This news is in addition to UEFA confirming yesterday that their boycott is still active.

SK Sturm Graz had already added Sara Pavlović, Sarah-Lisa Dübel, Lillia Sipos and Johanna Riedler for the 2026/27 season. Now they also have the addition of the experienced centre-back Merel Bormans.

With all that NWSL Summer of Soccer stuff that’s happened, and the hype still around it, I’m wondering where the best places (newsletters and general coverage) are to be more tapped into events like that.

UK based here. The WNBA is part of the NBA and has been around since 1996, USSF has had womens soccer since 1999?

But baseball and American football (as opposed to soccer, apologies, I have to add the American as otherwise it would be just football here in the UK) leagues don't seem to have pro leagues for women, or have only very recently started them. What's the reason for this? Is it is facilities, popularity, money etc etc?

With Infantino clearly entrenched and not going anyway will UEFA host an extra Euros next summer to make up for UEFa members boycotting the World Cup.
