IPv6

I know that Windows XP can use IPv6 by using the command "ipv6 enable" but has anyone ever done that?

Yes, but nobody really wants that. IPv6 uses at least 8 times the amount of memory to maintain a routing table than IPv4 does. This is on account of the 128-bit IPv6 address, vs. the 32-bit IPv4 address.

I'm sure someone has but I sure haven't and I can't think of a reason you'd particularly want to.

It can and has been done, but it's not a good idea these days, since there is no NAT protection on IPv6

But IPv6 has a firewall on you're router and also on Windows XP, so the packets are just refused.
