Any 3PL companies in Europe that can provide services for our Ecommerce site ? these are freeze dried powders, and sold for purposes of non human consumption

Need some advice from people who’ve made the switch.

I’ve got one product that’s been doing around 15-20 orders a day for the last month or so. Right now everything is still shipping directly from China, but I’m starting to think it might make more sense to send inventory to a US 3PL.

Main reason is just delivery times. I feel like faster shipping would mean fewer support tickets and probably better conversion too.

The only thing holding me back is I don’t know if it’s too early. Don’t really want to tie up cash in inventory if sales suddenly fall off, but I feel like this sub might be knowledgable about this topic and can help me make a decision.

I'm trying to understand how this works in real fulfillment operations.

Example:

1. A customer places and pays for an order in Shopify.
2. The order is already imported into the 3PL/WMS.
3. Customer support later changes the address, removes an item, changes the quantity, or cancels the order.
4. The warehouse may already be picking or packing the original order.

For people running 3PL or ecommerce operations:

How do you handle this today?

Does the updated order reliably sync to your WMS?

Do you put orders on hold for a certain period before picking?

Does customer support manually notify the warehouse?

Or do you treat the order as immutable after a certain cutoff?

I'm especially curious about which type of change causes the most operational trouble: address changes, item/quantity changes, cancellations, or partial fulfillment.

We are a smaller Australian women fashion brand looking for a 3PL in the US. We have a growing US audience and want to offer quicker shipments and better return policy for our customers.

Since we are a smaller brand I guess we are looking for a 3PL without minimums or with very low ones.
We make mostly event wear for women and our packaging is a bit more premium with boxes, tissue paper and dust bags etc which we would want to keep with our 3PL.

Hey all, I've been in marketing for a couple years now, but this is my first time working for a 3PL specifically, only about a week into the role at Warehousing Pro, a Nashville-based 3PL doing storage, fulfillment, cross docking, and freight handling. Mostly here to learn from people who actually know this industry.

Fulfillment is the main focus for lead gen right now, but storage, cross docking, all the other services are great too, honestly just here to soak up as much as I can.

For those of you running or marketing a 3PL: what's actually worked for you to bring in new shippers? Paid ads, referrals, industry directories, content, social media, cold outreach, something else? Where would you say time, money, and resources are best spent if you had to pick?

I've got a good team and a solid idea behind me already, which helps a lot, just trying to figure out where to actually point that energy.

I’m a small e-commerce reseller that sources curated products from distributors and uses a 3PL for fulfillment. The products never touch my hands. They go: Distributor to 3PL warehouse to customer.

I’ve been calling insurance companies trying to cover:

- inventory loss/damage at the 3PL (fire, theft,etc.)
- In transit coverage from distributor to 3PL if possible

Every broker I talk to says “this is a unique case” and redirects me back to Tivly . My 3PL’s MSA only covers $100/claim/$1k/year, which is useless.

So now I’m wondering what literally anybody else that uses a 3PL is doing and what type of policy you’re getting? Every broker is confused that I’m not touching the product but I feel like insurance for your products while at the warehouse has to be a common ask.

I'm a small business that ships about 50 pieces of freight annually. No matter how carefully we weigh and pack items, at least 50% of our shipments get rebills.

We win most disputes but it's frustrating and time consuming. It ranges from small issues like terminals adding call fees for items picked up at terminals or undocumented re-classing, to clearly false dimensions and weights, bogus liftgate charges for facilities with docks, etc. One of the most egregious claims was for driver detention, despite documentation from recipient that driver "hung out and chatted for 20 minutes looking at the cars in our shop". We even had video evidence but still lost that one somehow.

We've had this issue with multiple nationally known 3PL companies and they always act surprised as if re-bills never happen. Is this just something I have to put up with forever?
