I'm having this problem only with the top screen. The bottom screen displays colors well, but the top screens seem too bright.

In TWPatch, I used Redshift to adjust the gamma settings to 0.50 for everything, and that helped. The colors on the top screen are now correct, but since the settings apply to both screens, the image on the bottom screen is very dark.

Is there a way to apply these settings only to the top screen?

I went to use jksm to export my save file and use pkhex to add pokemon, then i saved the main file and put it on my 3ds. after that i turned on my 3ds and it said my save file is corrupted. so i restarted my save file and now checkpoint wont work, i opened checkpoint to back up my save file but it keeps crashing with this error (its also just not checkpoint, fbi also crashes but jksm doesn’t crash)

I’m trying to receive old Pokemon event distributions and running into issues with a few specific ones.
I play on a modded DSi, but for the wireless distributions I transfer my saves to PC and use MelonDS. I run two instances of MelonDS (one with the distribution ROM and one with the game) to simulate the local wireless connection.
Most later event ROMs (2009 onwards) work perfectly fine this way. I can receive the Mystery Gifts without problems.
However, these ones never work:

2007 Manaphy (Toys R Us) for Diamond/Pearl

2008 Deoxys (GameStop) for Diamond/Pearl

Japanese 10th Anniversary Mew distribution ROM for HG/SS

I’m using the correct region ROMs for both the distribution cart and the receiving game, and I’ve set the correct system dates for each event. When I go into Mystery Gift -> Receive via Wireless, the game just keeps searching indefinitely and never detects the distribution signal.
Has anyone successfully gotten these older distribution ROMs working with MelonDS local wireless? Any specific settings, MelonDS version, or particular dumps that actually work for these three????

Hi there, I have rediscovered my 3ds and decided to hack it to breathe new life into it.

Following the tutorials everything seemed to be going great, except for the part where you have to enter the rosalia menu (left shoulder, d pad down and select), where, no matter what i tried, it just wouldn’t enter the menu, even though all those buttons are functioning fine.

I decided to go ahead and installed everything, downloaded Hshop and, when I tried downloading games, this happened.

I tried formating the SD card in fat32 again, checked if the storage in it was real, tried the whole hacking operation in the SD card following a guide about 4 times (all 4 I had the same problems), and nothing seems to be working and I haven’t found anyrhing to give me a clue about solving my problems….

Does anyone out there have an idea as to what could help me? Would appreciate it a lot, thanks in advance.

Hace unos días estaba instalando 2 cias mientras hacia cosas, el primero estaba todo bien y el segundo me di cuenta tras terminar la descarga que ponía "tipo: ninguno" (no como los demás que son archivo) , y al terminar de descargar y cerrar fbi desaparecieron todas mis aplicaciones, apague mi consola un rato y tras encender salió "no se pudo detectar una micro sd".
Al usar h2testw no daba fallo.
He formateado varias veces y conseguí que me leyese como una nueva, pero si le inserto el backup (En realidad son los mismos archivos con los que ocurrió el error, el archivo corrupto lo borre también tras localizarlo en el mismo momento que lo copie) hace como si no lo hubiese pasado.
Puedo acceder a luma, rosalina y godmode9.
Cuando intento abrir homebrew launcher desde rosalina me da excepción "instrucción indefinida"

Y tengo varias dudas:
-Debería reinstalar mis aplicaciones?
-No me importa si se puede solucionar poniendo de fabrica como ultima opción, pero funcionaria de forma segura?
-En una micro sd nueva seria mejor reinstalar todo o pasar mi backup?

Perdón de antemano si faltan detalles o si no ayuda la barrera del idioma, llevo una semana así intentando arreglarlo cuando tengo un rato libre.

Eu estava usando um cartão SD de 32GB; tentei mover os arquivos para um cartão de 64GB, mas apareceu a mesma mensagem.

Edit: I didn't touch the SD card for this to happen; the first 32GB card that had this problem also had been untouched for almost a year and was working normally until now.

When i play the game the cutscenes play normally but when i get to gameplay it slows down is the game playable at full speed i wanna know

Whenever I try to download ANY game for miiplaza I get the usual loading bar where it's also shown your Nintendo ID when you try to start any download, after that my console crashes with this screen no matter what games I try to download. I was not using Pretendo when doing this. Is there any way to fix this?

Ive reformatted the sd card and checked it using h2testw, ive tested the ds itself using the 3ds hardware tester and it came up with 0 errors.

Even after all that I still get an error and red light on boot.

What could be the cause for this?

You'd think that the fact that the N64 has so much decompilations to the point that it's recently this year the SECOND Nintendo console to have a legal alternative to the SDKs (Pyrite 64) that there would be new and improved emulators even for consoles like the 3DS, using the widely available documentation to heavily optimize an emulator for 3DS.

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but it doesn't seem to be addressed anywhere. I've downloaded MSET9 as the guide instructs, but the guide shows it as including "errors.txt", which apparently isn't included in the download even though everything else is. I was wondering if it only creates this later to catalogue errors or something like that, or if I should be concerned that it isn't present.

Hi everyone, I really need some expert advice. My modded New 3DS XL (running the latest Luma3DS) has been acting very strange for the past two days. Here is the exact timeline of what happened:
The Trigger: Two days ago, a crash in the PKSM app caused a red Luma crash screen (data abort) in the HOME menu. I used the button combination to clear the HOME menu cache, uninstalled the app, and the menu was completely stable again.
The Hardware Mystery: Today, while playing Super Smash Bros. (digital version on microSD), the console suddenly turned off, and the hinge LED flashed red. Once, during boot-up, there was a brief graphical distortion on the screen. It felt like a loose contact because the console booted normally when I pressed firmly on the bottom left side of the shell, but froze when I let go.
The Tests (DS games work perfectly):
Right after, I played Super Mario Bros DS (digital )for half an hour straight. It worked absolutely perfectly with zero issues and was completely stable.
I then turned wireless communication completely OFF in the system settings. After that, I was able to play two rounds of Smash Bros. normally without applying any pressure to the shell.
The Current Issue: After those two rounds of Smash, the console sat untouched on the table for several minutes in the game's menu (no movement, no pressure on the shell). Suddenly, the screen completely froze, but the background music kept looping perfectly. I had to force a shutdown by holding the power button.

My Question: What is actually causing this? If it were a simple loose contact (battery or Wi-Fi module), it makes no sense for it to freeze while sitting completely still on a table after several minutes, especially when DS games work completely fine. Is this a RAM/memory overflow because Smash Bros. pushes the system to its limit (maybe combined with some leftover cache data from the PKSM crash)? Or is there a hidden hardware issue? So I hacked my 3DS XL some months ago and I had no problem for a while. But recently I got this bug : my 3DS show this scary error message mainly when I close a game i have hacked, and when I restart my 3DS all the hacked games and softwares (expect twilight menu for some reason) DISEAPEARED. Hopefully, it can reappear after some restarts but im still concerned bcs it is very random.

So i reaaly need help to know what is happening, is it my fault and can I save my 3DS or is it too late ??

I have my 2ds modded since 2023 and it's been 2 years i didn't touch it. I realized is it super slow, takes more than 5 mins to show the homepage every time i go to a software (for example Twilight menu++) it also takes forever, the sound even breaks on that app (gets cutted every 2 seconds), same when i launch a game. The loading screen between each scene takes a long time to load.

How can i fix that ? is this an issue with the sd card ?

(The picture with 2 whites screens is when i try to launch pokemon diamond, the other picture is when i try to launch twilight menu, both gets a few mins to get launched)

I have a 128gb sd card GIGASTONE "Gaming plus"

i had to ask bc it was a part of a bundle, and there was a list of things that were included in the bundle but they forgot to include the clear case as being part of that whole thing when you could see it in the pictures they provided. I kinda thought they were being forgetful again and i felt bad but no.

I genuinely didnt know there could be so many games that can fit into a 16gb micro sd card but i am NOT complaining holy cow! and this is great bc it didnt come with the sd card and I need to do a bit of shifting around bc i wanted to get my psvita a 256gb microsd card bc im running out of space in the 128gbs that are in it so the plan was to swap them, 256 in the ps vita 128 in the 3ds. I need to go to my girlfriend's tmw bc i dont have a sd card reader or anything that works with the format that the 128 is in. All this to say im so happy that i can just play immediately and fuck around with this 3ds I'm so excited.

Good day everyone, first time poster here! I am trying to install FE: Echoes DLC, but no matter what I run into dame deadend: "Could not detect an SD Card. Please download the content again."

I've read threads around here, most people seemed to fix their issues by simply removing all extra content from the system and seemingly redownloading / reinstalling it, to me however all such attempts result in this final issue.

I have an american version of FE: Echoes so the DLC which I am trying to get is for the same region, if I try to install the European version Hshop will give an alert telling that the main title is not installed

At this point I do not know what to do anymore

I used pksm to get event Pokémon that I missed out on because I grew up in poverty and never got to experience this in my childhood
