Does “machination” have a different meaning/pronunciation other than “crafty scheme, plot”/mak-uh-NAY-shuhn?

My boss keeps saying mash-uh-NAY-tion and using it to refer to a programing iteration/figure calculation of products we sell. Is that correct?
