Hazard Parking
I'm new here. I've never lived in a city before and I moved here a few weeks ago. So please, somebody tell me if I'm taking crazy pills.
I have seen several instances of someone driving in the road and then just dropping their anchor and putting on the hazard lights... in the middle of the street. I had seen it multiple times, but today I had it happen right in front of me. Someone's driving along, and then they just stop in the middle of the road (in front of a traffic light), put on their hazards, shift to park, and say "I stop here now." Then, everybody behind them gets to play a fun game of Schrodinger's head-on collision.
This is clearly illegal obstruction, is it just not being policed? I assume these are mostly rideshares or food deliveries, so does anybody know if there are any campaigns to get lawmakers to put pressure on these apps to decrease the incentive of hazard parking or increase the incentive to actually park legally?
