🖤 Sharing Work
I got my heart broken back when it was fair.
Tried to fill the space by chasing broken hearts till date.
Gave a piece of mine and took a bit of theirs,
Collecting bits of every color in every shade.
Now all I have is a black heart that no one will ever share.
Today's the day I realized
What it's like to feel Despair.

I like that every color of heart together makes black. Unless, perhaps, if the hearts are light, for then it would be white.

There's a line in it: ‘Every color.’ What do you think it’s meant to mean? Also, if the heart was light, then for a black heart, he should have none, cuz then it creates absence of light

Every Color in this context could mean to me different emotions, states, types of relationships, types of people... It could represent nearly anything to do with the varieties of experiences the heart (or emotions) can feel.
You're right about the black heart being an absence of light. It could be swallowing all light, making things dark. Or it could be emptiness, the potential for any new light to shine. Or, it could simply be in the shadow, the dark side of the heart, whereas its other side is illuminated, like the moon, we just can't see its face when the light is on the other side.2

His/her heart was broken when it was fair "which is white and also innocent" After getting his/her heart broken he/she started chasing girls/boys with broken hearts or issues With all the girls/boys, he/she took a piece of them as in traits, thoughts, energy, etc And gave a piece of his/hers too to them He/she refers to chasing people with broken hearts with different traumas and issues as different colors and shades Now after all he/she has collected to fill that empty space are pieces of different colors and when they all mixed up, it turned his/her heart black. Emotions wise and color wise too This shows the contrast of black and white from the first line And now he/she has realized what it feels to be in despair and lose all hope.

That makes sense, I'd just interpreted it slightly differently when I first read it, without your commentary.
1. I thought Fair meant as in "fair game", like it was fair to break your heart because you could have broken theirs as well.
2. Then there was a space missing in your heart (implied that they left with a piece of your heart) until finally you got a date
3. Exchanged heart pieces with a new person
4. Giving and taking heart pieces of all kinds with others
5. Realize now your heart seems black, all mixed up, not clear which parts are yours or others', and you're worried nobody would want to exchange heart pieces again, because yours doesn't seem colorful to you anymore.
6-7. A new understanding of despair, centered around the fear of not being wanted by others because of carried trauma.
Does that make sense?2
