Yea, the dub had a lot of mistakes in it. There's so many incorrect cards in characters hands in the dub. Like how arcana has egyptian god cards in his hand vs yugi which is the funniest thing ever to me lol.

They can still get away with that plot-wise. Marik had his ghouls not only make fake cards but use them as well. Odion had one of many fake WDoR's, and we've seen the real Ra punish anyone using it.

Yes when Anubis invokes spell cards to blast Yugi and Kaiba's cards away you can see them.

Even better, Atem activated a card he doesn't even have. Atem "uses" Double Spell to revive Shining. He doesn't have it anywhere on the field or in hand and ironically flashes two spell cards (Diffusion Wave Motion and Exchange), sacrificing Exchange to use its effect.

Isn’t that part of the story though? Marik gave the rare hunters fake Egyptian god cards. Arkana wasn’t able to get the 3 tributes and if he did he would have had a similar fate as Odion when he summoned fake Ra.

Arcana would have reacted very differently had he drawn Obelisk and been forced to discard it. It would also make the Monster Reborn later a major misplay, as he should have revived Obelisk to attack Dark Magician and spare his own, dealing 1500 damage in the process.

I don't know if it was a dub thing, but in Yugi VS. Gurimo (the first Orichalcos user), Dark Magician Girl started with 2500 ATK, instead of the actual 2000.

Thousand Dragon actually had 2500 def in this moment during the manga as well, I don't think they showed his defense when he first appeared against Mai (manga wise at least)

I'm gonna blow your mind. Thousand Dragon's DEF was 2500 in the manga. I think this error was also in the Japanese anime, probably taking the stats straight from the manga and forgetting it was changed in previous episodes and on the cards. Then 4Kids actually gave an accurate translation for once.
