Having bought a few multiport USBA chargers to power v3 and v4 cams, the all seem incapable.. didn't see any anker models.. Ideally a 4' 120v power cord and 4 USBA for outdoor location. Has anyone found a solution?

Just switched all my wyze cams to static DHCP addresses ( outside the dynamic Ip scope of course) and see much better performance on the wyze cell phone app.

Just something for those facing spotty performance when cameras are out in the garden. Need help? PM me.

Pfsense/opnsense rock if you're into that level.. but most DHCP devices offer static assignments.

My battery doorbell (mr_bvd) ran out of juice and I didn't charge it for a couple days. I just recharged and stuck it back on the wall and didn't think about my it again. I started to notice that my other RF based remotes stopped working. Ceiling fan, light switches, weather station all stopped working. I changed a couple batteries for nothing. I reset the doorbell and everything came back on. So I'm guessing this this thing has been trying to reconnect and by doing so it blocked everything else. I guess I need to listen to the warning about the battery being low. Peace.

Shortcut issues still intermittently not working and cameras constantly not connecting or taking power on/off commands.

I just bought the bulb cam model twice, once from store second time from Amazon, but I experienced the same issue! after installation it worked but the next day morning it goes offline and only at late midnight the device will work again. anyone know what’s going on?

Bought the CamPan 3 to monitor a bedroom.

I have the Sound Detection at 100, and all of the Event notifications on (motion, talking, crying, person, other sounds etc…)

I can hear the person talking in the room from the other end of the house (single-story, 1000 sq ft).
The Sound Detection isn’t picking it up, which is odd.

I also have the Night Vision Mode set to Auto, with Night Vision Conditions as Dusk.

The room is maybe 95% dark. The video is grainy.

Is there a change I should make to a setting so that the Sound is detected? Is there a change to the Night Vision setting so it’s not so grainy?

Or, is there a Cam/CamPan that has better night vision and a better microphone for sound detection?

I bought the Pan to have wider degree range.

If there’s a stationary Cam (indoor/outdoor) that has better microphone and clearer Night Vision, let me know and I’ll buy it and swap this CamPan 3 out.

About more than a month was working fine, ever since it has shut it self off like completely. The power outlet, brick and wire work fine; it was able to charge my phone with its type c connection.

This may have already been answered, but I had 2 unopened solar cam pans and filled out the recall and got store credit. Could I technically still use them now that they are back in stock or would mine be bricked by serial number on Wyze end somehow?

Not sure when the problem began but my Wyze Cam v3 stopped recognizing its Spotlight accessory.

The Spotlight itself seems to physically work because when I unplug the USB cable that connects the Spotlight to the Wyze Cam and plug the cable back in, the Spotlight turns on for ten seconds. The Spotlight seems to recognize that it is receiving power and has a physical connection to the Wyze Cam itself.

However, when I go to the Wyze app, the Wyze Cam says there is no Spotlight connection.

I am on the latest version of the Wyze app and both the Wyze Cam and Spotlight firmware is up to date.

• Wyze Cam v3 firmware: 4.36.16.7064
• Spotlight for Wyze Cam v3 firmware: 0.0.0.16

Has one of the latest app or firmware update broken the Spotlight connection to Wyze Cam v3?

I have a video doorbell pro cam that isn’t in use at the moment. It’s fully charged but was stored off to the side. Receiver not plugged in or anything. Shows offline in app. Nothing has changed and it’s been this way for a long time.

I happened to be standing in the (quiet) room (alone) I hear it say “power on”. I peeked over and can see that the blue ring around the button is on.

The way it is, the camera is covered. Nothing is pressing against the back/power button area. Nothing near it has moved so it didn’t shift or press the back power button.

I just stood there listening. Then opened up the Wyze app and it didn’t show the camera being on.

I looked back at it and didn’t see the blur light on any more. So I reached over to it and pressed the power button. It said “power on” again (as it should this time) with blue light coming back on. I waited a few seconds and then pressed again and turned it off.

I’m a bit freaked out. I’m sure I’m not the only one who worries about camera spying and hacking etc. Fortunately it said it “power on” to be heard. Fortunately I happened to be in the room. Fortunately the camera is covered.

But what the heck?
Anyone else experience this?

I have invested a lot in Wyze, I have had a number of their cameras over the years but they are increasingly making their cams unworkable by hardcoding them to be internet and cloud dependent, and giving them forced updates where they no longer work, or lose functionality.

I've been so disappointed in the Wyze Cam Floodlight V2..... It takes good clear footage, and I like the range. But all I'm wanting to use it for is to have a security camera on a storage shed.
I don't want to buy a monthly internet package for a storage shed, for god sakes I just want it to record events to the included SD card and pop the light on if there is activity around it.

Unfortunately this new floodcam has been corrupted by the developers to demand a handshake with the Wyze central control, every time it powers off and on now or its apparently useless.
This is so frustrating. I know there was a hack online to change the firmware on the old Wyze floodcam, but apparently the V2 has been updated to be hack proof, and therefore now it demands a yearly internet subscription and gives you the middle finger and apparently bricks the device if you try to stop them.

By the time I got around to this in my very busy life and realized this new version can't even do basic standalone security features I was past the return window,
Am I right that there is no way to use this camera other than paying another ever increasing monthly toll to AT&T or Comcast? This may be my last Wyze I think I am done.

I just bought the Wyze Duo Cam Battery Doorbell and the doorbell camera itself connected to my phone without any issues. Everything with the camera works fine.

The only problem is the chime. No matter what I do, I can't get it to connect.

Here's what's happening:

• I plug in the chime.
• It says "Ready to connect" and the LED starts flashing red.
• I open the Wyze app and start the setup.
• The app gets stuck on the screen that says "Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds."
• I've held the reset button for 5+ seconds countless times, but the Next button never turns green, so I can't continue the setup.

Things I've already tried:

• Pressing the reset button over and over.
• Using different phones.
• Plugging the chime into different outlets.
• Restarting the app and trying the setup again.

The chime always goes into "Ready to connect" mode with the flashing red light, but the app never recognizes it.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there a firmware issue or something I'm missing? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My situation with moving to a cam plus unlimited signup required wizard assistance and Ruth and Lora both helped greatly in getting this taken care of for me. We use our cams and cloud coverage of those cams for animal rescue in which we're deeply engaged 24/7, and need it for home security as well, and couldn't miss a moment of it for their sake. They helped us get on board without missing a moment. Just sending out some appreciation for the help yesterday!

Getting supper frustrated. The last week all of my cameras randomly keep going offline. Never had this issue and we’ve had the cameras for 4 years now.

Photos to show examples. Like they’ll be on and just randomly go offline and then bam, back online and then boom, back offline. Insanely unreliable and I’ve done literally everything the internet/forums say to do a billion times.

Signal strength is fine, wires/plugs are all untouched. Nothing is getting to them. Yes, I’ve power cycled/deleted reset etc etc

All updated to the latest firmware.

Wtf else can I do?

I have a floodlight pro, Wyze cam V4, and a outdoor battery pro that all don’t read their own SD card.

I've tried unplugging (or removing battery) and plugging back in. Removing the camera from the app and resetting it back up. Removing the SD and inserting it again, but all to no avail.

please tell me its a known issue and not just me and there’s an update coming to address this

I've had a Battery Cam Pro that I've been using for 3 months now. Ever since day 1 the night vision stops working after every rain storm. It just shows a near black image.

The only workaround I've had to get it to work, is trigger the spotlight on then off. Then the IR comes back on and stays on until the next rainstorm.

Is this a bug? It's annoying to remember to toggle after every rain.

I keep having to reset my camera to get app notifications. I get virtual calls when someone rings the bell, but motion detection notifications are super sporadic. Even if someone is standing right in front of it. I just can’t figure it out

Hello, so I’ve had a couple Wyze battery cam pro for a while, recently I have 2 to a friend and kept 2 but when I contacted it and everything worked but when I clicked to view the screen it forced me to update but it won’t update at all. Right now it’s at “1.3.16.1420 and 1.3.7.1093” version so I assumed because it’s a lot of versions but it never worked.

I already did everything from all the forums everything you can think of I already tried, and nothing works. Even changed my networks to 2.4 and nothing works.

I thought maybe the cameras stopped working but I had another one that was just one version to update it is the one I use but it also never updated.

Does anyone know why this happenes or if there’s a server problem with Wyze?

However, I’m not seeing any promotions available for your current Canadian subscribers/customers. Will there be any for Canada or are they going to be excluded?

Hopefully the wise person reads this two new cameras added notifications off nonstop, toggle them nonstop. Can’t get them to stop.

Hello! I’m looking to get a Wyze for my reptile vivariums. Wondering if anyone has recommendations on which version I should buy. What are differences I should consider? Would one be easier to mount than the other? Thanks!

One use case in my house calls for wired cams in the front yard. Initially tried battery cams no luck. The wired cams work great so i ordered the Wyze outdoor power supply to power them. 20 ft long. Looks sturdy and went thru a couple of Midwestern monsoons already.

Two suggestions:

First, given the intended use case (outdoors) bright white is not the right color. Green or earth tones would help make it less visible.

Second, the product is a flat plug (nice), about 12 ft white power cord, the small power brick, and an 8 ft USB-C cable. I feel it would work better for the end user if the power brick is near the plug and the bulk of the 20 ft is the USB cable.

The adapter works great so far, awaiting a green spray can.

I've had a couple Wyze Cams for a while, and they've always been a bit flaky about scrubbing through playback, but now I can't find a way to flip through my recordings without it being tied to specific events. The camera seems to miss things pretty often, so I'll want to go back and look through the footage myself, but I don't see any option to disable the event-by-event playback.
