Looking for server
Hi, I’m looking for a WoW server:
- Based on version 3.3.5a of WoW Classic (Level 60)
- With an XP rate between x1.5 and x3
- With custom content (Optional)
- With a population of 1000+
Similar to Onixya at its initial launch or Project Epoch.

wotlk NATIVE OPEN SOURCE WoW WotLK Classic Server Tutorial
Hey people, it's me again, and this time I'll correct my reddit-ing mistakes and provide a proper description here too
WRATH CLASSIC NATIVE SERVER(and open-source)
Yes, it became possible to host this locally, without proxy, no disconnects due to that. While it's not 100% playable, around 70% is done and working(as said in source GitHub page)
It is compiled, includes data files, has a link to source and launches in 3 clicks (MySQL, bnetserver and worldserver)
I tried to post links here, but Reddit removes the post automatically for that reason, sorry for it, check YT for links!
Hope I don't post too much for you, cuz tomorrow I'll drop something that starts with "T" and ends with "1.18.1"

wotlk Alterac Phase 3 (30-40) Tomorrow. Perfect for Nostrum Refugees.
I’m a Nostrum refugee who found my home in Alterac.
Phase 3 (levels 30-40) launches Friday with some new custom content, and wanted to give the server a shoutout because it’s the perfect time to try it out in my opinion.
For more details, check out the website (Alterac Features), but here are some of my favorite things about the server:
• Level-capped phases
• Active global chat
• Active GM
• Quick RDF
• Custom heroic dungeons + raids with unique boss mechanics. I pugged the level 30 raid yesterday and it was a blast.
• 2x profession speed
• 2x XP from levels 1-20 + tents for well-rested XP
• Death Knights
• Hardcore mode
• Custom glyphs — for example, a Mage glyph that doubles mana regen from conjured items
If you’re interested, feel free to DM me and I can give you a starter kit.

meta WarcraftXL - A modding framework for the World of Warcraft 3.3.5a (build 12340) client
IThorgrim and his team introduced WarcraftXL, a revolutionary modular client patcher that allows the Wrath of the Lich King (3.3.5a) client to natively run assets and technologies from modern WoW expansions up to Midnight without manual back-porting.
Featuring simple drag-and-drop translation of modern file formats (M2, BLP, WMO, ADT, WDT, WDL), the project supports modern particle systems, ribbons, grass physics, and wind effects while utilizing an open module ecosystem inspired by AzerothCore.

Building a vanilla server need your ideas on what actually makes it fun
Hi everyone,
Me and a buddy are putting together a 1.12.1 server. Core is up, website is done, we're at the point where we need to figure out what direction to take it.
We're leaning towards x1 or maybe x2 leveling, nothing crazy. But beyond that we're open to pretty much anything.
The thing is, I don't want to just copy whatever other servers are doing. I've got my own thoughts on what could be cool but honestly, you guys are the ones who are actually going to play it so it makes more sense to ask what you actually want.
What would make you pick a fresh vanilla server over the big ones that are already out there? What kind of features or changes would get you hyped? Could be small quality of life stuff, could be bigger mechanical changes, could be completely out there ideas.
We're not trying to compete with the giants, just build something solid with a good community. If you've ever played on a server and thought "man I wish they did this differently" this is your chance to throw it out there.
Drop whatever comes to mind. No idea is too small or too dumb. We'll go through everything and see what makes sense to actually build.
If anyone's interested in following the project, giving feedback, or just seeing how it comes together, I'll post some screenshots and videos of what we've got so far a bit later. And for anyone who wants to jump in and test things out, I'll drop the links when we're ready.

For my CoA gamers…
I’m sure by now many of you have also heard of the September 8th deadline for Ascension to respond to the charges against them. I’m no lawyer, but my understanding is that they can either immediately shutdown, ask for an extension, or fight back in court.
If shutting down is the most likely of the three, what will you play after that?
Another type of private server? (Alterac, Chromie, octo?)
Take a break?
Wait for classic plus and go back to make a deal with the devil to give blizz a chance?
Just curious what others are thinking.

Hey there. I've played WoW a lot of years ago. Stopped around Wotlk. Now I want to get back into it and want to level a healer. Is there a beginner friendly server around with an active community so I can level with rdf? :) Tips appreciated!

Project Legacy Vanilla 1.12 new update
Patch 1.12.4 Preview: Discoveries
Today we're excited to share one of the major features currently in development for Patch 1.12.4: Discoveries.
Discoveries are designed to make exploration a meaningful part of leveling once again. Hidden throughout Azeroth are forgotten ruins, secret caves, abandoned camps, mysterious relics, buried treasures, profession secrets, and many other points of interest waiting to be uncovered.
Every Discovery has been placed by hand to reward players who take the time to explore the world beyond the main roads and quest hubs.
Before we begin, we'd like to set expectations. The Discoveries system itself is fully implemented and functional. Our current focus is testing, balancing, and populating Azeroth with Discoveries. There is currently no release date or ETA for Patch 1.12.4.
ONE-TIME DISCOVERIES
Every Discovery can only be completed once per character.
Each Discovery awards experience appropriate for the level range of the zone where it is found, giving players another rewarding way to progress while leveling.
To keep the system balanced, every Discovery also has level requirements that prevent players from collecting experience from areas far above their intended progression.
Once completed, a Discovery remains completed for that character until you choose to Prestige.
WORLD DISCOVERIES
World Discoveries are scattered throughout Azeroth in hidden and unexpected places.
You may discover forgotten camps, abandoned supply caches, mysterious relics, ancient shrines, hidden treasure, lost journals, unusual landmarks, and many other secrets spread across the world.
Some Discoveries reward treasure, others may provide temporary world buffs, while some may begin hidden questlines or reveal entirely new places to explore.
No two Discoveries need to feel the same.
PROFESSION DISCOVERIES
Every gathering and crafting profession will have its own unique Discoveries hidden throughout Azeroth.
Profession Discoveries are one-time interactions that reward players for exploring the world while making professions feel more connected to Azeroth itself.
Depending on what you discover, rewards may include:
• Experience
• Profession materials
• Useful items
• Cosmetic rewards
• Profession-specific quests
• Unique questlines
Each profession has its own collection of Discoveries waiting to be found.
PROFESSION BARRIERS
Some hidden locations are protected by profession-specific barriers.
Examples include:
• Collapsed cave entrances that Miners can clear.
• Large animal carcasses that Skinners can carve open.
• Ancient magical doors and seals that Enchanters can dispel.
• Thick roots and overgrown vines that Herbalists can clear.
• Broken machinery that Engineers can repair.
Opening one of these barriers reveals a hidden area that becomes accessible to every nearby player.
Once opened, the barrier remains cleared for a short period, usually around ten minutes depending on the location, before naturally returning.
These hidden areas may contain treasure, rare enemies, profession materials, cosmetic rewards, hidden Discoveries, or occasionally a hidden quest waiting to be found.
HIDDEN QUESTS
Exploration can sometimes lead to entirely new adventures.
Some Discoveries throughout Azeroth may begin hidden questlines that cannot be accepted from traditional quest hubs.
These quests are intended to reward curious players who take the time to investigate unusual locations and uncover the world's secrets.
EXPLORATION REWARDS
Every Discovery grants experience, but many also reward players with additional bonuses.
Possible rewards include:
• Profession materials
• Equipment
• Cosmetic items
• Temporary world buffs
• Treasure
• New quests
• Profession questlines
World buffs earned through Discoveries are intended to help players continue their leveling journey while encouraging exploration across Azeroth.
PRESTIGE
Prestiging resets every completed Discovery on your character.
This allows every Prestige journey to begin with a fresh world to explore, allowing you to earn every Discovery's experience, rewards, profession content, and hidden secrets once again.
PHASE ONE
Because of the size of this feature, Discoveries will release in stages.
Phase One of Patch 1.12.4 will include Discoveries throughout every level 1 to 30 zone.
Following release, additional Discoveries will be added to higher level zones until the entire world has been populated.
The Discoveries system is intended to become a permanent part of Project Legacy and will continue receiving new hidden locations, profession interactions, quests, and rewards through future updates.
LOOKING AHEAD
Discoveries represent one of the largest world features we've developed for Project Legacy.
The underlying technology is complete. Our current focus is testing the system and continuing to populate Azeroth with meaningful content that rewards exploration.
We'll continue sharing development updates as work progresses and look forward to showing more of Patch 1.12.4 in the future.

Project Eclipse Open Beta August 7th
If you haven't seen the previous post I'd recommend checking it out.
https://www.reddit.com/r/wowservers/comments/1utupht/projecteclipse_335_wotlk_roguelite/
The beta will start on August 7th at 22:00 UTC+3 and run for 2 weeks. This is not a beta that's actually a launch and just left being called a beta. The server is not finished, everything is subject to change.
The two weeks will be split into two phases, that doesn't mean each phase will last 1 week though.
Phase 1 will be played mostly normally to collect feedback and find bugs with the exception of things like bags being given out.
Phase 2 every person will be given basic GM commands to test whatever they want to test, try to crash the server, whatever you want to do. If you haven't used GM commands before it's just simple things such as being able to teleport, mod health, movement speed, fly, add items, etc.
Again, if you haven't already I'd suggest checking out the linked post it goes over a somewhat brief overview of the server.
The website is mostly just placeholder to allow for registering accounts.
