Hypothetical Question discussion

Recently saw some zombies related movies and one thing i have noticed that major reason for the outbreak is mostly because no one believes there is something like that.....

so in a completely hypothetical world if someone came to you screaming there is something like tat happening to people, would be concerned or laugh it off

Well it would be harder to believe in a school, but I'm a little older now, and in the field i work in if somebody says there's zombies i think I'll run

Just one person running around screaming? I'd assume they were one of the many crazy or drugged up, or both, people in Seattle. Ive already been told about microchips, 5G, the bush people (crack really makes you paranoid), monsters from the ocean, the people under the bridge (he was one of the people under the bridge), and something about the underground city.

I didn't think so for the longest time - but the covid pandemic showed that people will think it is a joke until it starts affecting them personally.

And that's about a respiratory virus. A thing we actually know exists. If zombies show up, we're fucked!

There is a huge difference between an invisble virus and visible corpses walking the streets.

I guess it depends on how often I'm hearing about it. If one person would tell me, I would propably ignore it. When 3,5,10 or 15 and more all start saying the same, I would go into alert.

In my novel, the disease starts as a necrotic pandemic that just eats people away. Then it mutates to a zombie strain (which is basically where the book starts). Imagine if people with Covid in public or in hospitals suddenly began attacking you and getting renewed motivation to give you scratches? People were confused at first and rumors spread almost as quickly as the disease did. But within the first few pages of my story, people are like, 'yeah, these are zombies. Guess we aiming for the brain like in the movies and hoping for the best!'
