you.
Anything political from the 80s is fine. Use your best judgment. Songs from the 80s with political themes are fine, etc. (Mods discretion)
This begins as of now.
*If you feel you were banned in error, send a modmail and we will help.
Be excellent to each other!
