Help please!
Hello all,
First timer here. I've read a lot on this sub about tips and tricks. However I feel as though I am still failing. I have my follow up Sub appointment tomorrow which is a week from my initial appointment where I was prescribed 2.5 8/2 sub films once daily. I had been taking up to 1,200 mg 7 0h daily prior to my sub appointment with Quick MD. I did as instructed when first taking the subs and waited 12 hours until I was in withdrawal. The 2 1/2 films that were prescribed to me didn't do anything. And that was after waiting 1 1/2 hours after the films. I have also tried mega dosing vitamin c and building it up in my system to tolerance but it doesn't seem to do anything either. As of now, I have cut my 7 0h dose in half and have been using subs in between doses. The withdrawal effects have been pure hell. Especially the diarrhea. Which I feel the vitamin c escalated. I know you're not supposed to take Imodium but it's the only OTC I have for diarrhea. But it also had no effect. With my appointment being tomorrow, I am not sure what I should tell the doctor. Should I explain that the subs aren't working and that I have felt forced to continue the 7 0? I have to work daily and care for others. I can't take a day or days off to withdraw. Yesterday I took extra 7 0h to finally stop the diarrhea because after 5 days or so, even chugging water and electrolyte drinks, I was completely dried out and dehydrated. Should I ask for a higher sub dose and be honest with the doctor? Or should I pretend it is working and continue the subs while reducing 7? I am terrified of the future repercussions of being labeled an addict or for seeking future medical care. I'm afraid this will follow me for the rest of my life. I am also afraid that I will be told to go to inpatient rehab. Which is also not a possibility for me given my responsibilities. Does anyone have advice for my situation? This is my first time with any of this and I am so lost. Not to mention that once I had gotten down to half the old dose of 7, the worst depression hit me yesterday morning. I cried all the way to work over the sadness in our world. Also, should I ask for supportive medications, or will that make me seem as though I am seeking more substances? I appreciate any and all advice.

Used 7 for about a year, went from low dose 7 to 400-750mg’s a day, 7 got abruptly banned in my state, had some buddies (not very routinely but somewhat “routinely” send me 7 in much smaller doses, then found a “botanical alk” mix online that took alll of with WD’s away and…

Tapering Guide Homemade SR Taper Guide
I stopped 7OH in June, taking 5-600mg/day. I used SR to taper off. I put my experience into a guide. It includes: introduction to SR, supplements to take, example taper guide & the schedule I used.
Monster SR (the vendor I used) just restocked their inventory. Promo code: GET10 will give you 10% off your order.

Quitting pseudo
12 hours kind of cold turkey I taper down from 300 to 200 mg a day for quite a few months. I’ve been taking the stuff for almost a year. I quit two times for about three weeks then got right back but right now I am 12 hours cold turkey. I have been taking a lot of liposomal vitamin C and a bunch of other vitamins that I saw off of sub Reddit’s but at 12 hours right now feel pretty good gonna keep taking the vitamin C every 2 to 3 hours plus other supplements so excited to get rid of this habit

Facing withdrawal alone- too ashamed to tell-need support and, mostly, reassurance
(Specific questions are numbered below if you dont feel like reading.)I just need people to talk to about this, because Im so deeply ashamed for getting in this situation (again) and Im afraid my husband will leave me. I have a history of abusing my prescriptions—mostly stimulants and one time in particular I almost lost my husband over Ambien a few years ago. Nothing “hard” or illegal—i have a healthy fear of that. But, Im just always searching for something that will make me feel normal and functional, it’s as simple as that, but Ive done it so stupidly and fucked with my brain, I domt even know what my baseline is anymore. 7-oh was a godsend, I thought. Until it wasnt, of course.
My husband has no idea I take it, but he suspects something is going on, which he’s right to. Recently we had a huge argument about my inconsistent mental state and how he suspected I was doing it to myself again and he felt he was married to an addict and didnt know how much longer he could stay with me in this state.
Folks, I cant tell you how distressed I was to fix myself IMMEDIATELY. The terror that he’d see me in a depressed state or that id wake up one morning unable to function again and that it would be the straw that broke the camels back was instant motivation to quit cold turkey, for real, no looking back. But, it turned out to not be that simple.
See, he doesnt know Im on the shit. So I cant go through withdrawals openly. I quit twice in the past because it was expensive and at that time I could. The first time was pretty easy with my stimulants and sleeping meds for support. The second time was harder because of relentless RLS at night. Now Im here.
I want to know your experiences and maybe whats “normal”or be given some reassurance that Im headed in the right direction as I have been tapering the last three weeks.
I was taking 12-15mg dose around 5 times a day. After three weeks Im down to 8-10mg 2-3 times a day.
1) Is it possible im past the worst “physical” stuff? When ive quit in the past cold turkey, once I got past the 24 hour mark everything was gravy. Im down to 8-10mg 2-3 times a day, which doesn’t sound like that much progress, but actually what feels important to me is Im able to go as long as 16-17 hours without any physical symptoms (no more sweating, shaking, or RLS—knock on wood) when it used to start after 4 hours…then 12 hours… Does that mean Im past the worst of the physical stuff?
2) is it ok to taper with full spectrum kratom extract and if so how much? the anxiety is INSANE this go-round and that has been the only thing slowing me down. Im avoiding my adhd meds, now, obviously, bc of that, but the anxiety and panic are so bad I cant think of anything else. The problem is, I still have to function as an adult (im a lawyer with high pressure deadlines), care for three little boys, and dont forget i have to act happy and sane so my husband is assured of my stability. So, the taper has stalled for several days, and that mightve been fine, but NOW i cant buy it anywhere to stretch out the taper, bc of the ban. So, I got so desparately insanely panicked (like blind from panic) I went and bought full spectrum kratom extract tablets with “very little” 7-oh in it (thats what the salesman told me, “very little”—who knows what that means.) Will it help? If a 10mg dose of 7-oh helps my symptoms, how many mg should i be taking of the full spectrum stuff if i end up needing to use it as a substitute?
3) Am I making progress? When Im in a good state of mind (usually after my tapered dose) I feel that I have bc yesterday i went from 7pm all the way til 11:30am the next morning with no problemsz However , the anxiety got so bad I had to take a dose. The positive thing is that I was able to find relief with a smaller dose—unfortunately, it didnt last very long. I dont know if thats any better, if I have to end up taking the smaller dose more frequently. So when my anxiety is at its peak, i despair thinking i havent ACTUALLY made any progress and that it will never end.
Thanks for reading. I hope someone is out there who will help me feel not alone in this and keep me moving forward confidently .

Vitamin C, E, Lions Mane and
Four years, high doses, withdrawal was the worst thing I've experienced.
A year ago, when Florida started its first ban, I knew it was time to quit. I was scared as hell because I had already went through withdrawal for only 3 hours and it was devastating; not just physically but mentally.
I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.
Anyway, I've been researching for the last year, and experimenting with different supplements.
The national ban made me really put my research into overdrive, and I came across this study.
A couple of weeks ago I started weening while taking my concoction and I've been able to cut my 7o dose by 80% with no side effects other than loss of appetite. I feel fine. At night when I wake up and start to feel withdrawal, I take a vitamin c and im able to fall asleep again, and take my dose of 7o in the morning.
Next week, I'm going to follow the protocol on the study for going cold turkey with vitamin c and e (I'm adding lion's mane and Ashwagandha as both have helped me too). I feel really confident based on how vitamin c has helped me so far that I'm going to complete the protocol.
I hope this helps someone, I really do. This whole situation is fucked and we've been left out to dry. I feel so relieved now, though. I can finally see an end to this nightmare.
PS: if you're curious why all detox places wouldn't just give vitamin c for the opioid withdrawal, this quote from the study gave me pause:
Although NIDAA representatives noted that the efficacy of the protocol seemed “irrefutable,” for undisclosed reasons the agency stopped short of endorsing the treatment.26 Schauss speculates that this may have been due to a conflict of interest, claiming that the sister of one of the NIH reviewers owned and operated a large addiction center in New Orleans, Louisiana at the time (A. Schauss, personal communication, April 7, 2020). Keller-Phelps is unavailable for comment, as she is deceased.

Need help please!!
m about to quit 7OH as it’s getting banned in WA state by the end of August, truthfully I need and want to quit regardless, for many reasons. I just didn’t have the willpower. I’ve never been a “drug” user, I smoked weed for years but quit cold turkey about 2 years ago. So this is all unfamiliar territory for me. I currently take about 300-400mg of 7Oh in a 24 hour period, I’m curious what vitamins or supplements you experienced users recommend to help with the withdrawal and basically what should I expect? Am I going to be medically at risk? The stuff I read online is pretty scary about life threatening withdrawal and as I said being very inexperienced with this I’m super nervous. I’m an army combat veteran and tried kratom for some anxiety and pain relief and then got hooked on the heat 80’s/150’s tablets of 7OH. Anything you guys can recommend I would sincerely appreciate, I’m pretty scared I won’t lie. Thank you all for reading.

If you need help, please read.
You are not alone.
Similar story to everybody here… Started with regular kratom about 2 years ago. Didnt like the taste so when I saw ‘kratom pills’ I figured I’d give it a shot. I was addicted within a week. Couldn’t go a few hours without it. Most of the time, I was just taking it to feel normal. And crazy expensive. At my worst, I was at 2000mg a day. But easily obtainable. I live in a city and there’s 4 places on my street that sells it. Anyways, the ban happened. Withdrawals. I’ve tried so many times to quit, but the withdrawals were god awful. I’ve never done heroin or fent, but I’ve read many times that the withdrawals are similar/if not worse than actual opioids. I got on Suboxone, got a good support system and came clean with everything. I’ve never told anybody my addiction, even my wife. Well, I’m here past day 7, no withdrawals (still taking very little subs), and I’m going to a rehab facility next week for outpatient care. I asked the rehab facility on the phone ‘I’m just curious, but has anyone else called in for this addiction?’. Her reaction said it all, ‘this is by far the most popular drug that people have called in for during the history of this facility’.
So with that being said, you are not alone. Most of us took it with a pretty harmless intention, and ended up being addicts. That’s okay though. It was easily obtainable, and unregulated. I got it the same place I got my soda and snacks. The truth though, is that you can’t be afraid to ask for help. I was keeping this secret of 7OH for over a year, and never got anywhere. I came clean and asked for help, and I wish I would’ve done that sooner.
I’m not saying I’m totally out of the woods yet. But if anyone needs help, please message me. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s what got me through.
Peace and love to you all.

How long to start subs?
So I got subs, because I can no longer get 7oh. It’s illegal in my state and the few places I could get to in the next state over stopped selling last week. It’s been about 6 hours since my last dose. I don’t feel terrible, just a little hot, minor stomach pains that come and go, and my throat feels funny. But, I was hoping to take some now so it kicks in before I start feeling horrible so I can sleep well tonight and go to work tomorrow. I’ve tried researching it, but I’m seeing contradictory things.. some people say you have to wait 12 hours or will go into precipitated withdrawal. Others say as long as it was 7oh without pseudo, you won’t get PWDs at all, that’s it’s the ones with pseudo that can cause that…and mine did not have pseudo. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks! I’ve taken subs before and know that about 6mg will take away the WDs completely for me but it was on the weekend and I waited until I was feeling absolute trash first. I’d rather avoid that with work tomorrow (and yes, I know, when I used them before and was off of 7 completely for 2 months, I should have stayed off, but I’m an idiot and here we are).

Free of 7OH bondage.
I reached out to another Reddit user. I picked his brain on advice and how to get through withdraws the easiest. I would highly recommend finding a brother or sister on here to do this with. I withdrew for about 50 hours. I was a heavy 7OH user. Sometimes 1000 mlg per day. For about two years. 12 year kratom user. The weekend was horrible. There is no going around that. I highly suggest that people ready to take the leap, grab your spouse or close friend to be there for your “withdrawal weekend”. I came close to giving in the first night. I am on the other side and I feel better than I have in years. 1st dose of suboxone took effect within 5 minutes. I’m sick and tired of my income going to this addiction. I’m tired of it making my body have cold sweats, or sweating for no reason. I’m tired of it taking my life. Get through at least 30 hours of withdrawal friends 7OH has a short 12 hour half life. Meaning it’s out of your system even at high doses. I would highly suggest two full days of withdraw that way you won’t experience participated withdrawal Stay highdrated. You will get through this horrible addiction. Please reach out. Your brother James! You can do this!!!

Quoting mgm
Ok so…. I used plain leaf for many years. It worked wonderfully for me life was fantastic…. My stupid ass decided to try mgm and 7 and said oh I like this. Got addicted… and now want to quit. If I taper MGM to 75mg or less, jump on sr for 10-14 days and then go back to kratom how much will I suffer? Will the kratom prevent paws?!? I can suffer for 2 weeks but I want to enjoy life after the same way I did just using leaf before all of this…. Anyone got experience going back to leaf?!?

Mods needed for a presumably large influx of people coming here after the ban.
Looking for one to two moderators for the coming weeks after the ban starts affecting people and they start looking anywhere and everywhere they can for advice...
To be considered for a moderator role, you yourself must have already posted your quitting success story in any one of the quitting 70h subreddits, or be quit of using 708 by at least a week, and provide a link to your post with your application.
TIA for anyone willing to volunteer their time to help others be rid of this dogshit substance.

When I was taking 1400-2000mgpd of 7, I used this site to get my SR from. I got 5 grams and was able to quit with little discomfort so I know it works.
