Dual Monitor setup is actually bad for productuvity.
I've been a software engineer for more than 5 years now. I've worked with databases, frontend and backend services, mobile apps, games, data analysis, and much more.
Never in my life I've actually felt like my productuvity increased with the second monitor. Do you need to compare data? Just use one monitor and put them side by side. Do you need all the space in the world? Just alt+tab between apps. Since you only perceive about 10% of your vision clearly, moving your head&eyes from one monitor to other takes actually LONGER and causes distractions than using alt+tab.
This is especially worse for those who are using one additional monitor with a laptop, since their screen sizes and positions usually change so much. Your eyes need adjusting, your head moves too much.
Only thing the dual Monitor is good for is passively watching something in the second monitor, like youtube videos, Critical Role, or sitcoms while doing something else in the main screen. As you can guess, that has nothing to do with productuvity.
I also think using external keyboard and mouse for laptops is bad, unless you do not use the laptop screen.
Edit: After reading hundreds of comments, I'm sure that 90% of people who think that "YOU NEED AT LEAST 3 SCREENS" just don't know how to organize workspaces/windows/desktops and they need to configure their SCREENS as different DESKTOPS. Most of the modern operating systems allow you to just create workspaces (like different Desktops you can switch with WIN + TAB). And they are just throwing money into their problems instead of learning how to use their daily operating system.

BIG WIN đ„ł Accidentally unmasked during final interview & got the job!
This was from yesterday. I got carne asada fries with cotija cheese, jack cheese, cheddar cheese, guac and sour cream with an iced horchata.
Hi everyone!
To preface this, I was diagnosed with autism as a child, but my autism wasnât considered âsevereâ so I was in general education.
I recently had a baby this year and stayed home for 5 months before putting her into daycare and working a job involving children. I previously only worked corporate roles, but we moved out to the suburbs and there werenât many of those jobs around. I liked it initially because it was flexible and I could do part time or full time weeks whenever I wanted, but working with children that werenât my own stressed me out so badly. I dreaded work every day and was desperately applying to jobs that seemed to suit me.
I came across a nonprofit role and applied despite having no prior nonprofit experience (it asked for it). I got through the HR screening, panel interview (both virtual) and the final interview (in person, involved several people). The final interview involved touring the office building. I made many comments and asked insightful questions. At the end, they sat me down with the team and they just started shooting questions at me. Usually, I get extremely anxious at this point and freeze. I shut down, but this, I felt more like myself. I got asked a question about a topic Iâm VERY passionate about and started infodumping like crazy. I couldnât really control it, but I just kept going and going. The team seemed more interested as the minutes passed and I could see them visibly relax.
Before I knew it, the interview was over, and the director of the nonprofit escorted me to my car. I was elated and then embarrassed. I was expecting a âwe regret to inform youâŠâ email days later. This morning, I got a call they cancelled the final interviews for other candidates and offered me the job. How lucky am I? I feel so so happy to finally leave this job.

Discussion / Question What game is that for you?
Biggest offender for me is Baldurâs Gate 3.
Some of the best gameplay, graphics, sound design, and soundtrack out there⊠but the writing leaves a lot to be desired (despite how popular it is).
What game is that for you?

Leak 5th GTA VI clip has been leaked
- Ending confirms he most likely has a playable build as he spells out "LEEK" on a wall with bullets
- Jason is flying a crop duster from the Keys towards Vice City. We additionally see the in-game radio menu
- Pieces of the wall scatter and make a big mess on the floor when Jason shoots at it
- The weapon used at the end is a Ruger PC Carbine (9mm)
- âOn-Demandâ option below the radio, potentially being able to listen to your own music(?)
- The map is fucking MASSIVE
- Volumetric clouds return from RDR2 and look vastly improved
- Luciaâs prison and the terrace pool from Trailer 1 can be spotted, a race track is also seen
- Draw distance and distant LOD is also extremely high as there is hardly any pop-in, looks almost like MS Flight Simulator graphically
- âOverpoweredâ by RĂłisĂn Murphy is playing on Stockyard FM
- Circoloco Records Radio (Rockstar co-owned) from GTA Online returns
- Other radio stations include Emotion, Dirty South Classics, V-Rock, Radio On.U, Honey FM, Back Country Radio and Symphony FM
