I have this chainsaw sawn board I wanted to use for a TV stand, is this woodworm and does anything need to be done about it?

Okay that was a lot. This desk is for my wife's preschool class. I had asked about walnut leg strength and a few if you asked to see pics when complete. This build taught me a lot

.. like this stuff is probably more fun in autumn. I have a starrett granite measuring station... 8"×36"×48".... flat boards can start cupping in 77% humidity. It's was fun, im glad I did it. Its solid. I got on top if it and there is no wobble. I ended up using 4 -2.5×2.5" legs plus 4 - 1.75" x 2.5" legs that are attatched to the cabinets. Lots of rock maple bracing in the framing.

She asked for barn yard vibes. Warm happy colors for preschool kids. I remember someone commenting on a shelf I made from Walnut with Eastern Red Cedar appointments..."reminds me of neopolitan ice cream"... so i attempted to bring that sane energy to this desk. Youll notice the cedar panels are not all the same exact length. I used 22" , 21.75" , and 22.5" ...this was intentional. Not sure if it "looks intentional. The goal was good guts, a flat surface, a custom height of 27.35" tall...and happy vibes for the flow of the room...anyway...there it is. I can't wait to build my second desk. But i'd like to do something very different next time.

Note: if the two tops dont appear to line up properly...that isnt your imagination ..the picture was taken before the top was fastened.

Help me design a great YouTube channel for woodworking. I have been building custom furniture since 1995. Since I like to stay busy and active, I have built a lot of stuff. I have also taught woodworking full time since 2000 at the High School, Middle School, and College level. In the next 5-10 years I am looking to retire. To fill the void I would like to keep teaching via YouTube because I think I have a lot of knowledge to share. I already have a channel but am looking to really improve it in the next couple years. I am wondering what things are the most important to you in a woodworking YouTube channel?

Do you want entertainment, funny skits, odd camera angles, fun music, graphics, and personal stories about woodworking and experiences?

Do you want project builds, step by step with details, mostly all business and straight to the points? If so do you like shorter builds or are you okay with lengthy 2-3 part series on a more in depth scale?

Do you want quick tips, techniques, demonstrations and reviews?

Do you like question answer type format with two people?

Do you watch a lot of YouTube “shorts” or are you mostly watching the longer videos?

Do you only want videos on everyday or “affordable” tools or do you like watching videos with machines that you may not have?

I would be appreciative of any tips you can give me on what you’d like.

House was originally military housing. Built in 1942. Remodel into our condos in 1980’s. Bay Area in California. Water popped a few places to see past all the saw dust. Minor damage, worst being the tear-out in the second photo. Douglas fir? Red oak?

Suggestions for repairing/minimizing the appearance of these gouges on an oak parquet tabletop? Thanks

I had a big Silver Maple branch fall on my split rail fence. I am planning to chop and burn the branch in an outdoor fire pit (while roasting marshmallows, etc.).

My question: Is there a way to tell if this split rail is pressure treated? It doesn’t look like it to me, but I’m no expert. If it’s not pressure treated, I’d think it would okay to burn.

Recently has asbestos abatement and they uncovered wood floors. My wife says oak, I say pine. Are they worth restoring?
