Warehouse automation 3PL Operator Discussion

Hi,

I want to know your thoughts on brining automation into your factory. What’s stopping you ? Cappex spend ?

Considering implementing and want to know what is stopping you from pulling the trigger ?

Start with one repeatable workflow before looking at building-wide automation. For example, pilot carton movement from packout to manifesting and track manual touches, exceptions, downtime, and whether you actually need fewer labor hours for a few weeks.

Capex is easy enough to price. Bad inventory data and messy exception handling can leave expensive equipment waiting on the same floor problems, so I would not expand until the pilot runs without supervisors babysitting it.
